These ladies are well on their way. They toured the US last summer and just wrapped up a European tour. They sold out every show both tours. Their latest original release is "Fearless". But after that they released their homage to '70s band, Sanullim: "Reminiscence"....Beautiful tune!..........Blaze!
Just recently found this band myself. Only heard a couple songs so far, liking what I have heard. Need to check out more. Of course I styed for the "Blaze".
Rolling Quartz are a really good band. They are very entertaining and (in my opinion) also seriously good looking😍. Arem on the bass is smoking hot - I think I'm in love. Their song "Azalea" is one of my all time favourite songs from any band. It is also a really important song which metaphorically discusses the Japanese occupation of Korea immediatly prior to WW2. Although its sung in Korean, so that isn't obvious to non-Koreans.
3:40 They took their current form in August 2019, and finally _officially_ debuted at the end of 2020, but they'd been putting out content the whole time. This was filmed in June 2022, and yes, this was their first full live solo show; they'd been originally limited by Covid to online shows, and eventually they got some festival performances. 5:45 They _have_ been described as Iree (red hair) being lead guitar and Hyunjung (blonde/blue) as rhythm, but honestly, they pretty much just play whatever they feel like, and work it out between them. Rolling Quartz are very much in the tradition of hard rock more than metal, but they have a lot of influences from all over the place, and listen to K-pop (several of them are particularly big fans of Dreamcatcher, who they've also covered), punk (Crying Nut and No Brain spring to mind, who they're also friends with now), Japanese metal (I'm pretty sure Babymetal and Crossfaith have been cited as examples)... all sorts. Iree says that Oasis what what fist made her fall in love with music (I'm not a fan, but I guess I need to thank them for that, at least 😜). And they've covered the likes of Skid Row, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Mäneskin, Extreme, Nickelback... It's a pity you didn't discover them a couple of months ago; as others have mentioned, they finally made it to London (the O2 Academy in Islington) on January 26th, and it was a _blistering_ show... and very emotional for me, having loved them for about three years. I was lucky enough to see them do a short set in Seoul as part of a larger Halloween show with five other bands (right at the front, just a few feet from Hyunjung!), but the Islington show, with a full 80-minute set, and actually meeting them afterwards, was a _huge_ deal (for the record, they're _such_ sweethearts 🥰)... If you're interested to check it out, there's a full recording of that show from the balcony (just look up "Rolling Quartz Islington")... Blaze, beeteedubs. 🐰
You and MISA of Band-Maid share a passion for tasty beer. Rolling Quartz is a great band with lots of great songs, "Holler", "Azalea", "Delight", "Fearless", "NAZABARBARA", and "Reminiscence" are all worth your time, for sure!
If Grandad is planning on tasting Corsendonk, a famously-strong Belgian Trappist ale, I recommend drinking it whilst laying on the floor, simultaneously holding onto something solid. It's 8.5% ABV, if memory serves me correctly. 😵
Thank you for the Rolling Quartz reaction. I recommend Rolling Quartz Azalea, Sing your heart out, Good night, Reminiscence. These songs are not Rolling Quartz's original songs, but they will be a good K-rock introduction for you.
Despite the fact that Korea is inundated with their pop music scene, Rolling Quartz seems to be doing pretty well for a rock band in Korea. They do tour all over the world and their fan base extends well beyond Korea. The Fix and DIH (initials not a word) are some other really good Korean bands that you might want to try. Rolling Quartz has got a lot of great songs to explore. I hope you are having a great day!
Thanks for the review, Rolling Quartz is Korean, not Japanese. They are very talented, their skill in their instruments is tops. They are pushing rock in a country where it is not appreciated at all. They are Indy, not idol, consequently they don’t have multi-billionaire investors providing them with everything in the hope of megabucks in return. They truly love what they are doing, the chemistry between the members is great and they have a blast playing on stage. I love them and wishing them a great career, they deserve it. If you are interested where they stand today, I suggest their latest single Fearless MV and I also highly recommend their ‘Remake’ of a 70s Korean rock song Reminiscence on request of the original songwriter, who is visible in the studio during the recording. Thanks for reading my spill.
They are not japanese,, japanese female bands like bandmaid, lovebites, nemophila, gacharic spin, trident, hanabie is a million times better than them..
'" the skills on playing their instruments is on top" 😂😂😂, have yoi ever seen kanami, saki, miyako, hazuki , tomo-zo and midori shred the guitar?? Misa, Koga, fami haraguchi san play bass? or akane, haruna, hana , yuri and tamu play drums?? 😂😂 they are good but comapared to japanese female bands they were just average.
Just as a small addendum, I believe Sanullim originally approached them to cover a _different_ song, but they _really_ wanted to do Reminiscence...and after hearing it, Kim Changwook said it was the best version he'd ever heard..! 😁🥰
Love a bit of RQ, properly gutted that I couldn't get down to London for the recent tour. If you're gonna check them out again, fully recommend their song 'Fearless'. As another suggestion, noting that millage may vary depending on your tolerance for the more extreme end of the spectrum, I'd love to get your reaction to Kokeshi - Taikai. I'll link it below, the vocalist for this band is a monster and the musicians clearly know their stuff. ua-cam.com/video/oQ0TveS1Ecg/v-deo.htmlsi=sTm-FDwu0MOpW_Un P.s. BLAZE 👍

5 exceptionally talented, beautiful and down-to-earth young women. I'm proud to have been with them since the early days. 🤘🔥💎

When you go to their UA-cam page, you just point, click, and win. Every song is amazing.

Very good. They played O2 Islington Academy, London, UK in January this year
Very good band RQ I know what I write I am fan of LB and like BM and Nemo.

Sorry, my bad, I should’ve read the title before making the comment…
