  • I forgot to mention BG has a theme park called Beech Bend, the world's largest cave Mammoth Cave is close by. Lost River Cave is located in BG and is a cave that is mostly water. It allows boat tours. Also I forgot to mention the Aquatics Park which is simply amazing. The city is studying building a ice rink and indoor tennis facilities as well.
    Smith Grove allows you to be 14 miles away from BG and if you want large amounts of land and to be away from someone then this city of 800 to 900 people is for you. As of this time the city doesnt even have a stop light, but there is rumor that will be changing soon.

    Great video Sir. I lived in B.G. from 1972 until 1992. I went to Bowling Green city schools 2nd grade - 10th grade. After my sophomore year I transfered to the now defunct private school Potter Christian. I graduated from Potter in 1983. I grew up in Springhill subdivision off Russellville Rd.! In late 1983 a few months after I graduated from high school my folks sold our house and moved to Louisville. I decided to stay in B.G. and attend WKU. From the end of 1983 until around the end 1992 I lived in various places in town. I have lived in PFT,13th and college s.t. the Castle ,Collegeview drive,Rockcreek apartments and a few other places. I moved to Danville K.y. at the end of 1992 because of a job opportunity. I have missed living in Bowling Green since the day I left. I do get back home 4 or 5 times a year. Hopefully one day I can live there again. Once again thanks for the video. Merry Christmas...

      Awesome story. You know BG is one of those cities that you can move away from, but still constantly think about it. I haven't lived there is 20 years now, but still read the newspaper online everyday. I still keep up with the city and like you I go back every now and then to visit family. I didn't appreciate the city much when I was growing up, but now I see the value of the city and miss it. Merry Christmas to you as well and thank you for watching!

    I'm in the process of relocating from Marietta, GA to Kentucky. Your video has made me take a second look at the possibility of moving to Bowling Green instead of some of the larger cities. Also like the fact it's also close to Nashville, TN.

      Bowling Green is a really great city. Not big or even medium sized, bust just under medium sized. You have all the things there that you will need, minus air service. For that Nashville is not too far away.

    I like how they r trying to get downtown developed more. I think a city’s downtown should be the biggest. I hate going on Campbell lane or Scott’sville road because the traffic is so bad but everything is there so you have to go

    • @HershNoeieBlasianLife
      @HershNoeieBlasianLife  3 роки тому +2

      Yes most things are on Scottsville Rd, and the problem is other roads leading out from there are getting bad too. Campbell Lane, use to be a basic road, now look at it. Nashville Road was not that busy. IDK how it was when the old mall was active, but when I was in college it wasn't that bad. Now that many businesses are trying to get as close as they can to Scottsville Road, that section of town is bad with traffic. It is good that downtown is starting to beef up.
