I'm 65 years old Japanese. To be honest, I don't like the Japanese maid cafe subculture or idol groups that wear uniforms and sing and dance in groups. Moreover, for a long time, I wasn't as enthusiastic about rock music as I was younger.
However, after discovering two of their songs in 2015, I couldn't help but be curious about them. In 2017, I started buying all of their albums and DVD/Br, and in 2018, I joined a paid fan club for the first time in my life. Of course, it's a Band-Maid fan club.
Their hard work, passion, and diversity consistently produce quality music. And I don't know any band that expresses their love and appreciation for their fans through music.
I can't help but love their music, their talent, and their humble attitude.

Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 58 years on this planet. They don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They can make you headbang, they can make you pogo, they can make you cry like a baby. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and world class musicians to boot. They are currently into their 11th year with the original line up.
Btw, Miku the rhythm guitarist (red rose) formed the band. She had the idea of Band-Maid after working as a maid in Japanese maid cafe's. Her idea is a concept called "The Gap" - that is what you see (cute maids) is NOT what you get (Hard Rock/Punk/Metal). They take the maid café concept literally. They call their concerts "servings" and their fans "Masters and Princesses". Oh, and Miku is an 810 year old small pigeon. Welcome to the pigeon hole Po!

This video was taped on Feb 14, 2020. It was literally their last concert before the COVID shutdowns hit Japan. From the same show, the BAND-MAID channel also has "Freedom", a less heavy song that features a proper drum solo and the band is being pretty playful and happy.
For more recent stuff, they celebrated their 10th anniversary last year with a tour than ended at Yokohama Arena in November. From that show, "Hate?" and "Don't You Tell ME" both feature the lead guitar and the bass trading solos.
They do a wide range of styles including soft ballady songs, but plenty of fierce rockers. Basically, they are killer live, and pretty much anything on their official channel is going to be worthwhile.

That smile. I never tire of seeing that smile when someone watches Band-Maid for the first time.
To answer some of your questions: Band-Maid has been around for almost 11 years now. They have about 7 albums and an EP. Yes, they have several songs that have been used in anime including: Shambles, Glory, Different, and Sense. Their song "Unleash!!!!!" was done in an anime style.
I can tell you're a fan of Akane's drumming so while the norm would be to recommend "Hate" which is insanely good for you I would suggest "Freedom" as your next song. And whenever you do a Band-Maid song always choose the live version.
And finally, congrats on hearing your favorite band for the first time. Welcome down the pigeon hole.

"Domination" starts Band-Maid's set list 9 times out of 10. It's how they get warmed up. They do 2 hour shows and maintain this energy level beginning to end. The members have a variety of tastes in rock music and it shows in the variety of songs they compose. Each band member possesses a unique skillset and they set stretch goals for themselves; you'll be hard pressed to find a harder working band. They formed in 2013, have not changed line-up, and recently completed their Tenth Anniversary Tour. They have a deep catalog of music, mostly self composed, that incorporates a variety of styles into their hard-rock core style. Punk, Prog, classic, rap, jazz, fusion... a little bit of everything gets blended into a Band-Maid song and it all works.
Unlike many bands, Band-Maid has not faded out after a few albums, they get better with each new release. Producers of Anime have had Band-Maid compose theme music: "Sense", "Different", "Glory"
Songs That I'll point out are:
    Puzzle
    Hate?
    Moratorium
    Rinne
    From Now On
    Daydreaming
    Wonderland
    About Us
    Onset
    Giovanni
    YOLO
...they have an incredibly large and deep catalog, all of it good. Pick random songs from their UA-cam channel. You can't go wrong.

Actually all us fans don't care about the Maid outfits either! Every artist starting out needs something to get them noticed, this happened to be the band founders idea. (Miku, the rhythm guitarist, used to work in a Japanese Maid Cafe.)
There are a few videos with different outfits (acoustic performances, and their latest song, a collab with Mike Einziger from Incubus), but they feel that the maid outfits are their "battle armor" for performing.
Any other song from their official channel would be great - one of my favorites is Blooming.

    • @raybl9295
      @raybl9295 4 місяці тому +2

The battle armor is a very purposeful thing IMO. That seems more preferential among the Japanese artists as the see themselves as performers and their outfits give them a cohesive identity for the band. These young ladies can focus on their performances without the distraction of worrying about what they should look each performance. I’m not particular about their maid look myself but this has given a starting focus.and identity.

  • @jeffersoncosgrove1910
    @jeffersoncosgrove1910 4 місяці тому +4

Here's the thing about the outfits. It's not about being a sexy maid, they're here to serve YOU. The outfit is part and parcel to their attitude. Plus the Japanese love uniforms. Saw these ladies in Atlanta a year ago and they killed it.

Welcome to Band Maid, the best rock band today (imo of course)
A great thing about this band is that you don’t have to care about the maid outfits. They kill it as musicians, they write fantastically catchy yet complex songs that can be listened to over and over again and you can discover new things about it. The Maid stuff is fun and you can get into it or just listen to awesome music.

BAND-MAID fans are quick to reply 😁
They all want you to see their favorite song, and I am not different. BAND-MAID have 100+ good songs though. And almost all are fantastic.
Its not an exaggeration. I have heard maybe one or two I do not care for. They are fantastic song writers.
You want heavier stuff, that limits it a bit though. NOTE - there will be no growling or screaming. And most is more rock than metal.
They have some instrumentals that are extra heavy.
    * From now on (Music Video)
    * Onset (Live)
    * Without holding back (Music Video, can be hard to find, its on a Bluray)
    Here are som hard stuff
    * Hate? (Like Domination, but the solos are longer and harder and cooler, the text is fire!)
    * Black Hole (this one is difficult, it is very proggy and hard. Needs concentration when listening.
It comes as package with to songs live (Manners and Black Hole) Manners is one of my favorites, it is so funky and it is 80% bass. Not hard though.

    • @RightManWrongPlace
      @RightManWrongPlace  4 місяці тому

I'm not strictly a fan of heavier stuff! Probably an expectation issue on my part more than anything.

In the case of Band-Maid, the costumes, among other meanings, are a connection to their origins. Maid cafes are a big tourist attraction in Japan, and the band's founder Miku (rhythm guitar, red rose) was working in a maid cafe when she came up with the idea for the band. Also, in Japan, the visual element of an artist is almost as important as the musical element. It is a cultural thing. There's the visual kei movement to consider, among others. Hanabie has their "harajukucore" image. LOVEBITES has their white-gowned Greek goddess aesthetic. Fate Gear has their steampunk vibe. BABYMETAL of course has their old goth lolita look and their more modern sci-fi armor look. Band-Maid calls their thing "the gap," which is the stark contrast between how they look and how they sound. None of these things are cheap gimmicks, because they all have the musical chops to back it up, and it is of cultural importance to them. It's not like bands like KISS that need strange costumes to make up for lack of musical skills. Top-notch musicianship is the hallmark of the Japanese rock and metal scene.

Have fun! :)

There's nothing about this band that doesn't have a purpose. Other bands may have gimmicks, this isn't one of them. In 2013 Miku (red rose) Band founder, Lyrics, 2nd guitar, Backing vocals, worked in a maid cafe in Tokyo but wanted to form a band to play "cool" rock music but keeping the maid costumes to make a contrast (the Gap) with the music. During the first few months the band members were found on the internet or by word of mouth. During the the first year or two Miku learned to play the guitar- she didn't play before, but was taught by Kanami, the lead guitarist who wanted to free herself from the rhythm playing to concentrate of the lead work. 11 years and around 140 songs later here we are. Thanks for reacting. This is a truly great band with loving fans (Madiacs) and who have a great respect for the band members.

Welcome, RMWP. You are embarking on (along with many others - over 200 million YT views plus over 40 million reactor plays!) an awesome, progressive, hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:

BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Prog, Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Jazz, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Joy of Playing, Consistency (130+ songs), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destined for mega-stardom.
Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off-the-rails spectacular!
Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 70 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: ua-cam.com/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/v-deo.html Their songs from albums Unleash, Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, Just Bring It, Brand New Maid, and New Beginning drive even more - Hate?, Shambles, Influencer, Warning, No God, Different, Black Hole, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Don’t You Tell Me, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on.
But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, Bestie, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, At The Drop Of A Hat, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or progressive like No God, Giovanni, and Black Hole… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like From Now On, Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts… or their many acoustic versions like Catharsis and Sayonakidori... and last but not least, their Anime hits (AniMaid) like Sense, Glory and Unleash!!!!! (from their own Anime MV (series?)): ua-cam.com/video/7LB_EPS48HE/v-deo.html)
And many songs are represented with over 50 well produced music videos. ua-cam.com/users/BANDMAID
Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE audience & online OKYUJI concerts:
 2023 Yokohama 10th Year Anniversary Concert “Endless Story” ua-cam.com/video/Za1y-RRVd70/v-deo.html

 Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and other full concerts are on bandmaidprime.tokyo, bili, and official Band-Maid’s DVD/BD/CD.
And some of the better quality fan videos are excellent. Here’s two of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at an intimate venue:
 Shot by Pat McKee from their 2023 US tour concert in Detroit: ua-cam.com/video/DgxU-MVjta0/v-deo.html
     See the Maids 2023 Rockville Festival’s short-set perfection performance: ua-cam.com/video/vjZkNeoGmhc/v-deo.html
If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, live streams, CD, DVD/BD & merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo
Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Don’t Let Me Down, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

    Band-Maid Members:
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “StarQueen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 30 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen!
Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 32 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!!
Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 32 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more!
Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 33 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party!
MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 31 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note... uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!
Maidiacs (Maid-e-acts) - Band-Maid’s crazed yet supportive, knowledgeable and loyal Super Fans.

You were told wrong about Band-Maid being "Metal"......"Hard Rock" is more like it. Band-Maid Just celebrated ten years together as a band with the same members.....that'll tell you a lot right there. They can bring a tear to your eye with their ballads then turn around and melt your face with their hard rock/progressive style. These girls are for real..... check out "From Now On" instrumental and see more of their talent with just four members.......you will NOT be disappointed.

RIGHT MAN: You fought it during the whole video, but you came around eventually - like we all did! This band is SPECIAL. It might take three or four songs to convince you, but if you like great rock and roll music, you’ll come to recognize it. BAND-MAID is…inevitable. (See what I did there, Thanos?)
They have a few metal songs, but they consider themselves primarily hard rock. But BAND-MAID is its own genre: Hard rock, metal, blues, jazz, pop, punk…you name it.
You like it heavier? Try Rinne, Onset, or “from now on.” Or Black Hole.
Something bluesy with lots of bass? MANNERS (MV)
Hard rock? DICE, SHAMBLES, or WARNING.
Something fun, light, and poppy? Choose CHOOSE ME.
    More BAND-MAID please!

Slipknot masks are silly, I agree. But even Shawn Crahan made sure to get a photo with Band Maid at Rockville last year.
And so did Jimmy Page, asking for a picture with Akane, Band Maid’s drummer, early in her career.
Mike Einziger of Incubus became so enamored by our Maids that he produced a one-off side project single with them recently.
Band Maid fans are from all over the world and include many fellow artists and producers. There’s a fun reason for their battle armor, and it adds to the fun experience of their shows. They aren’t pretending; they are sincerely nice people 😊
Thank you for taking time to check them out! And thanks for reading this far. I am the premier expert in personal Band Maid recommendations in the entire world 🌎 (probably) Please ignore requests to react to “Hate” at Yokohama Arena. Now is not the time.
For your second serving, you deserve something from their earlier days. This will help you see how they have developed their sound and songwriting.
“The non-fiction days,” official music video. It will take at least five songs to “set the hook” so to speak.

Okay, names, pronunciation, nicknames, and roles, in order that they joined the band.
Miku Kobato - mee-koo - Kuruppo, the Little Pigeon, the Little Engine Who Will - band founder, backing (and occasionally lead) vocals, rhythm guitar, principal lyricist, tireless Spokespigeon and PR machine. Wielder of weapons grade cuteness. Poker shark and horse racing fanatic. So determined to see her band succeed that she fired herself as lead singer (she decided her voice wasn't strong enough for hard rock), then went looking for a replacement. Learned to play guitar after the band was formed. Definitely eccentric, possibly insane.
Kanami Tono - kah-nah-mee - Kanamincho or just Mincho - lead guitar, keyboards, principal composer and arranger. On stage, she's a savant mad riffer with a room temperature IQ and a huge crush on Saiki. In reality, she's a genius, and not just musically- she has a degree in economics with honors. A sweet, motherly woman who turns into a beast when you hand her a guitar.
Akane Hirose - ah-kah-neh - A-chan, the Gorilla - drums, sequencing, snacks, the leader the band doesn't have. What you see is what you get- a cheerful jock with a huge appetite who burns off the calories murdering her drums. Completely unflappable. Frequently snacks between songs. Has been known to sign her banana peels and throw them to the audience.
MISA - mee-sah - the Barefoot Assassin, MISA MISA MISA! - bass, booze, occasional wet work. Usually stone faced. Barely acknowledges the audience's existence. Always has a beer or a bottle of Jim Beam on her Orange amp. Originally, these were ways of coping with stage fright. These days, that's just how the assassin rolls.
Saiki Atsumi - sah-ee-kee (but Psyche is close enough) - the Ice Queen, Sensei, Sai-chan - lead vocals, some lyrics, the "We're done" girl. Fashionista and train nerd. Regards her band mates, especially Kanami and Miku, with bemused exasperation. In total command on stage; hides behind Miku off stage (she's actually kind of shy).

I wouldn't get too caught up in what they wear, especially as only one band member wears a maid outfit now - and that's Miku, the rhythm guitarist and band founder, who was working in a maid cafe when she first began thinking abut having a Rock band. DOMINATION live was the 22nd song of their 23 song set and begins with a segue that is the dying away of the last note of the previous song PLAY. At 5:35 - MISA, the bassist, Kanami the lead guitarist and composer, and Miku the rhythm guitarist and founder of the band, are playing Hengao - "strange faces" - with Akane the drummer, which is making funny faces to try and put someone off. Akane, of course, laughs along while not missing a beat. It shows the ladies' confidence in each others' abilities that they can fool around like this while all of them slam out note-perfect Rock at full tilt. At 6:24 - MISA the bassist is holding her plectrum in her curled finger so she can produce it and switch from slapping to picking in half a nanosecond! At 7:00 - Akane the drummer hitting two separate beats on her double kick pedals while simultaneously continuing the song melody on her snare, toms and cymbal. At 8:05 - a brief glimpse of Kanami laying down one sweet rolling chord pattern - pure class. THE best live Rock band on Earth. And beyond.

A thing about the maid outfits, RMWP: as Fans and Maidiacs know, Miku -- the 2nd guitarist, lyricist, founder and who worked at a maid cafe -- wanted to show that everyday working "Kawaii" girls dressed as maids in high heels while having fun and smiling could rock as hard as any guy band sweating it up in their hip, poor tortured artists "outfits"... and by showing that contrast (the Gap), it would generate interest, which it so successfully has done! It also represents Woman Power (Equality), which is an important theme with the Maids.
Now they show up as Maids for all band business and interviews, etc. and have created a long-lasting, unmistakable, visual band brand. Very cleaver, Miku. Your diabolical plan for world domination is working, Po! Of course, none of this would work if their music and stage performance wasn't at such a remarkably high level. Band-Maid is considered by many of their fans and Maidiacs to be the best hard rock band in the world - maid outfits and all!

So, you hinted in your video that you wanted harder stuff. OK, how nice. There are four all female metal/rock bands that usually reactors react to as a package. BAND-MAID is the rock group and the three other are metal. Here comes some information on the other three bands.
Lovebites - is heavy metal or speed metal or trash metal that also play some ballads and stuff and classical music. Their main feature is the two guitarists that probably is the finest heavy metal duo guitarists on the planet right now together with a fantastic drummer. They also have a new bassist that is very good and she is featured now and then, but not as much as the BAND-MAID bassist MISA that really is a lead bassist. The singer is kind of operatic, like Bruce Dickinson. No screaming. I really think you will love them. They are best live. Just like BAND-MAID they have 100+ good songs, almost no bad. They play in white dresses, but you do not care about that 🙃
My recommendation is that you start with the live version of "The Hammer of Wrath". Then maybe the music movie for "Shadowmaker", its oldish and they are younger, scary good solos. They have a very good cover of "Painkiller" by Judas Priest. I think the fastest they have made is "Soldiers stand solitarily", Its good that the drummer is nuclear powered for this one. There is actually a drum sound enhanced video for this one, it is sick.
Nemophila - both have very hard metal songs and more soft stuff. But all is metal(ish). The play seven string guitars and a five string bass and have one of Japans best drummers. Just like Lovebites, the guitarists is a very skilled duo that play lots of solos. They have live, studio live and music videos. All are good. They also have made lots of studio live (mainly) classic rock covers; the covers are very good; Some covers are harder. But, if you want really hard, they have made some originals. The singer sings with a clean raspy voice and screams.
My recommendation is that you start with new live version of "Zen" or "Oiran". They have a very heavy cover of "Master of puppets", its audio only.
Hanabie - a very young group. Not so many songs yet. But what they have is really fun. Its metal core, so growling is on the menu. And its done by a 4feet9 cute monster. They are making very fun music videos. Hard core fans wants you to look at live videos. But, for me, the videos is what is really fun.
My recommendation is that you start with the music video for "We love sweets". (This video has the highest surprise value. Most fun to see first reactors.)

It's not about the outfits. But you have to pay attention because of "the gap". The maid outfits were a necessity then to distinguish themselves. Cute but in your face rock music. If you don't get it then it'll be difficult to get into the band. It's not a shtick. It's a uniform and as the band members even define it now, their "battle armor".

the whole thing with the Battle Gear is it gets them noticed and in the crowded market standing out is a good thing the drumming is more in this one song than MOST other groups Albums they are Hard Rockish not really Metal and the Vocals fit PERFECTLY not a fan of the way you did not even notice the Bass Solo too interested in the Drums double kick.

Welcome to the BandMaid experience. The greatest proper rock and roll band of the 21st century. Here's some opinions and facts:
•Bass solos are more likely to happen than not
•Guitar solos are shorter, far shorter than you would like them to be
•Unless you are superhuman, you will not/ can not be able to pick up everything they're doing to make that song great on the first listen.
•Genre? Genres?? We don' need no stinkin" genre!
•You like a hard rocking crazy fast tune? Well how about it done as a slower acoustic version? They do that.
    •April Fools Day 2019
As a joke they recorded a redo of Secret my Lips with traditional instruments and with lyrics in a Kyoto dialect. MV is stunningly beautiful.
•The linchpin member of the band gets the least notice/praise. The Mighty Miku Kobato founder/lead singer steps back to make way for a new more hard rock vocalist. They want her to hold a guitar so she does and learns to play on the fly, performing all the while she's learning. So the person who willed the band into existence, who is the primary lyricist, the only member who sings and plays an instrument most of the time gets the least comments from reactors. Oh yeah she has her own signature model guitar from Zematis (after playing less than 10 yrs)
•There is no "I" in BANDMAID. Well ok there is one "I" but my point is the songs are written by BandMaid. Not just Kanami Tono. The highly innovative bass and drum lines are created by Akane and MISA. There are no George songs and John&Paul songs. There are only BandMaid songs.
•10 plus years with the same line up. Think about that.
•More hooks, riffs and motifs in many songs than most bands have on an album. Check it out. No hyperbole.
•Use of puns, wordplay using homophones between Japanese and English are not the exception. They are typical of Kobato's lyrics.
•Despite the fact that their LIVE videos are superior to the official studio MV"s the latter are excellent. Funny, graphic, innovative and stunningly beautiful works of art describe what you get with BandMaid's official MV's.
•As close to the Beatles in terms of unique persona of the members as any group since the Monkees. MISA is quiet and drinks. Akane is happy and eats, Miku is klutzy and CUTE, Kanami is an airhead who crushes on Saiki and Saiki was the Ice Queen. But the Ice Queen has thoroughly thawed. See Yokohama's Endless Story! Their image is carefully crafted or spontaneous or both.
•Many songs have catch phrases or singalong sections to engage the audience. Many songs are in English and Japanese. Most songs are full of joy as well.
•They're having a ball. They enjoy performing. They enjoy the fans. They enjoy each other.
•Make no mistake, this is not a regular band.

I also like their live video (studio live, during COVID) of Manners and Black Hole. Manners is a little more traditional in the grove rock, Black Hole is very hard and fast.

Haha I love your profile image. Sounds like a good trade to me!
I'll just suggest the most famous Protomen song: Light Up the Night. There's an official video, and while it's good, I would just do the audio version to start.
The thing to know about the Protomen is that their albums are concept albums and the story continues one right into the next. There are lyric videos that have additional story that is not sung. Enjoy! ua-cam.com/video/Cd1i--_QaR8/v-deo.htmlsi=XpnF_YZgrthCEICc

@@RightManWrongPlace So that Protomen song was centered around storytelling with a metal background. BAND-MAID sings mostly in Japanese, so storytelling would be a challenge. They are also mostly rock/hard-rock, the best I could suggest would be "from now on" which has no lyrics but would provide you with a guitar forward metal sound played at a extremely high level of musicianship. A closer match would be LOVEBITES Judgement Day. They are an all-female Japanese power-metal band that sings in English.
