Someone said he sounds like a young Frank Sinatra. Not in the least. They don’t sound alike, and although we all love Frankie’s version, this Italian kid has the better voice. Gianluca has a very solid, full voice, his vibrato is very rounded and pronounced, even in the shorter notes. Sinatra never had this sort of operatic baritone. His vibrato was much milder. He was so much lighter overall, hence he was a crooner, which is what he was known as. Good singing chops but light. I love Sinatra, but that’s what he was. Gianluca sings fully, not breezily and paints a picture with his amazingly developed, rich, vocal instrument. Sinatra sounded more resonant when he was younger, more chest voice, but he was much lighter with a totally different timbre. They don’t sound alike at all.
When Jianluca sings, every song turns to a magically charming piece. It makes a wonderful experience to the listeners!
