Not just honeybees, there’s a bunch of native bees (that are sadly dwindling in numbers due to all the European honey bees people keep and use, since the honeybees out-compete them with resources) that help a ton too. Honey bees aren’t native to the US (at least not the quintessential honey bee we all think of that are kept by beekeepers). Lots of kinds of wasps can also be helpful, they eat many of the kinds of bugs that damage plants in people’s gardens!
I work outside in a trailer and will bring fruit as a snack. I have a nest of bees nearby that like to come over and clean all of the sugar out of my fingernails from the fruit i peel. I love my little friends so much and it brings me joy to help contribute to their cause.
Fuzzy butt: bumblebee Shiny butt: carpenter bee Both pretty chill, although bumblebees can be social and build communal nests, carpenter bees are mostly sedentary.
I do hardwood sanding n refinish work.. usually old homes..today a Honey bee slowly crawled out of heat vent.. my c-worker was about ready to smash ... I yelled Noooo!. I set it outside in a dry spot during Michigan cold rain
I hate killing bees but sadly i have to since they are always getting inside and my dogs 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 for the love of crap they keep thinking they are flys and get sting. ALTHO my dalmation actually ate a living bee, stung ber tounge and somehow she was ok no swelling no problems. My vet was puzzled as i was.
Without bees humans wouldn't survive no joke do some research on bees and the environment theres many of country who wiped out there bees and payed the price so they introduced bees back and put them on a protected list
This is a female, but it's not a "worker bee". It's a Carpenter bee. Carpenter bees don't form cooperative hives, they live in a nest of 2, a male and female. The male defends the nest while the female builds and tends the eggs. This is a female because the face is black. Male Carpenter bees have a white face.
I had carpenter bees in my deck every year. I called them contractor bees for years. I knew when Mama was doing the nest in my deck because a male would hover halfway down my outside steps. Then if I tried to walk down he would dive bomb me!!! It was terrifying. Then I heard males don't sting, they were just protecting the nest. I was still scared. So as soon as he made an appearance, we would use the side door until they were gone lol
Bro with bee: ❤🥰😇
Bro with wasp: 💀😈💀
How do I do 😂
Carpenter bee. Very friendly species
I wAs told males have no stinger and females only sting as a last resort
not friendly to houses that have wood.
@@rheziii true

@@rheziiiwhy is that?
The bee is eternally grateful for wiping out its arch nemesis
Honey bees and (most) spiders, they do lots for us all.

This is a carpenter bee. Beneficial, extremely docile.

Bro!!!! I am the absolute same way😂 I'm a pest control tech and I absolutely feel this 💯
You are the Bee's most valuable ally... Congrats.
I saved a bumblebee from an ocean. It was so adorable when it was just sitting next to me drying up
Bumble bees are chill as fuck. I always scoop them out of my pool with my hand to save them

Great to watch them cleaning themselves.
Bees are friends but wasps and hornets can be ant food.
How many times are you stung each day in your field of work?
Little dudette. Worker bees are female.
