Key Hill Cemetery, Birmingham, England. A beautiful example of a ruined Gothic Victorian necropolis. Several reported hauntings have been witnessed here.
Excellent video, thanks for posting. Very questionable looking rope at 11:30 me thinks :) If you are interested in the sinister type stuff our city has to offer have a look at the birmingham anchor - entrances not far from warstone lane. Keep up the good work :)
tom kedwards Thanks for the kind words Tom, we are in danger of losing our beautiful Victorian cemeteries, day by day those ornate angels and headstones - which the Victorians loved so much - are simply falling over or being vandalised. Yes, I thought that rope in Key Hill looked a bit sinister as well ! If you share a love of the gothic and haunted places, try Brandwood End Cemetery near Kings Heath. I recently uploaded a youtube clip ' The haunted Chapel of Brandwood End Cemetery ' - if you fancy a look... Relatively untouched by vandalism - it has a beautiful chapel and some of the best collection of angel statues in the Midlands. Thanks for subscribing to my humble little channel - I intend to try and document all haunted sites in Birmingham/Solihull/North Warwickshire - eventually - before many of the locations are lost forever and their history forgotten. Did you know the whole area of Snow Hill, running up Colmore Row, to Victoria Square used to be a mass communal cemetery ? This was even before Warstone & Key Hill cemetery were established. The whole of Bennetts Hill, Edmund Street, stretching to the Jewelry Quarter is one mass grave. . . Thanks again for subscribing Tom, compared with some professional and semi-professional youtube channels, Im simply one man with an android phone and a deep knowledge of history and the occult. Nothing fancy - but your welcome !
ah mate your channel is exactly what youtube needs! Yeah my nan and grandad are buried in section 18 of brandwood end - if you are ever there theres a white marble headstone with doreen and martin clancy. Say hi to them for me :) Yeah the burial site you mention was classed as hallowed ground and served unbaptised children, unknowns and hangings from the crossroads gallows. Only reason I know is that I work as an embalmer in the sutton coldfield area. Think we need to have a nice pint and swop some factisms :) Nice to speak to someone with the same interests. Keep up the excellent work - also thoroughly enjoyed your work on the warstone lane catacombs. Thoroughly excellent work my friend :D
