South Africa and Zimbabwe Steam 1988 number 1

The first of 3 videos on steam in 1988 in South Africa and Zimbabwe.
The opening sequences add Botswana as for a short while Mafikeng depot had to work all traffic to the first loop in Botswana with a 25NC.
The video is edited in the order in which the sequences were taken.

Sat here on a rubbish winter morning in West Yorkshire, watching Beyer Peacock Garratts scaling the banks in the North.....flooding memories of travelling from Bulawayo to Victoria Falls /Livingstone in the 80s as a kid...thank you for posting

Winter in west Yorkshire must be very different to Zimbabwe any time. Thank you for your kind comment. I had many good times following steam in Zimbabwe.
