In the first story i can gurantee that the chudail screeching sound was nothing but a watchmans whistle.
I know this because when i was younger i was in my mamas house in nagpur, and i was a late sleeper, i heard a very scary sound of a woman screeming exactly at certain times in the night, this scared me a lot, the next day i told my sister about this, that night she stayed awake to hear it and she heard it too! She was very scared as well so the day after that we told our mama about this. That night he stayed up with us and as soon as he heard it he realised it was the local area watchman who would do rounds of the colony and blow the whistle at certain points in the night to keep would be theives away.
