Good video job well done. Very slow detailed instructions. 40 years ago, no one ever shared their secrets. Thanks again.
tim tebow hunts?
Awesome video!
liked and saved. I just bought me one and am now practicing. thanks.
Thanks, this helped me start using a mouth call! Now I'm just waiting til' spring to get some results!
Great video! Thank you very much. I've been using box and slate calls but they're more difficult hunting by yourself. Can't wait to get this down and get out there this spring!
Great thing for me I've learned how to do the yelp without any tools I talk turkey with my turkeys everyday, love getting our temp tom going he's friendly enough he talks back at you. Those our girls are more inclined to talk they run to meet me when I come outside.
Extremely well done, thanks !!
Awesome stuff! thanks for this vid!
thanks man u really help me using a mouth call
Thanks bro nice job this helped me a lot bc i’m a beginner
thanks!(: it really helped me to learn to explain how to do it... I still can't purr with mine but oh well!
i just started turkey hunting and this helped me
I'm pretty green. My first state sponsored class was yesterday. They gave us a box, slate and mouth call to practice with along with basic instruction. My instructor was impressed that I managed to get the reeds moving to make sound right off the bat. NWTF has a app that allows you to listen to real calls, record yer practice and learn. I've got a good handle on the cluck and yelp but, cant purr with a mouth call. Do you have any additional advice?
nice video man... helped me alot.
Good job.....very instructional...thanks
thanks this will help me out alot
nice video man... thanks it helped alot

Great video man. I thought I was a pretty good caller till I heard you. Today was youth day and I had some birds just outside of shooting range and I couldn't quite get Em in. Probably woulda helped if I knew how to purr lol
nice video! Thanks man.
@XeroJaeger glad I could help...enjoy the spring woods
just bought one, got the sounds first time, they do not sound like yours, should I changed the caller ( mine is curved) or just keep practicing? Thanks for the video
great instruction, i'll reference in the future. at some point you may want to do a video on facial expressions, intense!
@PArackaholic i agree, i was just beginning to get serious about my calling when i made this video...I've since learned how to start a little farther back on the call to hit the bottom reeds giving me a cleaner front end on my yelp. & yes i did call at harrisburg this year
very helpful thanks.
You were merely adopted by the woods.... I was raised by it.... Moulded by it.
@Lcyherrin glad it helped....I feel it's safe to say my calling has improved quite a bit & my technique has also evolved since i made this video....so stay tuned for for a bunch of new videos
@quiverhood
What was the name of the call you were using in the video? Who makes it? I usually go with knight and Hale but I'm somewhat inexperienced when it comes to purchasing turkey calls
very helpful
I always feel like I'm going to swallow those things and kill myself on accident. lol
Stuck that bad boy in my mouth and called my wife from the other room. That hen showed up in ten seconds flat with a sandwich. Well done, sir.
@tigerfan714 honestly, I'd recommend trying a few different cuts....as you can hear, the v cut i'm using is quite raspy, others like the ghost cut can give you a clearer sound. the more time you spend in the woods, the more you'll realize that every hen sounds different. it's really a matter of what you feel most comfortable using
holy shit im ganna get that and start clucking in the middle of class in school
DAMN bro you sure you arent part bird LOL
I have a video coming out soon with me just calling like a gobel goble sounds and i only use my mouth :) it's funny since i have been working with animals all my life and learned how to do it naturally. most of the sounds you made just now i have never tryed . thanks for the video it was nice :)
yes it is
What atype of reed are you using?
man. nice purring.
if there was sum turkeys around him i bet they was wondering what was going on
Don’t kill meh turkey!!
what kind of mouth call??
I like to make a yelp by saying ppreeeee pree pree pree preep
@bmiranda2645 thanks
you nned to trip some of the buzzer off that call man,
Im having trouble making any of these sounds with my mouth call all i get is a buzzy sound that sounds nothing like a turkey??
While holding the middle of your tongue against the top of your mouth say "chuck". That's how I learned.
Jesse Beckton ok thanks for the advice little frustrating but ill try it again
I say chick and choke. Chick - choke - chooke - choooke. I also make amazing turkey sounds with my mouth. Dont want to sound all big headed on that so please dont take it that way, It took a long time to master. I grew up with turkeys as pets and learned by them. Once I was able to master the sounds with my own mouth ad voice, i moved on to a mouth call. And its almost the same. You have to use that call as an extension of your own voice, Practice practice practice. I will admit, im not bad with a mouth call, but 10x better with me own voice/mouth. First step is getting over the gag reflex . If your ever looking for a great custom pot call, send me a message. I hand turn each one. Best of luck.

is it possible to accidentally choke on this device
Turkey hunting in 2012 10 in. and a 4 in.
@elhs93 custom built by my man daymon davis, a professional turkey caller
i cant seem to get the right noise

How tf do I get a sound
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong but I can't even get the reeds to vibrate at all. Not even a peep
Justin Johnson try a different call I had the Same thing
Jeff Stone got a good sound now other than I trimmed the call too short and some air passes around the call. Not enough practice 10 months ago I guess.
would you brecommend me to get a v cut in my mouth call
Jacob Jensen
I have tried many different ones but the one that works for me is the ghost cut
I still can't 😕😕😕😕😕😕💪
Why does my call sound raspy
put the noise through the call then flutter your lips
This stuff is to hard
*too
Damn from the thumbnail I thought you was Tebow.....
