  • Palmer Luckey’s defense technology startup, Anduril Industries, is developing products he says the United States needs as a matter of national security. Anduril has already built surveillance systems for military and defense agencies and is now adding a drone-destroying capability to its product line. The company recently secured a contract to deploy its interceptor system in conflict zones overseas. But all of this makes Anduril, and Luckey, highly unusual in the tech industry, which has seen workers openly rebel against any work that would give surveillance capabilities to law enforcement or the military.

They already know what type of weapons and tech that the military have and so that alone makes it easy for them to understand where the weak and strong point are in our military and so with that, I believe the USA making there own tech would keep other countries guessing instead them already knowing and already have an idea on to go about thing since they know where our weak points are.

For Swarms Of Retail-Type Drones Use "Old West" Style Windmills
Add Cheap Proximity Radar (Cop's Radar Gun)
Add Homemade Rockets ( Scrap Metal/Gravel For Shrapnel)
You Then Have A FLAK TOWER (Powered By The Wind)

They track people moving through an environment, but don't do facial recognition. Ok, but can software be written to identify unique gaits and postures? Body geometry would be difficult to alter. Gaits and postures may not be as unique as fingerprints or ears, but in a small enough group, 100, 1,000, or more, could "leaders" be identified and targeted? Wonder what Ron Swanson would think of all this.

4:33 REALLY?!? THAT IS HER CONCERN WITH ALL THIS?!?!?
Isn't it more concerning the potential violation for privacy and government using it on their own citizens?!
If this technology gets in the hands of a government that is corrupt or does not have individual rights it can create a 1984 like state.

What he wants to do is allow counties in the US to drone a plot of private land to see if a county ordnance is being violated, so the county can fine and take the private land away! It is being done in Washington State as a few bricks near a driveway was a violation and the home owner was fined using a drone. It if can generate revenue, it will be used by all levels of Government! I suggest a high power counter signal device (DIY instructions online) to scramble the electronics rather than getting jailed for destroying Government property as the laws that are enforced now!

This Lucky guy seems nice enough, but his philosophy scares the bejeezus out of me. Clearly he would support any government use of his tech, regardless of his weak protestations to the contrary. Also, I suspect that as long as he makes a buck, whatever Uncle Sam does with his tech is okee-dokee with him. But the reality is that this tech is going to show up more and more in law enforcement and the military, That genie is not going back into the bottle. Hopefully we can keep a lid on the worst abuses inherent in such capabilities.
