This is a great restaurant! Love how they change the menu through the seasons. Like the california grill of california. Its a big place also. Definitely have to get a wine. I actually love Silverado Dave! Amy and i went there when we lived on the west coast great wine. Food looked extra special! And the palette cleanser is very classy. That gnocchi also! That was a huge portion for the entree. Wow you did good guys! 😊
That's a great way to describe it as the California Grill of California! 😄 That's really neat that you've been to the Silverado winery, we really enjoy good California wine 🍷 Cheers friend, and thanks for watching! Hope you're having a great weekend!
I love The Grand Californian! It reminds me of The Wilderness Lodge in Disney World. Also, the presentation of the food, was very nice. Great review again! 😊😊😊
This looks like such a great restaurant!! We passed by here on our trip last year but ended up eating at the Craftsman instead, this looks so good and I absolutely love this resort. Mmm that scallop is huge! The gnocchi looks so good. Nice the scallops have a sweetness and the peaches. Fun! Love the dessert with the macadamia nuts, yum! I love mango. Great combo with the mango and the chocolate. Great review as always! 😊💕
It's a great option if you're wanting a fine dining experience, such great food/wine! We went to the Craftsman on our trip as well and really enjoyed it too! Thanks for watching, we appreciate it! Hope you're having a great weekend! 😄
Hello! We didn't do the Gastronomic Journey or Vintner's Table special dining experience, but they did allow us to order some of the items from the Vintner's Table menu. It was our first time dining there so we were excited to try a variety of items on their menu, it was definitely a fun experience for us! disneyland.disney.go.com/dining/grand-californian-hotel/napa-rose/menus
Went there a couple of days ago, it was good but not amazing imo. Maybe I should have had some alcohol 🍷 idk I did like the filet mignon, cooked perfectly and flavorful. The service was good. My daughter had the paella and the shrimp wasn’t cleaned, which is really weird for a restaurant of this caliber and price. She didn’t say anything to be polite until afterwards, but had I known, I would have certainly said something about it to the waiter. The sea diver scallop was perfectly cooked but I wouldn’t get it again, at almost $30 I felt it was overpriced for one medium size scallop. Aside from the steak, I thought the other courses were overpriced…we had better food for much less at Cafe Orleans in Disneyland. Sure, they don’t place a napkin on your lap and offer a huge book of wine choices, but it’s excellent food. Even the steak quesaburria tacos and San Fransokyo street corn at Cocina Cucamonga in California Adventure had more heart and flavor than anything I had at Napa Rose.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We had a similar experience as you, although everything was cooked and cleaned properly, that is disappointing about the shrimp your daughter had! We had great service but portion sizes were very small for the price and I agree, we’ve had some really great food for more affordable price at other places in the park. 👍
