Nice comparison! I get the feeling that the Player-bass is a bit louder than the other two (when I switch between parts in the video), which gives the impression that it sounds fatter / punchier than the other two
I could say sound wise the MIM standard and squier CV are on par with one another meanwhile the modern player is like a beefed up version of the standard. If you are planning to purchase a quality bass without breaking the bank squier CV series are the way to go in my opinion plenty of cheap upgrade if you wanted to even beef up the tone/sound of it starting with the pick up (Seymour duncan,dimarzio and EMG etc) But still you can't go wrong with a fender MIM like other people say "fender is fender no explanation needed".
i own all three models. the biggest punch has the player, second place the squier cv and conclude the standard I will sell. the player series is superior to standard.
Deciding between a CV60s and player p bass currently. Was siding with the CV but after handling them i think they feel cheap. Meanwhile i love my player jazz bass. I’m hoping the player p bass feels more premium. Prefer the Cv sound but I’m hoping to change out the pup on my future player with some fender 1962s.
Sounds like an awesome plan. I’ll go for the Player series Forsure. The CV series does feel cheaper compared to player. As soon as you change those stock pickups… it’ll become a monster 🤘🏼
Loved the player series! BUT liked the Squier over the standard. Cool review, a d love the song!

Love the standard! The Player had some great punch but the squire did not have much life to it. Thanks for all the bass fun.

Too bad that one bass has aftermarket pickups. Beside that, nice comparison. And nice „backing track“ as well! ❤
