I own a 2009 PT Cruiser. I have owned over 40 cars including Mercedes' and Cadillacs. The three best cars were a 1953 Ford business coupe, quite rare, 6 cylinder with overdrive, a 1973 Mercedes, putting 250k miles on the clock, and the PT Cruiser. Worst cars were 1987 Buick, bought new, 1987 Cadillac, bought new, 1966 Oldsmobile convertible, bought used. Honorable mention goes to a 1964 Renault Dauphin, junky but easiest to work on of any car I'veever owned.
I have purchased hood struts for both of my pt cruisers from a company called Clark & Clark . They are a great add on will save your hood from getting damaged. Some mechanics might forget to release hood prop. Hope this helps.
