Hello, thank you. I really like it when reactors invite guests to share Dimash with those who haven't had the opportunity to discover him yet. Please keep sharing and continue your journey discovering Dimashes multiple talents.
It also shut down the Chinese internet for awhile too. But Dimash became an overnight star. That was in 2017, now he is even more famous around the world with fanatic fans and sold out concerts everywhere. But, I know you know that Sue, as I have read many of your comments and were are both one of those fanatic fans and glad of it.
@@dalb.790 American, I grew up in Kazakhstan, actually, 600,000 phone calls crashed Hunan tvs system. His 1st tv interview at home, he said, trying to be dignified, he and his Dad, exhausted, left immediately, went back to their hotel and crashed, unknowing. Next, morning their elevator door opened to security, police and a wall of screaming fans, he grabbed his father and yelled, something terrible has happened do you think we're safe ?? he's gesturing, Hands pulled them through to a car speeding off while it was explained. His Dad grinned saying what do you think of that son? He said, shaking his head like he was dazed and said I screamed, Stop the car ! You've got the wrong guy ! I'm a kid from Aktobe, I sang one song on tv ! Told it chuckling on local TV, looked down for a second up into the camera, I meant it. The audience burst out laughing, so did my whole family ! he looked around a minute, then grinned, so Dimash, everyone still gets tickled, his tv interview at home after he got famous.
U may know this, but yr comment was a bit mixed up at the beginning re How Dimash came to be known about. So this helps. At age 3,Dimash was taken to the main school of music, in Kazakhstan, because of his obvious connection to everything music. Parents were told he was pitch perfect. His range is now (2022) 7-8 octaves. At 5 he attended that school, he gained degrees in many genres, and received his Docorate of Music quite recently. His mum is an opera singer his dad is a singer too , and he is involved at a high level in the promotion of music in his country Kazakhstan. Dimash won many many prestigious competitions both for sining and instrumentals b4 being known of world wide. He plays 7 or 8 different instruments. He sings in 15 languages, actually think it is more now. And speaks 5 languages. He came to the attention of the organisor of the Chinese TV state singing competition called "The Singer" for established proffessional singers, he was INVITED to take part. This is the competition that brought him to the attention of the world, because the Chinese audiences just loved him, his singing and his humble genuine personality. It was his 1st time away from home no Chinese no English. This was 2017. No one knew who he was or what he could do apart from the organisor. He came 2nd (I do not believe that he could have won a Chinese State TV competition, where he was the 1st and only foreigner to take part. Think that has changed now.) The judges of the singers was the audience, made up of people who were all in the music industry in some way. So hope that clarifies things for u a bit. Enjoyed your responses and comments. Cheers
Hello, I’m from Brazil! For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer (to whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.
Hi I was in his concert in Düsseldorf few months ago and I Can tell you that his voice is really powerful. WE were all stick in out chairs.that was Epic ...standing ovation for each song...incredible expérience
Hi 👋👋 from Daytona Beach, Florida ⛱️🏖️!! I'm a new subscriber, but not new to the World of reaction analysis. Thanks for the reaction guys 👌. It is a direct reflection of your character and shows that your respect and admiration for a Man that is at the "Pinnacle of his Craft"!! Many of you guys can learn from him. It's a shame that you are having some negative comments about the reaction. I guess you will "Always" have that. Anyway, great reaction from you guys and keep it up. Adagio (I am Singer 2017) or Daybreak (at Bastau) are 2 songs that I would recommend. The latter based on a true story (Tragically) which Dimash transferred in his performance 😭
Thanks so much Dave and Jesse for reacting to another Dimash performance - glad you liked it! I especially appreciated the shoutout to the triangle - nothing gets past you Jess! 😂 😉 Hope you're both well.
Dimash sang this song in Ruusian but he was born in Kazakhstan so he is Kazakh ,Dimash has a master degree in classical musc his vocal is 7.5 octaves ,he sings in several different languages an he voice range is amazing ,not from this world
Dimash is the only male vocalist in the entire world who has a complete male and female Registers - Bass, Baritone, Tenor, Alto, Mezzo Soprano, Lyrical soprano , Falsetto, Head voice , and Whistle register...He can do it all! And he can sing any genre -really well! He sings opera, popera, pop, RB, Rock, and can Rap really well in Kazakh. Check out "Olympico" -Arnau Concert in Nur Sultan! It's in Italien and compose for him by Igor Krutoy for the 2nd European Games in Minsk! "Be with Me" the official MV where he sings, fights and Raps, and 'Stranger' from New Wave in Solchi 2021 where he shows off all his registers! His Low notes have gotten lower and his upper registers are insane! Please continue your reactions to him! Love that you discussed the mics and technical stuff too from the production sides...
This song is old. She's over 20 years old. Music by Baigali Serkebayev, and the words to this song were written by the famous contemporary Russian poet Ilya Resnick, author of many Russian music hits The first performer of this song was a singer from Kazakhstan Batyrkhan Shukenov (he died in 2015). He didn't imitate the first performer. Dimash used all his phenomenal abilities and made a completely different interpretation of this song. I can't remember a single song where the singer changed 5 voices (from baritone to soprano) and 4 octaves in one song. And Dimash did it easily. At the end of the song, Dimash sang vocals for 22 seconds in one breath. Dimash tells a great story and draws us into it. Many viewers cry, others have chills. And all together they sit like under hypnosis.
No one, no artist or singer on earth completely has the skills, creativity and sensitivity to blend musical and vocal styles in a spontaneous and masterful way like Dinmuhamed Kanatuly Qudaibergen...Dear Dimash. He breaks the barriers of sung music, overcoming all known vocal limits because the power and versatility of his voice is far superior to any we've ever heard. A singer entirely from other dimensions. Hearing his voice is a challenge to how we truly perceive and love music. Even many of the most skeptical were seduced and seduced by the magic of this artist's vocal power. It is indeed a living legend. ,Dimash's nickname, but his real name is "Din Muhammad". Cody Bergen means "God Gave Him". Dimash speaks Kazakh, Turkish, Russian and a little Mandarin. . Dimash has 8-7 shoulders and sings in 14 world languages, it's the best voice ever. His unparalleled talent and universal base for ascent is a legend. On stage, Dimash is an artist who expresses a lot of feelings and tells stories by singing with his voice, soul and heart. He not only sings, but sends messages and pours his soul and heart.” He is a teacher who cares about the feelings of the character and the story he tells to express them as they are, this is his life. A story. The voice, body language, tone of facial expressions and hands. Dimash becomes the hero of the story, he does not Dimash is a superior equestrian and swimming athlete and has a black taekwondo belt. , a complete and unique artist, coach and teacher since his childhood and he was five years old, is an inexplicable phenomenon., He also received a master's degree in composition, and received a recommendation for admission to doctoral studies in music. He was offered a position in the Astana Opera (Kazakhstan), but decided to start his career in neoclassical opera, he is now 28 years old, 191 cm tall, his mind is wise in a young body, he has 23 years of music experience, Dimash is good at playing many Machines, Dimash in life Young, passionate, kind-hearted, loved by millions in the world, humble and noble... An artist who captures your heart and soul and takes you to new and mysterious worlds, his talent is unparalleled with the rise of his global base, a legendary musician. From another world!! Dimash is the best in the world,Exploding minds Dimash Wonder 8 of the world you are wonderful Thank you for your interaction with King Dimash ,❤,
Rewind to 11.31 and look at the reaction on the face of the keyboardist! The man who stands up and applauds is the incredible Igor Krutoy - a famous Russian composer - who came out of retirement when witnessing the perfection of Dimash, in this performance, to collaborate with him!
Mr. Kudaibergen use his own "Turkic Melismas." This is not middle-eastern style. He used "khoomei" singing technique in "Sinfull passion". You can hear it from the all Turan group (In 6 Independent Republic and a lot of autonomous republics and regions). Tuvan throat singing (Khoomei,xöömei in Tuvan) is one particular variant of overtone singing practiced by people in Turkic Tribes (one of them Tuva), Mongolia, Inner Mongolia and Siberia. Consequently, the source of "riffs and runs" is from his own culture. Dimash use the more modern version (for the last millennium) of these kind of Turkic vocal techniques named "makams" in "Know" and ""Hello". An epitome: ua-cam.com/video/qx8hrhBZJ98/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/LcNgWXgyM88/v-deo.html Some of the Dears says "Joqtaw" for this song's voice style, but I don't agree with them. "Joqtaw" is just a name for recited laments and poems for dead people by Kazakh women. *livingotherwise.com/2017/08/11/singing-back-steppe-kazakh-poetry-battles-contemporary-xinjiang/ This link is an Arab man's Sinfull Passion reaction: ua-cam.com/video/70VeMogTyEI/v-deo.html Basic and clean. Arab Man said never heard it like this thing, because these are NOT Arab yodels. Music was a one of the "Big Sins" to arabs for long centuries. (Please just check about of "Cat Stevens' religious conversion". Or ask I-S-IS and Tale-e-ban, if you dare!) Also geographically, Any Turkic country is not in the middle east. Middle east is technically, south of Mediterranean between north of Sub-saharan. Turks are not from the middle east and Turkic blood is not middle eastern and not mixed it. Phonetically Turkic Languages doesn't share similar intonations with Arabic or Persian. The "Azan" facts: Azan (the Muslim call to ritual prayer, typically made by a muezzin from the minaret of a mosque) is recited with "15 different makams" just in Turkic countries. Mid-east countries were under the domination of Ottoman Empire more than 400 years. I think 400 years was enough for learned some music from us. arabs used just "Hicaz", "rast" and a few makams in their songs and "azans". Over four hundred makams exist in Turkish music; however the vast majority of these are no longer in use today. Though its roots are in Central Asia, a unique and advanced level of makam music is apparent in Turkic music, which spread throughout the Mediterranean basin. Music was never denied in Turkic states for religion stuffs. Anyway, For "Know" and "Hello" (and maybe next songs...): These "melismas" and "riffs" cames from old antic Turkic tribes and than Seljuks, Ottomans... These technique named "makam" or "mugam" and it is so hard. Dimash has studied "makams" with his vocal teacher Marat Aitimov for years. Makams are one of them the Dimash's secret weapons. Thank you so much for your research and education for us and all the history of the people and places that seem so far from me here in Colorado USA. But through Dimash and his whole wide world of Dears we learn so much about each other. He unites us all, we are one big family of love and peace through him. He fills our hearts and our souls with peace and joy and hope, and he holds us in his heart, too. A heart so big and overflowing with love, we feel special and cared for and we care for each other. We have do much to learn and Dimash has reached out his hand and taken our hands and he pulls us up, up from our darkness, way up like the bird, so that we see our world more clearly, more beautifully from above! I will look for you and want to learn more. I am always in love with history, travel, friendships, music, art, cultures. Yes we are different: different cultures, different religions, different lands, different food, customs, beliefs...but still of one human mind, one human body, one human heart and a human soul of gold. More alike in the really important things like family, children, home and love. Big love! Thanks y'all Krista
Dimash is 6′ 3″, so to answer your question; a lot of power. There are quite a few performances he has done without a mic on UA-cam but you can really hear it then. :D
Dimash began his classical/Operatic vocal training and instrumental training at age 5, His fulltime training continued until age 25 and he is still staying in touch with his vocal coach as needed. He is Muslim, and the goat trills are actually a RIP chant. The Band A Studio who was accompanying him wrote the song. Dimash is from Kazakhstan and so is the band and Dimash wanted to bring them to light in other countries. They were in Russia in this performance. Dimash is also an athlete with a Red Belt in Taekwondo, is a swimmer, loves to play soccer. At the end when you see the bald man with a white shirt stand up and applaud...that man is the infamous Maestro Igor Krutoy. He is a composer abd this was the first time he had heard Dimash. He went back stage and offered Dimash anIgor d his father his services to work with Dimash. Igor was already worth 13 Billion dollars and he and Dimash have both made some money since then. Igor actually came out of a 25 year retirement to work with Dimash.
Can I say I am super impressed with your professional knowledge about mics and speakers and all of the other things that people who doesn't have music as a profession won't notice. I hope you keep mentioning things like that you notice in the future too.
Recomendaciones, Stranger, Olímpico, Ikanaide, Golden, Guerra y Paz, Screaming, Ok, Your love, SOS, Mademoiselle Hyde, Adagio, su cover de Show must go on, Hello, Samaltau, Daybreak, Ave Marìa y mucho, mucho más. Todo su trabajo, cada interpretación es como una obra de arte, con muchas dinámicas, todos los registros vocales, no se cansarán y querrán más de Dimash, jaja, en serio. Pura vida 🇨🇷❤️🇰🇿
Thank you for this reaction! This is the first time I’m seeing you. I hope you react to more of Dimash’s videos! Dimash is a multi instrumentalist who has sang in 14 different languages (as of last count). I’ve declared him to be The Grandmaster of Vocal Acrobatics!!! Enjoy the journey!!! 😍😍😍😍😍 #DEAR4DIMASH4LIFE
No one can match Dimash when it comes to singing on diverse keys in one song.He has done this effortlessly as he keeps practicing and improving his performance each and every day.Bravo..!!Thank you for your reaction.Greeting from Bangkok,Thailand.
Great reaction! Dimash is always amazing and every performance, you'll hear something new from him. Just when you think you've seen his whole bag of tricks, he pulls something else out of the bag. For a future reaction to Dimash, I'd love to see your reaction to "Olimpico." ua-cam.com/video/dkPS6t84qg4/v-deo.html It was written by the famous Russian composer, Igor Krutoy, who basically came out of retirement to write for Dimash's voice. The song was written for Dimash to sing at the opening of the Second European Games, is in Italian, and features Dimash as Zeus instructing the athletes (and us) to go out, be powerful, and know that you're stronger than any difficulties you might face. It showcases a ton of Dimash's lower register in a more operatic mode than you've seen so far and also has some CRAZY high notes. Definitely another song where, if you or Dave were blindfolded, you'd think it was two singers. "Stranger" is another great song that I think will blow you away and is a much more recent song from Dimash, showing you what he's doing with his voice lately. Spoiler: He's improving. The only problem with "Stranger" is that video reactions to it are getting blocked a lot but people are avoiding the blocks by dimming the video, making it semi-transparent, and/or putting text over the top of it. Even if you have to jump through a weird hoop to get that one up on the channel, it's definitely worth a reaction. Dimash is next level on that one. Two older songs of Dimash's that you might really enjoy: (1) His performance of "Adagio" on that same Chinese show where you saw him sing "SOS." That performance is the definition of a singer "leaving it all on the stage." And (2) the music video for "Across Endless Dimensions," a song he recorded for the soundtrack to an Italian sci-fi movie a couple of years ago. Both songs are in English and both are awesome in their own ways. Finally, since you and Dave were intrigued by the Middle Eastern sounding middle bit of "Sinful Passion," I think you'd really love Dimash's cover of Lionel Richie's song "Hello." He only performed it once (afaik) and it's pretty spectacular. The year after he was on that Chinese show, "Singer," and had become a superstar, he came back as a guest of the show and sang "Hello" as a thank you to his Chinese fans who'd basically launched his career. He starts the song out pretty straight (though a little more emotional because, y'know, Dimash) and with a slight ethnic flavor to the instrumentation but then takes a hard left turn and just straight-up transcends. What he does with his voice on that one is legit insane. Anyway, wherever you go next with these reactions, I'm looking forward to it! I always love seeing people who actually understand music, technique, and production discovering Dimash and journeying down the rabbit hole because you really understand WHY what he's doing is so next-level in addition to just being blown away like other, less musical reactors. Enjoy!
Great reaction, thanks. You picked up much I've not seem others comment on. Could you give your opinions on his performance of Ikanaide form his home studio for the last Tokyo Jazz Festival. I have been interested in what some others have said (much debate on the microphone and whether it is actually live) and think you would have great insight on the video. It is said to be live, a condition of the festival, and apparently two camara men from Japan came to film it but I have only heard this, but some do dispute it. Many thanks, subbed for more Dimash 💞 🦌
He doesn't sing in any particular genre. In fact he says he is 'cross-genre' so as well as singing anything he wants he also mixes the singing techiniques from multiple genres in the same song. You can hear this in the first song SOS that he sang in The Singer (your first reaction). There were techniques from pop, opera and metal in that as well as baritone, tenor and lyric soprano voices (with totally smooth transitions) and he went into the whistle register too. He plays with the volume, texture and colour all the way through to tell the story with a lot of emotion. Here he shows the breathy voice, opera, pop, runs and riffs, and oriental melismas, ending on a 23 second belt with riffs in it and a crescendo and decrescendo, all in a single breath. Simply stunning.
Guys!…….THANKS for your reactions to Dimash!!!!…….. Sinful Passion. Sept 2018 performance at Sochi Russia. Dimash Begin A1 Vocal fry, then C2 lowest note, A#5 highest note chest & mixed voice, C6 highest note in head voice (falsetto) The vocalize is E6 highest note vocalized and whistle, air flow control 24 seconds this is a 6 octaves song ( A1 to C6)……Amazing!...saludos desde México…..❤️👏🏻🇲🇽🥰🇰🇿
His absolute powerful and unshakable presence on stage, compared by some to a god of music, sometimes to a prince or king, the energy he absorbs from the Universe, then how he anchors himself to the Earth, his connection with the Divinity, all at a place, it gives him the strength and confidence to "command the audience, to order the orchestra, to order the song", so that everything comes out the way he wants and how Dimash feels, that is unique. All these qualities are only at Dimash, absolutely. The goosebumps and hypnosis induced by Dimash are the characteristics of his concerts and appearance on stage, which are shaped by his endless beauty, sometimes translucent, sometimes sensual, sometimes angelic !!! Dimash is storm, thunder, lightning, sun, rain, smile, but also love and last but not least he is our hope and our daily light, he is our spiritual food when you put your head on the pillow and start dreaming like tomorrow it's a day… !!!!! Dimash has God's kiss on his heart!!!!
@@leotimtom6637 Is that your problem? Who cares??? He is the best artist in the galaxy. Recognized all over the planet!!! But there are also many envious!!! We're not interested. Dimash is Dimash. He has no similarity, he has no equal on the planet! The tops are null. We're not interested.
You'll see the same percussionist (triangle) in some later Dimash songs. He really likes to plan the percussion on his songs and I think he really liked A-Studio's percussion group, so he kinda steals them now and then. Hey, everyone can use some more high end gigs, right?
Great comments and insights , you two. Really enjoyed your reaction to Dimash. Promise to subscribe if you do more Dimash, please. Btw, there a total of 13 performances from the Chinese show The Singer 2017. Dimash was 22 at that time and a total unknown in China . Would really you at least check out a few of them so you can appreciate how much he has improved. Gloria Wu's YT channel has most of them with English subtitles and important back stories. Enjoy! 💞
I love Dimash, his voice, his ranges, his songs, I've been following him for many years, but please could you speak a little slower, love from Chile. 😉😋

The show must go on,Love is like a dream, Adagio, most important Daybreak, based on a true tragedy in China.Be sure to know the story and subtitled in English. It is told through the eyes of the only survivor. A little boy.
You enjoyed the Super high note during the ending run, wondering if it had a lot of volume. I suspect not, because he was holding back for the rest of the 23 seconds of that run; all one breath. Did you catch it?
He did not win I am a Singer 2017, probably because he is not Chinese; he was runner up. They changed the rules the next year and Brit singer Jessie J won. However, unofficially, Dimash was a winner, in that he became an overnight sensation in China after the first episode aired on TV and, of course, the ripples have spread that fame worldwide. This announcer is a trifle overexuberant. After this performance, the man in the white shirt standing ovation in front row, is Russian composer, impressario, billionaire, who is reputed to have then come out of retirement to compose for and collaborate with Dimash, a very close friendship and providing a number of impressive and beautiful works and performances.
Hello, thank you. I really like it when reactors invite guests to share Dimash with those who haven't had the opportunity to discover him yet. Please keep sharing and continue your journey discovering Dimashes multiple talents.

Hope you're both well.
Thank you for reaction, guys! Please, Dimash " Stranger " , Across Endless Dimensions or Ave Maria

An epitome:

ua-cam.com/video/LcNgWXgyM88/v-deo.html
Some of the Dears says "Joqtaw" for this song's voice style, but I don't agree with them.
"Joqtaw" is just a name for recited laments and poems for dead people by Kazakh women.

This link is an Arab man's Sinfull Passion reaction:
ua-cam.com/video/70VeMogTyEI/v-deo.html
Basic and clean. Arab Man said never heard it like this thing, because these are NOT Arab yodels.
Music was a one of the "Big Sins" to arabs for long centuries. (Please just check about of "Cat Stevens' religious conversion". Or ask I-S-IS and Tale-e-ban, if you dare!)
Also geographically, Any Turkic country is not in the middle east.

Very interesting 👍🏻
Big love!
Thanks y'all

Welcome to Dimashland!!!
Dimash began his classical/Operatic vocal training and instrumental training at age 5,
His fulltime training continued until age 25 and he is still staying in touch with his vocal coach as needed.

The middle eastern "melisma" sound was in honor of a middle eastern friend who had passed away.. A gesture of love.
I think it was for a former A studio band member who had died.

Recomendaciones, Stranger, Olímpico, Ikanaide, Golden, Guerra y Paz, Screaming, Ok, Your love, SOS, Mademoiselle Hyde, Adagio, su cover de Show must go on, Hello, Samaltau, Daybreak, Ave Marìa y mucho, mucho más. Todo su trabajo, cada interpretación es como una obra de arte, con muchas dinámicas, todos los registros vocales, no se cansarán y querrán más de Dimash, jaja, en serio. Pura vida 🇨🇷❤️🇰🇿

Many thanks, subbed for more Dimash

Dimash-Ave Maria 🔥 new new
That last run that blew your mind was 24 seconds without taking a breath. That's otherworldly.
Dimash✨❤️✨
His range is 6 octaves and 3 notes.
Quite a guy💕

Dimash is a 👽.

Very dry voice, and his melodies are so weak, very forgettable, reminds me of empty Soviet estrada. Music of kolhozniks.
