Song selection spot on, nice work dude! Crod kills, didn't realise he was that good. Some of these old footage reminds me of some good times watching skate videos. Cheers man
Roberts is pure shit on the deck but I don't mind it makes other skaters look good big ups for making others look better you shit bum on the deck,Roberts here's to u.
Dude i followed all the skaters since the mid nineties and never heard of chris roberts until the nine club. I had to go back and watch his stuff. Dude had some steez
Watching the Listen video in the 90's. He instantly became my favorite. His style was ahead of it's time. I think a lot of people saw that vid and more than likely feel the same way i do. He's misunderstood a tiny bit, cause his sarcasm and jokes go over their head. One of the Best
Wow so much sick footage I've never seen before. So much of his skating is actually incredibly difficult. It's easy to forget how amazing his skateboarding is. It's funny because some of the bleached blonde phase looks like peter smolik and doug des autels had a baby. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
I honestly feel like there’s no reason he couldn’t still do many of these same tricks today. Instead he’s slappying curbs. Lol he is NOT too old to skate this similar style in my opinion. Love these clips.
I pulled a pair of puffy etnies out of my closet the other day. Insane how well they skated. And durability light years beyond what is out nowadays. I will admit the overall fashion style isn’t cool looking but damn they just hold up so much better.
Back in 2004 at the outdoor park in Calgary I was skating n I looked up n their was Crob , the entire chocolate team was there . Great day. Chris was so kind.
Surf N Dope ya I also grew up on nose grinds and five-0s never touching the rail or ledge but seems like a lot of younger guys don’t care, but then again they are doing giant ass round rails lmao 😂
Perfect nose grinds and 5.0’s. And sick nose as well as switch manny’s. All of his manny’s are sick. And the reverts and the shuvit in out and during his manny’s,dope. Not to mention the flips out of his grinds and slides. As someone already said, his style is as smooth as chocolate !!! Amazing he did all of this on a 7.75 deck. He’s since changed to an 8.25 double nose/double/tail. CROB just gave us a lesson on having smooth style !!! Awesome editing !!! You did an amazing job on this video my brother !!!
This had to be so hard to put together! RESPECT! And C-Rob really killed it! Great and unique style! I love the tricks he choose to do, really inspiring :) And his sence of humor caught throug out the whole edit... I just love that
One of the best skate videos I have ever seen thus far! Love this! chris roberts is my favorite skateboarder of all time in my opinion, for sure legend next to his peers who are legends themselves, the nine club!!
damn everything after like 10:30 was so tech, i knew c rob was the manny god but i didnt realize he was so innovative! those nose mannys to nosegrind and noseblunt were rad!
Never heard of Chris Roberts, he came after my skate days. I am a fan of the 9 club though and what they do. So i looked up who this cat is and damn. Love his chill laid back style. Reminds me of myself back in the day the only difference is he is like the skater i never became too scared to really push myself. As I'm getting older now to this day i still see something that catches my eye and I'm like "I'd skate that" though i haven't picked up a board since the late 80's. Once a skater always a skater..... At least mentally 😎 Great video thanks so much sharing 👍 Much respect to all these new gen skaters things you all do now?? Just is amazing 👍👍
Sounds like I'm not as old as you, but I also didn't have the guts to push myself properly. Now I'm going to try and get back into it, just for fun and exercise more than anything... but it' s still kind of nerve-wracking.
This video rules! Thank you sir!!! I get stoked on alot of his tricks but that half cab board(lip?)slide to nose manual nollie backside heelflip out is bonkersss.. Hopefully I said that right.. there's so much control and so much going on in one trick! This man possesses steez.. He is SPECIAL times 9!

@@spectrumofbass3716 Dudes a stud. If your skating is anything like your music then you should probably stick to your day job buddy.
@@mcscrabbles1952 @spectrum of bass Damn fucking roasted!!!! lmao
so much innovation going on in his skating wow he downplays his skating so much on Nine Club i kinda got brainwashed and forgot how insane he is lol
He always acts like he has no good footy but his nollie noseblunts are clean af
Dude i followed all the skaters since the mid nineties and never heard of chris roberts until the nine club. I had to go back and watch his stuff. Dude had some steez
I think all of them do. I saw some of Eldy's stuff from back in the day and he's so good!
He really does
@@fromseedstogiants eldy was so damn good lol, i had 2 of his pro shoes on ES was one of my fav skaters when i first started out
Larry has to be proud of her father.
Can't we make a petition demanding Crob to make a full part? I don't think he realizes how many that would want that!
LET'S DO IT I'M IN !!!!!!!!!
Roberts with a beard era was hilarious. Dude looked savage.
Keith Richards Liver bleach blonde Crob is my personal favorite
Bleached hair crob and beard crob was heat wish he would bring it back lol
he looks like Willem Dafoe from The Lighthouse
I guess you can call that a beard...
Dont forget his long hair
'' weell ''
we're back...
We are BAAAACK. And today we have a special. SPECial. SPECIAL GUEST! (Name goes here)
Dude is extra crispy on his grinds. Just a smooth style. Very chocolatey.
Freakin well said!
got that kinda penny stoner style with great character and buttery smooth satisfying style... the music work perfectly too. kinda cathartic almost

A lot of Americans don't vibe with that dry humour, but I imagine he's a lot more popular in Canada and the UK and places like that.
i agree, this dude was one some shit for a good while . Love his humour
Say what u will,Chris is class,top notch fella great attitude,great character,true professional.
I honestly thought switch flip switch Manny would be the ender😂
haha i wanted to keep it in chronological order
I respect that decision a lot

He just chillin nowadays
Ain’t nothing wrong with the art of curb slappin
Insane manual control. So much style. Chris rips!!
Another great edit!
Starting it out with the Monday Monday made me smile looking forward to this Mondays Nine Club
i miss late 90's skate shoes
☝🏽 ...exactly! DC is still roots and rockin’ the reissues and then some.
I pulled a pair of puffy etnies out of my closet the other day. Insane how well they skated. And durability light years beyond what is out nowadays. I will admit the overall fashion style isn’t cool looking but damn they just hold up so much better.
A true technical street skater idk if it’s even technical it’s just so clean and smooth
I lost count on how many perfect nose grinds I've seen in this video
Is that what 0:05 is? Nollie nosegrind?
@@eight_hundred_eighteen nollie over crook
He was known for them , he does them so perfect even on ledges you can tell don't grind great
Jank City
Big fan of his skating. I love his Transworld A Time To Shine part! Makes you pumped to go skate
That William DeVaughn song goes so well with Robert's skating. Really enjoyed this edit!
Beautiful work as always. At 7:26 I had flashbacks to skate 2
Thanks for sharing good Sir , amazing edit.
Back in 2004 at the outdoor park in Calgary I was skating n I looked up n their was Crob , the entire chocolate team was there . Great day. Chris was so kind.
Amazing job Daniel 🤙🏼👊🏼 you're getting amazing at you editing and it shows hard work and complete obsession👍
Skate 4 life.
Killer edit!! And I think Chris is more comfortable doing switch manuals and 5-0's than normal ones lol. Such a relaxed style, it's fun to watch.
Damn this guy seems like a good talker. He should start a podcast.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Amazing skating with a sick edit!
Nice work Daniel!
Great first song choice
Best nosegrinds and 5-0s in the game. Lost art of not touching the nose or tails on those grinds and Roberts has the most smooth and stable ones ever
Surf N Dope ya I also grew up on nose grinds and five-0s never touching the rail or ledge but seems like a lot of younger guys don’t care, but then again they are doing giant ass round rails lmao 😂
Except he does touch, even in this video, many times. You are not smart.
Touching looks better
@@malice4422I strongly disagree.
It’s so awesome to see the progression of the CRob. Such style. His balance is impecable.
Almost as good as the switch manny 4 hour loop
really good dude, hyped on how it came out
thanks for checking it out!
Wwweelllll.. we. are. back, huh? We're back in the 90s. Chris kills it
God his manual revert is beautiful to watch and it’s crazy how skate styles match the personality of the skater

thx for the work. style
Thanks for putting this all together, so goood
Pretty sweet comp! But I'd be more excited for a Rog comp!
All 3
11:38 best thing on the video
Yeah, that got me stoked
I KNOW DUDE!
This was so good !
thank you!
Honestly love his skating so much. I too am a HUGE manual fan!!! They are my favorite trick in skateboarding and he has them!!!

I actually thought his SW manual SW fs 360 shuv was sicker than the SW flip manny
same!
Me too
Yeah the 3 shuv did look great. Not everyone makes it look good. But, SW flip manny skill wise is on a whole other level.
he said he put more work into the sw flip and it took him longer so he chose it over the sw 3 shuv @@shanes8132
Nice job with this edit Daniel, Chris with great style on and off the board !
Holy shit! I’ll have to check out all the Fueltv I recorded back in the day! I recognize the skating but didn’t realize it was Crob!
Wwwweeeeellllllllll we’re back
best video on youtube period.
Thanks for putting decent music to it. That last clip with the socket 😂
Thanks for making this. I love all your edits.
303canadiana no prob, thank you :)
Dude still skates a 7.75 and doesn’t know how long his board is. Pretty cool!

I was bummed when pretty sweet came out because he was in another montage and the footage that didn't make it was sick
some good stuff left out for sure!
11:39 is smooth AF
that last clip is just so incredibly beautiful
Yes finally a skateboarder who cares about the public’s interest Also the filming of this is so well done, really good camera operator.
I've watched a lot of 9club but never saw crobs skating before. Dude is clean
Grinds the whole damn ledge every time…. No nose scraping either 🔥🔥🔥
Hey man! This is dope!!!!
Gotta Love Lonnie Smith! Expansions really goes/fits well with Chris Robert's Style
his skating style goes so well with jazz
You watch this video and you build a whole new perspective on him it’s crazy
I think in order to get Chris to film a full part in 2019, we need to dig out the Venice Pit.
Sick Chris def underrated
He is/was so good. Happy he scored such a great job hosting the 9 club!
so sick .. i always thought he must have way more footage that i never saw.
Very underrated
You don't need to flip out of your grinds when you've got style like Chris.
That's what it means to be trash
This video rules! Thank you sir!!! I get stoked on alot of his tricks but that half cab board(lip?)slide to nose manual nollie backside heelflip out is bonkersss.. The way he does varial heels are so sick, the late pish down is gansgsta looking
That´s sick, good job!!!!
That 5:07 Manny combo still blows my mind. Like he just taps his wheels and reverts back so quickly.
Switch frontside 180 to nose manual revert to switch manual. More going on there than it seems on the surface.
It's these kinds of videos that made me ride my board every day as a kid. I wonder what gave him inspiration as a kid
You can see how much crazier his skating got with each decade. It’s looks very simplistic but it’s very tech towards the back half
Very nice!
Awesome compilation.
Chris Roberts is one of my favorite skaters. He has a timeless style. Kind of like Brian Lotti.
This remix has got me soooo hyped! Not sure if you skated any but the Hamilton's from adio some of my favorite cup sole shoes!
He’s always been doing them long ass grinds and I’ve loved/respected that about em
So manuels and nose grinds ? He didnt do anything higher than his hips. Ive never been so bored watching someone skate
Have you never used a go pro before ?
6:40 - is that the trick constantly on loop behind Chris in the nine club interviews?
1:50 red hill park Rancho Cucamonga. I live right next to that park and use to skate the same ledge 👏
👑 of balance!!! 👏💕👍
I never knew who this dude was till 9club and I started skating in 1997
Did not expect that William Devaughn near the end there. 🙏🏼🌹🙏🏼 This was cool. 🙏🏼🚫🧢🙏🏼
solid track
You rockin them Dyrdek 1's in this Chris?.. Miss the 90s skate era!!!
His style is what makes it so addicting. Smooth.
Duuuude Chris Robert’s is sleppppt on. 🤤🤤
is 6:40 the trick that’s always looped in the background of the podcast?
1:48 'Due to injury, Chris Roberts was not able to complete his part.'
yeah that was off logic video magazine.either no 3 or 4 from 1999/2000. he still had a hot minute in it though.
He's got such good clips I've never seen he killed it
love this
