2K games always come out a month or two before Mania, and it pisses me off because after mania we gotta change titles, add attires, change statuses, edit teams, blah blah. 2K25 should come out a week or two after mania, so we don't need to spend 100 bucks on the latest mania stage, we get updated title holders, and possibly updated stages. I didn't see much praise for 23, And yes 22 was good. The problem with 24 and 23 is that no matter where you play in story, it gets repetitive REAL quick and the Online mode is probably the worst it's ever been. I literally had more fun setting up universe mode than i did playing it. It has no life. Its hard to tell a story without promos. I think the are trying to make a fighting game instead of a wrestling game.
The main thing I wish they bring back is in the create-a-superstar is being able to change each part of the body independently like from 2k14 and back.
The truth is any UA-camrs affiliated with 2K hype this game up to be “the best WWE 2K game” but in all honestly 2K are complete trash… They don’t know how to make a functional game & for me personally it’s about time they pass it on to someone who can actually make a polished game & someone who will listen to the customers

2k19 universe mode is worse. The promos were annoying because there was no voice acting and the writing was awful. We got the same 8 cutscenes over and over. We had less match types. People put way too much glaze on 2k19.
It's crazy how we are do bored with this game now, we are begging for 2k25... but I'm not getting my hopes up until I see what they do with it. This game needs so much polishing and more interactive ability with crowd and more backstage areas

Promos were one of the reasons on why 2k20 was broken and they built these last games on the 2k20 code so i doubt they will ever come back unless they make a completely new engine which is unlikely knowing these pos

WWE2K isn't a WRESTLING game anymore.The stiff and clunky combo system is not something I look forward to seeing again. The gameplay for WWE 2K18-20 had really good pacing with OMGs, chain wrestling & abilities/skills. Going back to that type of engine with the new graphics…I believe we would have a masterpiece.

The rest of NQCC and Meta-Four 5. Sgt. Slaughter 6. NXT Heritage Cup 7. Four-Person and Five-Person Faction Entrances 8. Merge Entrance and Victory Creation 9. More MyRise unlockable characters (Such as the MyRise originals, give them a separate tab in character selection) 10. More Weapons (Singapore Cane, Thumbtacks, 2x4) 11. A new area in Backstage Brawls (A small lobby of sorts entered from the far left side)

I dont play Myfaction at all. Strictly Universe. My trick is: I don’t follow a time concept. I stay in the year 1997 and I continuously stay within the time period. I use house rules and set challenges with storylines. I have WCW, WWF, ECW, and Japan. That, and a good slider set, you will have a blast like I am.
It's a real shame when the PS1 versions of games had more cutscenes then a ps4 game. (Smackdown 1 and 2 had way more cutscenes in theri season then the 2k24 universe)
They need to bring back Story Designer mode and weapon physics from Smackdown vs Raw 2011 into the franchise. I know they cannot do it for 2K24 but they can for 2K25.
I honestly think they broke alot of the trons in 2k24 compared to 2k23 for example using seth at NXT in 2k24 then in 2k23 graphics on tron and and then no graphics on tron
They need to merge GM Mode and Universe Mode into one. Bring back promos, add backstage segments, contract signings which end in brawls and table spots?? Allow us to toggle between GM mode and classic superstar mode at the same time so we have more control of our universe mode. I think MyFaction improved this year and I think they need to keep investing into MyFaction so we can get more players on the franchise and they can use that revenue to fix or even revamp modes like Universe mode.
Add promos Story creation where you can add it to universe mode Option to end the fued whenever you want Add 2 v 2 fueds with actions Add actions to minor shows. Mid match run and cash ins. I shouldn't have to remake tag teams with all their moves and entrances every time I make a new universe (there has to be an easier interface) Don't mix tag teams (edge and Matt hardy vs Chrisian and Jeff hardy) I hate having to change the participants around. The 40 years of WrestleMania was a disappointment..only putting 21 matches was aggravating and Myfaction is in my opinion is very idiotic and dumb to have SO many things locked behind that mode is really stupid.
Universe mode was so fun until wwe 2k22 came out, sure there's superstar mode which can feel like a career mode i guess. I can't believe they would remove the promo system. It was so fun and i was so bummed out when they removed it.

Also love the game and every aspect of it. Agree that im hoping for a little less freedom in universe mode next year as a separate option. Much in the way that they have superstar and classic

I just got back into this game about 2 3 weeks ago after the patch a lot still needs updates and improvements. This game really has a lot of potential it’s really fun.
Im not gonna lie, the only way i keep having fun on the game like around here is writing down plot lines in my notes for what id like to see like a finn balor main event push and shit like that i havent touched anything besides universe in a month+
The CPU AI logic could also use a real update and it's a part of the game I rarely see anyone speak on. Same carry move, they can't set up a table in a non-table match, they either go straight up the ladder in a ladder match or ignore the other person going up the ladder, The personality aspects still don't matter after years and AI feels like they all fight the same making them lack distinct traits. Universe mode is just not dynamic and unpredictable. somehow they took a step back by locking cutscenes behind how intense the rivalry is. They also should allow us to CHOOSE a match winner and still WATCH it. In real life matches are pre-determined we should be able to watch a match that we chose the winner for already.
Create a story combined with a universe mode overhaul being able to create legitimate story’s inside of universe mode like how 2k14 had it and also create a finisher and I know this sounds goofy but maybe an online universe mode so you could do championships and storylines with the homies would be fun
Mane I wish 2k will bring back the universe storylines like in 2k15. That feature alone made universe mode the greatest mode ever. Sucks that feature was only exclusive to 2k15 and we desperately need promos back and multi man rivalries

WWE2k24 was the first wrestling game I played and bought in 18 years. Purely on gameplay and visual terms it's the best wrestling game I've ever played and seen. BUT as a product / service including technical issues (such as crashes) I will never buy a 2K wrestling game again. It's definitely a love/hate thing, but I've understood 2K business practices, and there's no way I'm ever giving them my hard earned money again. But, like I said, on pure gameplay terms it's amazing. Their Arena & Show creation mode is mind-blowing.
Honestly I feel like 2K needs to take a 2 year gap at least when making these video games. Because it’s really just starting to look the same just with a few added features and a fresh coat of paint. If you look at the success they had after 2k20 to 2k22, it was a massive improvement along with but fixes. 2k24 has so many bugs that started day 1, but they haven’t fixed them because they are making 2k25, which I feel is unfair for the community and we shouldn’t have to wait a whole year for the next game to have the bugs fixed from the previous game. I don’t know if they have a unit just for bugs and fixes and if they don’t then they need to make one. But overall 2k24 has been a blast since 2k14, but because of the bugs I haven’t been able to enjoy it to the full potential I was hyped for.
I'ma be honest I just downloaded a ton of caws from cc and made some Belts, that's the only enjoyment I get now. I don't even use regular characters. Universe mode is ass I built two and they both were glitchy. Over it
So far I'm really enjoying the game especially Special Referee match. I play the game almost everyday using my imagination to come up with my own storyline. I also enjoy the guanlet match as well. 🙂
If EA can really do better yeah I agree just don't wanna regret it but if 2k can not get together than think it's time for them to go because they are not really doing a good job and I don't care what any 2k defenders say.

Online is like the main thing I want them to address. Online is so fun when it works. I buy these games mainly for the online. But I guess I gotta learn to spend my money better if they not gonna get their act together 😅
Overall, I have had an enjoyable time with the game, but the game breaking issues and created content problems need to be fixed. This game has operated under the same engine, long enough that the code should not be compromised every time a patch update drops. Maybe I'm asking too much, but I've played wwe games for over 20 years now, and as a fan, I want these titles to do well.
They need to overhaul the online servers somehow even if it's for 2K25. Whoever they use as a provider is not working out, and I think that's Amazon AWS tbh.

I don't play Myfaction, mygm or casket and ambulance matches often. I haven't used anyone in Pat McAfee pack either. I used the football in a match once, the AI held the football and fought one handed. I agree with your assessment.
the issue with road to wrestlemania concept for myrise, if you miss a wrestler who u supposed to talk to that would unlock arena or wrestler will you be able to find that person in a room or would have to start over again, that's asking too much.
It's a shame. But there are people out there who need to buy a Wrestling games for content. Like Bryan said...the social media for 2k24 was mesmerizing. All for it to be bit of a let down. 🤨
I’ve been boycotting the 2K series since 2K18 because I was sick and tired of their half-assed games. This year, I decided to give 2K another chance and purchased 2K24. A week later, I asked for a refund. When I bought the game, I had a positive outlook, hoping to see significant improvements since 2K18. I wasn’t expecting a perfect game, but something around an 8-8.5/10-good enough to play all year until 2K25. But, as always, they never failed to disappoint me. Where do I start? First off, let’s talk about Showcase mode. They took the "30 Years of WrestleMania" concept from 2K14 (produced by THQ) and half-assed it. Matches are interrupted by real footage, which completely kills the flow of the game. You have dumb and repetitive objectives to accomplish. In other words, it’s a glorified tutorial. As for the gameplay, it’s fine, although the body mechanics can lead to some hilarious and glitchy moments. My biggest gripe is the removal of chain wrestling. Like, come on. Chain wrestling is the most basic part of a match-90% of matches start with it, and they just removed it. It’s not realistic to start every match with wrestlers assaulting at each other. The pace of the matches should be build progressively. It was a cool feature that was removed, and it changes the whole dynamic of matches. I also find it annoying that every wrestler has the same stupid fighter stance, like they’re in the UFC. Bring back wrestlers’ stances; it made them unique and gave them their own identity. That feature was in SmackDown Shut Your Mouth, for crying out loud. I don’t have any major complaints about the gameplay otherwise, and I think they should stick with that route. Universe mode is a broken mess again, full of glitches that’ll give you headaches and make your eyes roll. The sad part is that the mode is likely maxed out. I still can’t believe they removed promos from the mode. Promos are a huge part of a show-you just can’t properly advance storylines and rivalries without them. Having no promos in a show is like eating a hamburger without meat. It feels bland and incomplete, just like the game as a whole. Removing show intros was also a dumb move. There’s absolutely no transition between matches since there are no segments or backstage interactions. The only thing they added is a bunch of 10-second cutscenes with no substance. The only way to make Universe mode work is by implementing a story designer in it. Universe is the only mode I really care about, but it has little to no substance and gets old very quickly-a glorified exhibition mode. It needs a complete reboot. Unless Universe mode gets major upgrades, I’m still going to boycott the game. MyGM mode is decent but, again, has a lot of limitations. You start with a low budget and a high school gym and have to work your way up. Want to do a Raw vs. Nitro with stacked rosters? Nope, you can’t. Your budget is so limited that you can’t afford it. They should let you choose if you want a small, mid, or high (or infinite) budget, or at least unlock the option. I’d love to do a Monday Night War season, but I can’t because it’s so limited. Also, no 6- or 8-man matches, no Elimination Chamber, no Royal Rumble match (lol), no brand-specific PPVs, and only a 25-week calendar. That said, MyGM is somewhat interesting but still lacks depth. Can’t believe this game is rated 8 out of 10 in most reviews. As long as they keep getting generous ratings, you’re still going to get a half-assed game every year.

I dont play Myfaction at all. Strictly Universe. My trick is: I don’t follow a time concept. I stay in the year 1997 and I continuously stay within the time period. I use house rules and set challenges with storylines. I have WCW, WWF, ECW, and Japan. That, and a good slider set, you will have a blast like I am.

It's a real shame when the PS1 versions of games had more cutscenes then a ps4 game. (Smackdown 1 and 2 had way more cutscenes in theri season then the 2k24 universe)

They need to bring back Story Designer mode and weapon physics from Smackdown vs Raw 2011 into the franchise. I know they cannot do it for 2K24 but they can for 2K25.

They need to merge GM Mode and Universe Mode into one. Bring back promos, add backstage segments, contract signings which end in brawls and table spots?? Allow us to toggle between GM mode and classic superstar mode at the same time so we have more control of our universe mode. I think MyFaction improved this year and I think they need to keep investing into MyFaction so we can get more players on the franchise and they can use that revenue to fix or even revamp modes like Universe mode.

The CPU AI logic could also use a real update and it's a part of the game I rarely see anyone speak on. Same carry move, they can't set up a table in a non-table match, they either go straight up the ladder in a ladder match or ignore the other person going up the ladder, The personality aspects still don't matter after years and AI feels like they all fight the same making them lack distinct traits. Universe mode is just not dynamic and unpredictable. somehow they took a step back by locking cutscenes behind how intense the rivalry is. They also should allow us to CHOOSE a match winner and still WATCH it. In real life matches are pre-determined we should be able to watch a match that we chose the winner for already.

WWE2k24 was the first wrestling game I played and bought in 18 years. Purely on gameplay and visual terms it's the best wrestling game I've ever played and seen. BUT as a product / service including technical issues (such as crashes) I will never buy a 2K wrestling game again. It's definitely a love/hate thing, but I've understood 2K business practices, and there's no way I'm ever giving them my hard earned money again. But, like I said, on pure gameplay terms it's amazing. Their Arena & Show creation mode is mind-blowing.

Honestly I feel like 2K needs to take a 2 year gap at least when making these video games. Because it’s really just starting to look the same just with a few added features and a fresh coat of paint. If you look at the success they had after 2k20 to 2k22, it was a massive improvement along with but fixes. 2k24 has so many bugs that started day 1, but they haven’t fixed them because they are making 2k25, which I feel is unfair for the community and we shouldn’t have to wait a whole year for the next game to have the bugs fixed from the previous game. I don’t know if they have a unit just for bugs and fixes and if they don’t then they need to make one. But overall 2k24 has been a blast since 2k14, but because of the bugs I haven’t been able to enjoy it to the full potential I was hyped for.

Overall, I have had an enjoyable time with the game, but the game breaking issues and created content problems need to be fixed. This game has operated under the same engine, long enough that the code should not be compromised every time a patch update drops. Maybe I'm asking too much, but I've played wwe games for over 20 years now, and as a fan, I want these titles to do well.

I don't play Myfaction, mygm or casket and ambulance matches often. I haven't used anyone in Pat McAfee pack either. I used the football in a match once, the AI held the football and fought one handed. I agree with your assessment.

the issue with road to wrestlemania concept for myrise, if you miss a wrestler who u supposed to talk to that would unlock arena or wrestler will you be able to find that person in a room or would have to start over again, that's asking too much.
It's a shame. But there are people out there who need to buy a Wrestling games for content. Like Bryan said...the social media for 2k24 was mesmerizing. All for it to be bit of a let down. 🤨

That’s not a fair comparison.
I’ve been boycotting the 2K series since 2K18 because I was sick and tired of their half-assed games. This year, I decided to give 2K another chance and purchased 2K24. A week later, I asked for a refund.
When I bought the game, I had a positive outlook, hoping to see significant improvements since 2K18. I wasn’t expecting a perfect game, but something around an 8-8.5/10-good enough to play all year until 2K25. But, as always, they never failed to disappoint me. Where do I start?
First off, let’s talk about Showcase mode. They took the "30 Years of WrestleMania" concept from 2K14 (produced by THQ) and half-assed it. Matches are interrupted by real footage, which completely kills the flow of the game. You have dumb and repetitive objectives to accomplish. In other words, it’s a glorified tutorial.
As for the gameplay, it’s fine, although the body mechanics can lead to some hilarious and glitchy moments. My biggest gripe is the removal of chain wrestling. Like, come on. Chain wrestling is the most basic part of a match-90% of matches start with it, and they just removed it. It’s not realistic to start every match with wrestlers assaulting at each other. The pace of the matches should be build progressively. It was a cool feature that was removed, and it changes the whole dynamic of matches. I also find it annoying that every wrestler has the same stupid fighter stance, like they’re in the UFC. Bring back wrestlers’ stances; it made them unique and gave them their own identity. That feature was in SmackDown Shut Your Mouth, for crying out loud. I don’t have any major complaints about the gameplay otherwise, and I think they should stick with that route.
Universe mode is a broken mess again, full of glitches that’ll give you headaches and make your eyes roll. The sad part is that the mode is likely maxed out. I still can’t believe they removed promos from the mode. Promos are a huge part of a show-you just can’t properly advance storylines and rivalries without them. Having no promos in a show is like eating a hamburger without meat. It feels bland and incomplete, just like the game as a whole. Removing show intros was also a dumb move. There’s absolutely no transition between matches since there are no segments or backstage interactions. The only thing they added is a bunch of 10-second cutscenes with no substance. The only way to make Universe mode work is by implementing a story designer in it. Universe is the only mode I really care about, but it has little to no substance and gets old very quickly-a glorified exhibition mode. It needs a complete reboot. Unless Universe mode gets major upgrades, I’m still going to boycott the game.
MyGM mode is decent but, again, has a lot of limitations. You start with a low budget and a high school gym and have to work your way up. Want to do a Raw vs. Nitro with stacked rosters? Nope, you can’t. Your budget is so limited that you can’t afford it. They should let you choose if you want a small, mid, or high (or infinite) budget, or at least unlock the option. I’d love to do a Monday Night War season, but I can’t because it’s so limited. Also, no 6- or 8-man matches, no Elimination Chamber, no Royal Rumble match (lol), no brand-specific PPVs, and only a 25-week calendar. That said, MyGM is somewhat interesting but still lacks depth.
Can’t believe this game is rated 8 out of 10 in most reviews. As long as they keep getting generous ratings, you’re still going to get a half-assed game every year.
