- Опубліковано 20 сер 2020
- SCP-3000 is a massive, aquatic, serpentine entity strongly resembling a giant moray eel (Gymnothorax javanicus). The full length of SCP 3000 is impossible to determine, but is hypothesized to be between 600 and 900 kilometers.
SCP-3000 - Anantashesha (SCP Animation) animated scp video is based on SCP 3000 entry Ananteshesha, this one is for the monster school books!

Well, submarines cost a lot, so is training a crew, feeding them and paying them salaries.
On the other hand, D class personnel cost food, transport and that's about it. Oh and maybe a diving suit and about 10k worth of equipment.

Fun fact "Anantashesha" is actually a character in Hindu mythology, better known as Adishesha among Hindus. He is the mount upon which one of the main gods(Lord Vishnu) rests and plays an important role in almost all the stories.
He is massive beyond imagination and among other cool things is said to remain even after the end of creation.
(Anantashesha - he who remains)
wow tysm for the cool fact
Is it the same Anantashesha thats mentioned in the video and also from Hindu
Or are there 2 Anantasheshas?
@@findtheshuaibs3888 In Hindu mythology there is only one Anantashesha, the concept of SCP-3000 might have been inspired from him. It's a very interesting take and certain descriptions of the original certainly fit the cosmic horror genre.
@@starless_nights Oh ok
I'm just asking because they also mentioned the Anantashesha myth in the video, so I was just wondering if you were explaining it further or talking about something else
@@findtheshuaibs3888 there is supposedly only one as he is the remainder of all the previous universes I think the scp foundation only took the name Anantashesha
The only thing that I don't understand is why they didn't use underwater drones to do the exploration instead of actual people.
Cause then the D-class would get bored
Well, there are a bunch of explanations, but always remember SCPs are written by a bunch of different people.
1. To test the SCP reaction to actual human.
2. In a cruel/pragmatic way, to use condemed people for the good of humanity.
3. Some infohazard scps are know to be able to propagate themselfes trough eletronical means.
Contact with SCP-3000 was made in 1972, they probably didn't have decent drones yet.

Scp-3000 secretes the most powerful amnesiac the foundation has ever laid their hands on, which helps protect the secrecy of the foundation and anomalies. Thus scp-3000 has earned itself the thaumiel classification
Amnestic
Forget me drugs
Anantashesha is one of the best SCPs. Existential terror always makes the best terror in my eyes, because few things are more terrifying than what’s simply the truth.
Also, it has one of the strongest combos of abilities out of any SCPs. Besides it’s huge size and effective immortality (doesn’t age and nothing’s strong enough to kill it) it’s both antimemetic (can delete parts of your mind) and memetic (can change parts of your mind). This creates the ability to remove every piece of you and replace it with fear and a realization of how small you are. The urge to end this tiny existence. To swim into its jaws. It would be so easy. So simple. You could have nice and quiet. Sleep. Leave the darkness. Enter oblivion. Don’t realize it. Float in the vastness. Stop feeling the eyes.
Stop everything.
Be nothing.
You already are.

That amnestic "cloud" it produces must be pretty powerful to be capable of affecting people who *aren't even in physical contact with the water* such as those who are in a submarine.
I have thallasaphobia, and just looking up pictures of 3000 make me shiver. I could never do something like these guys.
I too fear the ocean. Then again, a phobia is an irrational fear, and I think it is perfectly natural and logical to fear going deep underwater.
Imagine that this SCP is what the Vikings mistook for Jormungandr, the world serpent, which stretches all the way round what they believed to be the flat Earth. The Earth we know today is over 24,000 km around the equator. That's not terrifying.
That's what I was thinking.
What if it's also what the Mesopotamian's called the Basmu serpent?
You would be thinking of SCP-722.
There's no evidence that the vikings ever believed in a flat earth. Most people in the Viking Age would have experienced the world as a network of routes, and there's nothing to really show that they ever imagined what these routes would look like from space. Many of them, being seafarers, had the opportunity to make the observation that the earth is curved, but with the vast expanses of the North Atlantic on one hand and the endless Asian steppe on the other, they had little reason to think about where the world ended. Some point out that the myth about the Midgard serpent that surrounded the world, would indicate they thought the earth was round. But this should be more properly thought of as a homestead in a larger world rather than a self-contained planet. The myths that do survive similarly suggest that Viking Age conceived of these homelands scattered across a cosmography unified by a tree but had no interest in where this tree's world ended. Nothing indicates that they were afraid of falling off a world edge. The Eddas themselves only show that Midgard was made of the corpse of Ymir the primordial giant.
The name Ananta Sesha is from the great serpent of Hindu mythology who cradles the preserver Vishnu himself, the serpent and Vishnu himself are said to be beyond this universe and dimension.
I suggest you do:

There should be The Flesh that loves. It could be a gentle and cute mutation of SCP-610. Normal 610 and it could be cousins. 😳❤️
I vote for 166
@@firdauslajuenterprise7575 SCP-166 is a human female about 16 years old. No Human male is allowed to see or look at her, or else those men and boys will start becoming violent and would do anything just to get to Scp-166. The affected individuals start becoming 'Sex-Crazed' humans and the only thing they can think about is Scp--166.
So yeah!....Scp-166's mind-affecting powers is truly dangerous.
@@ilkkarautio2449 Scp-610 is found in an abandoned village in central Russia.
@@wonderman7166 It wasnt abandoned before 610. But maybe a part of it mutates into a kind version that loves humans and life in general, feeding everyone who is hungry and trying to save others from danger. It would be The flesh that loves, an euclid (or even safe) SCP thats able to roam the facility its placed free because of its kind nature. 😳❤️
The only reason I can listen to these stories without getting nightmares is cuz of the graphics and sound effects that are just adorable.
They have boxing gloves for hands.

It is the infographics show, it’s just that this channel is the infographics that explains the SCP lore. But it’s not completely accurate since they just started and trying to look into the lore.
This is one of the Instances Where They should’ve just sent in Drones
RIGHT!? Like this creature obviously has psychological effects on people so why the fuck would you send people...again
back then there weren't any half decent drones so they had too.
Although scps don't exist if they did that would be the best idea
@@kyptos2252 They would probably send humans to test the psychological effects. But agree that for most scps that they determine to eliminate they could attack it remotely instead of sending swarms of d class to die and fail
