Nice thorough review. I didn't find it that complex at all, and I am less enthusiastic about the command tracks. I found they take focus away from the map too often. Also I found the numerous cards a little bit "gamey"; just by a fraction. Overall, I didn't get any period feel from it, but have to admit it was fun at times. Finally, I think the Prussians have so many inherent and systemic advantages over the Austrians (especially how only the Prussians can benefit from the 5VP hexes, and once those are captured, the Austrians have no way to "make those points up") that balance is an issue. Historically, that might be correct, but for the players, the Austrians are really up against it.
