I'm not a fan of U2 myself, but I know a few songs from them at least. After a quick google search, The U2 setlist at the sphere includes "Where the Streets Have No Name," "With or Without You," and "Beautiful Day." Have these guys ever listened to U2?

What concert were you guys at? I was there Wed night. They played Mysterious Ways (it's allright), they played Vertigo (hello, hello). Several hits any minor U2 fan would know. The fact they performed without overdoing the sphere experience was brilliant. I have no problem saying they sucked if they sucked, but Bono and the band were great. Fantastic show. Oh, and, go Niners!

@@markpelzer725 To reiterate what so many others have posted, they played the greats, including note perfect renditions of the two songs these nincompoops hummed and said U2 didn't play (Mysterious Ways and Vertigo). The record the band performed in its entirety, Achtung Baby, sold 18 million copies. I was at the last show at the Sphere, and it was incredible. It's OK to not like a concert. Just make sure you pay attention at the concert and aren't baked to hell before a bash fest. It wouldn't be more egregious if someone roasted Jimi Hendrix's Woodstock '69 set because he didn't play his version of the Star-Spangled Banner.
I feel like a metal show at the sphere would be insane.

I attended - they did, indeed, play those songs - and sounded great too. It’s almost like these guys have no clue what they’re talking about.
Tickets also were nowhere near 60k. PMS probably had ESPN pay for the tickets anyway. U2 publicly said the Sphere shows were mostly playing an album but they still played a bunch of hits, inc the hits PMS incorrectly said they didn’t play.
Stick to ball sports. They don't know what they’re talking about, but when you're wasted/high and not aware what song are actually played then...
FAKE NEWS! You guys must have been WASTED! The two songs you referenced in this clip (It's alright, it's alright, it's alright) were in fact played (Mysterious Ways was the 4th song of the night). And the "Hello hello song" was Vertigo, the 20th song of the night. Yes, there were some deep cuts played much to the joy of old school U2 fans, but if you don't know the other hits they played, and have been playing every night at the Sphere (With or Without You, One, Where the Streets Have No Name, just to name a few) then you've either had too many concussions or you've been living under a rock for the last 40 years.

I've seen that show 2x, it was AMAZING. Mysterious Ways, One, All I Want is You, Desire, Elevation, Vertigo (the song that starts with Hello Hello) With or Without, Where the Streets Have No name, and Beautiful Day. Those were ALL singles for the band. Come on guys you were high and or drunk if you didn't know the songs. I spent 267 and I was 10 feet from the band it was an amazing experience both times.

I totally enjoy your show. Just some context, U2's Sphere show was always billed as emphasizing the music from their Achtung Baby album from the early 1990s, so they play the entire songlist from that album, in addition to some other popular songs and just a few that may not be as well-known if you are a more mainstream fan of theirs. I don't mean that as an insult, simply sharing that the folks I know who have been fans from the early 1980s to present have all said the show was incredible.

1. The show is titled "U2:UV Achtung Baby" so the setlist reflects accordingly. Mysterious Ways (aka it's alright) was the 4th song of the show
2. The hits outside of '88-'91 were in the 6-song "encore". Curiosity made me look it up, and U2 has only 6 songs that have charted the Billboard Hot 100 for 20+ weeks... 5 of those were in the "encore" and the only other song in the encore was their new single.

I just read the set list. The songs they played are "One", "Mysterious Ways", "Desire", "Where the Streets Have no names" , "With or Without You" and Beautiful Day". If you don't know these songs you have no business being at a U2 Show
Every single setlist from this residency plays the 3 massive hits from Achtung Baby (and possible their best song One) plus 7-8 songs anyone who had a radio from 1980-present would know.

The setlist was full of their biggest hits. One, Streets have no name, with or without you, Vertigo, Mysterious Ways, Even better than the real thing. You didn't have to be a huge fan, they played the hits.

I guess they don't understand the concept of playing an entire album tribute ("Achtung Baby" and the Zoo TV era of U2 from the early 90's) and who doesn't know the song Mysterious Ways, With or Without You, Where the Streets Have No Name etc. I think they are simply saying that they are too young to know U2's most successful and critically acclaimed albums like the Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby. I guess they didn't know U2 until the ipod commercials and Vertigo.
Did they not stay the whole show? They say they didn't play Vertigo but it's in the setlist at the encore, after that it's followed by Streets Have no Name, With or Without You, Beautiful Day which are massive hits. It's still missing some heavy hitters like Pride, Sunday, Still Haven't Found but everybody knew that it was mostly an Achtung Baby tribute.
