Blender has an inbuilt Carver addon which can help with fast and simple booleans. It even has a depth option, when cut dependes on the cursor position. But be sure to be in orthographic mode while using it, so you won't get unexpected cuts.
Scene statistics is still up there in the right hand corner I believe. They just divided the overlays menu into general overlays, and mode specific overlays.
Very informative - I just switched from zbrush over to blender and I am missing one thing - the redo function (like redoing a stroke without me having to go over it manually) Do you know any way of doing this in blender? By the way I love your UI. Gotta check that one out

yeah and remesh was the same, I think the alpha it wasn't it got me all mixed up now.
