What is the Procession of Silence?
It is a living Via Crucis in which the passion and death of Christ are represented, with a style similar to that of the Semana Mayor in Seville.
Year after year, the Procession of Silence is held in the capital of San Luis Potosí. This tradition began in 1954 and comes to life every Good Friday; its importance is such that in 2013 it was declared as Intangible Cultural Heritage of the State of San Luis Potosí.
This 2019 I celebrate 66 uninterrupted years of being part of the Potosi culture. Its long career has placed it in the eyes of the world, since it is the only one that shows the complete Stations of the Cross and the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary.
