- NEW 2022 - 🔥FØNIX - FÅRUP SOMMERLAND
Fønix (Phoenix), a brand-new Vekoma roller coaster is designed to be the largest, fastest, and probably the most exciting amusement park ride in Denmark. The ride will stand at 40 meters tall, reach speeds of up to 95 kilometers an hour, feature the world’s first “stall loop” element, and have more airtime than any other amusement park ride in Scandinavia.
Fårup Sommerland is expecting Fønix to rise up and overlook the entire park by April 2022. Guests will soon experience its thrilling twists, turns, drops, and loops at speeds of up to 95 kilometers per hour, making it both the largest and faster than any other roller coaster in Denmark.
This looks amazing! I hope some American parks can start buying more Vekoma coasters because all your European rides look awesome!
I dont think America can get them, I believe its something to do with there parent company, sansei. I'm pretty sure S&S do all the work over in America while here in the EU Vekoma Do It. I'm not certain on it but that's what I've heard!
@@DoubleARay if they made the exact same coasters that’s what I would think too, but Vekoma has worked in America before, and the SLC’s were very successful and popular by parks. So I think if a large chain like six flags or cedar fair asks For a vekoma, they will get one. Also, the suspended family coasters are being built all over the US by Vekoma even though S&S makes the exact same ride model.
@@DoubleARay, Vekoma has worked in the US quite a lot, but only with suspended family coasters and rides for Disney - there’s definitely no reason they couldn’t also ship over a larger model.
@@DoubleARay it’s kinda like that with S&S staying in the us because they are tried and true while Vekoma rebuilds it’s reputation overseas however we are supposed to be seeing new age vekomas within the next five years in the us
this ride costs DKK 100 million and is the most expensive ride made to date in denmark and the highest at about 43 meters above the ground and a top speed of about 95kmt and je gbor 25km from fårup summerland which has been named best summerland 4 years in a row in the north and it costs 275kr a little acid in the lobster holiday and get into the park and then everything is free and try
Vekoma Sommerland
The pacing on this is absolutely RIDICULOUS, I love the look of this
After riding it, I can say congratulations, Vekoma. Your team of winners made a winner!
Can't wait for one of these new gen Vekomas to hit the US
I dont think America can get them, I believe its something to do with there parent company, sansei. I'm pretty sure S&S do all the work over in America while here in the EU Vekoma Do It. I'm not certain on it but that's what I've heard!
@@DoubleARay They CAN get them, they just try and encourage the purchasing of an S&S product instead. I mean we've seen plenty of SFCs built, there's no reason whey we can't see one of these.
@@crashcoaster3852 yh, fair enough.
they wont, its a danish roller coaster
@@slowestflake That doesnt mean anything.
This makes Kondaa look like an SLC
The name of this project best describes Vekoma’s career; They rose from the ashes and got stronger than ever!
the hell are you talking about boi
@@alien150 Vekoma is a company with a pretty messy past, the Vekoma SLC is a horrible model in most installations (particularly in the U.S.), plus some of their loopers weren't very good (Blue Hawk at SFoG was apparently really bad as Ninja). They used to be a joke in terms of quality in the past with some of the worst coasters on the planet (Goudrix, most SLC's, etc.) when it came to enthusiasts.
But in recent years Vekoma has been killing it, I consider them to be doing better than INTAMIN (I mean the created the best layout for the Hyperion, sadly the Intamin won).
This comeback from being a bad company to a real contender in the industry is what the first guy was referring to.
@@AceAviations2no what the hell does the name mean
@@AceAviations2but btw their giant inverted boomerangs were DRIP
@@Didyus Veldkoning Machinefabriek. SLC stands for Suspended Looping Coaster :)
That looks awesome! If it is implemented in exactly the same way, we can look forward to a great novelty!
Possibly the best coaster in the world even
@@my_commenting_account nahhh top 20 I would say

@@Battlegris I already looked at that three days ago after the upload. But thank you very much anyway!🙂
Corkscrew station fly-through?!?!?!
Vekoma came to PLAY!
what an amasing Layout, love it
Awesome layout - you keep on improving and challenge the standards of the industry with every new project. Impressive!
you make your coasters in No Limits 2 ?
ive never seen a loop like that before, beutiful vekoma cant wait
Oh way! I can't wait for next year!
Might this be the first coaster to do a fly-by in the station INVERTED? Why yes, yes it might.
That’d be Lech Coaster
It was done in 2017 in Poland
Can we have one of these in the UK please !!!!!!
Bravo Vekoma!!!!!!!!!!
No over the shoulder restraints? 😍
yeah, isn't it great ! ! ! ! ! ! !
One moment similar to Lech Coaster in Poland (Legendia).
Please come to North America!
So tell me, do you have a BOGO deal on thrill coasters + a family boomerang? Boomerang + Formula, Raik + FLY, Volldampf + HüK, Light Explorer + Abyssus, Spartan Race + Wrath of Zeus, and now Saven + Fønix!
@potato guy Yes? That's the entire point of my comment?
@potato guy Those are also a Vekoma Thrill coaster + A Family Boomerang built within short timeframe
Well technically a BOGO with 3 because Fårup Sommerland also got Orkanen from Vekoma.
Damn..... Ok Vekoma i see you
When are we gonna see one of these in the US?
I dont think America can get them, I believe its something to do with there parent company, sansei. I'm pretty sure S&S do all the work over in America while here in the EU Vekoma Do It. I'm not certain on it but that's what I've heard!
@@DoubleARay if that's the case, then explain Dragonflyer at Dollywood? S&S have their own suspended/inverted family coaster as does B&M. I have my doubts about that because Dragonflyer wouldn't have been built if that was the case.
Plus given the issues that most S&S coasters have dealt with (Galeforce, Steel Curtain, Merlin's Mayhem), that deal wouldn't be of benefit. Plus S&S doesn't have a thrilling invert model or flying coaster model.
Oh and don't forget about Disney either, they're set to open TWO next-gen Vekomas next year here in the U.S.
I suspect that it has to do with the rather negative image the company has over here thanks to the SLCs and other less than smooth rides.
@@AceAviations2 yep I agree. I just wish these companies would wake up and put the past behind them in some cases. Vekoma has clearly CLEARLY made huge changes and improvements and honestly are making some of the best rides out there. I understand they don’t have a great history aside from their Disney coasters but all these new models are performing extremely well so far.
It’s the same situation with Intamin. Yes in the past they have had consistency issues and there was the problem with Shoot the Rapids at Cedar Point but that was years and years ago. Intamin seems to have worked out all the issues their former coasters had with restraints and reliability. Yes Hagrid’s had so issues but that’s an extremely complex ride and it’s working well now. Look at Taron, Taiga, Hyperion, Konda, Pantheon, VELOCICOASTER! All are amazing rides in the new Intamin style plus the ones in China but I can’t speak to those as much. Also Intamin rides tend to be the most popular or in the top group in any park. Cedar Fair is writing them off but some of their parks’ most popular rides are from Intamin.
sadly juvlen in djurs sommerland is the longest roller coaster here in denmark 1KM long and fønix is under 1Km so ain't denmarks longest one
I think this is in no limits 2 🇳🇱🇳🇱
someone tell me why vekoma boomerangs get stuck all the time, or at least my local one does. it got stuck twice in one day and gets stuck most days right at the top.
This looks awesome
This won't have the vest restraints?
it probably will, the NoLimits2 Vekoma train model just doesn't have them.
It will, they released images of the train and it showed vests.
@@crashcoaster3852 ah that's a shame
@@samkuyken1971 they ain’t a downside tho
Six flags has got to start buying vekoma coasters agin there is too much b&m and intamin in our parks we need innovative fun thrilling and much more and vekoma certainly gives that
Soooo gooood!
Yes
1:40 That’s a big 🖕to Maverick 😳
How?
@@MicrowavedBurrito1 they removed the heartlineroll on maverick
😅
@@MicrowavedBurrito1 The curved swoop down into a tight roll but done succesfully
wow!!!
I feel sick already.
Wow

I'm going to try that and I'm going to die and my cousin's are going to come to my pictures looks funny but not for me and my legs shakes all day
This is going to be fantastic, can't wait to give it a go next summer.
