    So important to have a target, flight plan and release towards it! For me it makes about a 30m difference in distance - but equally important - I seem to get closer to my target whenever I focus and trust my brain!

    Release, that is so harmonious with our physiology with out any friction. You bet, it can go on and on. Thank you.

      Yes, remove all resistance and control in the swing and get PREDICTABILITY which means you get REAL CONTROL!

    After a couple of decades of research I've come to the realisation that the real 'wisdom in golf ' is that the ball isn't the target.The difficult part is getting your sub conscious mind to agree

      Intention moves the body to make the moves to send the ball to the target

    I have been hitting many golfballs lately and I have stumbled upon something interesting. I gripped down on my club until the thumb pad of the trail hand was on the shaft and the index finger hooked along side of the shaft. I was amazed on how this improved ball contact and repeatability. This not only worked for full shots but it improved my chipping and pitching. This increased feel due to the contact of skin with the steel shaft definitely improved my ball striking. This also made the release feel more prominent . It would be nice if yinz guys experimented with this and did a video on your thoughts. Nice peachy shoes Mu. Your pivot looks great.
    Thank yinz

    Another great video, Shawn, I can only say that your method works! Front 9 holes on Sunday in 36, just one above par gross, best ever! A bit worse on the back 9, but net par and a second tournament win this season !!! But most importantly, I haven't had such fun playing for a long time! I can only make a low bow :). Your remark about holding to the handle is very important, I still sometimes "let it go", do you have any advice on this? And finally what about the size of the grip, is it worth going below the standard with small hands?

    • @golflessons
      @golflessons  2 роки тому

      Great comment and questions Jaroslaw! And yes, it can be very beneficial to get smaller grips if the hold is more solid! Try a women’s tour velvet on one of your clubs and see if the grip feels more solid!

    Shawn Hi my name is Don and I have trouble feeling the weight of club and arms. I have much improved in my ball striking going from a 14 to 12 hdcp. However I feel I am still pulling down and guiding the club. Also club position at the top seems to be not as upright as yours. Mu and Sav seem to be flatter at the top. Is this a personal position and no problem with the downswing? Any help will be appreciated. Keep up your good work and what you promote is gaining with other teachers out there. You are ahead of all of them. Thanks Don

      yes, the Apex 21 from 4 to 7 and Apex Pro from 8 to Gap wedge. Such a solid set and the gapping is so spot on!

    Does it mean I should play as a lefter, as my right hand is very strong and left arm is weak from the muscles stand point?

    • @golflessons
      @golflessons  2 роки тому

      not necessarily; I can break par from both sides and power is about the same from both sides. Just a different feel. The most determining factor in my findings for choosing the proper side for beginner or golfers doing a remodel, is to see which side they hit best in tennis; backhand or forehand.

    You pause at the top Shawn, I am trying to slow my back swing down to avoid rushing the whole swing. You still hit it far so can I do the same or will I need to change something?

    Is the release a side arm throw ?

  • @PC-pd7hl
    @PC-pd7hl 2 роки тому +1

    Mr Clement, great lessons. Just a small detail - the release exercise with trail hand only is not quite the same as when both hands are on the grip. This is because the 'fulcrum' of the club is at the base of the lead hand, and therefore cannot also be at the base of the trail hand (like when swinging trail hand only). It's similar to the other double handed sports, but the position of the fulcrum can vary depending on which sport. Is that correct?

      best to stay out of the THEORIES and work with what we are WIRED to do with our anatomy out of pure self preservation. In our premium channel, we have the “lead hand release”, then the “trail hand release” and then we do together with “release fine tuning” and my favourite, “snap release polish”. All these relate to all disciplines and sports with 1 and 2 hand delivery actions.
