i just bought one of these pedals! Bergantino is soooo badass. i also put the stainless strings on my dingwall. it really makes that nasal grindy crunchy sound possible. tone chaser's dream tool

It sounds almost like there is a clean signal and a distorted signal during the distortion part. Do you know if he recorded separate tracks and then blended them or if this was one track of bass? Either way it has me wanting a Dingwall and a Super Pre!
Hey! Thanks for the kind words. This was litrally just the pre with the settings shown on screen, so a single track and no tracking / anything extra. The pedal is fantastic at keeping the low end intact and I didn't really have to do much to adjust it to sound to my taste. Hope that helps!

@@D20band Oh yeah good point! The bass pre was active in this. So the whole chain was: Dingwall ABII 5 (with Stainless Steel strings) with glockenklang preamp activated (totally flat EQ) within the bass > Bergantino Super Pre with settings shown > Logic Pro with no other processing. @@hilltide8577 I thought of more questions. Do you think it is possible to get close to your tone if I bought a Combustion with pao ferro board and put a Glockenklang pre in it? I know the super pre plays into it also but just wanted to hear your opinion? Also thank you so much for answering my questions! Super awesome of you!
@@D20band I honestly this you could get pretty close! The pre-amp clarity really does a lot to help too±
