Years ago I built a Teebird Ultralite and my neighbor hanger guy bought one of these when they first came out and it looked really really cool I always thought it would be funny though to have a bee fly up the pantleg / crotch with legs hanging out the sides like that Awesome video appreciated the good music too
I used to work for air tec ultralite store years ago. was so fun get off work and fly till dark. gene beaver had lots of fun birds. and steve the cool mech too. 👍🇺🇸
Michael McKellar , I think it will be a wing wash problem meaning one wing is lower at the rear than the other thus causing the plane to roll without even using the ailerons. Much like the Wright flyer was made to turn. Lol
I didn’t realize you had a UA-cam channel. AirBike looks good and looks like it handles good too, I bought a GoPro for my Breezy hopefully we’ll get some good weather to try it out. Fantastic job on the build and piloting skills . OO
Hey OO, yeah, I started posting videos o. UA-cam a long time ago. Lol Looking forward to seeing some good ole Breezy videos for sure. Stay tuned to my channel because I will start posting some new videos of my Suoer Cub build that’s just now getting underway.
TRB ZING , that all depends. If you build from scratch or you already have some of the materials yourself, it can be a little cheaper. If you buy a kit, which I’m not sure you can even purchase an Airbike kit anymore, it will be a much larger expense upfront but you will have almost everything you need to complete the aircraft besides paint and maybe instruments. Kits of any kind these days are getting pretty expensive. I doubt you could buy any kind of an aircraft kit for less than $10,000. If you can find one, you can always try and buy a used one. There’s an old saying though, “ if it don’t fly, then don’t buy”. The reason for that saying is that if you bought one almost complete, and it’s not flying, you may run into mistakes that the previous builder made that would cause the whole project to have to be scrapped. Good luck.
Mark Reed thank you i have found a plane called the Affordaplane and I think that this is the one I want to get I could buy a fully built or build one idk what I’m going to do but my main goal is getting off the ground less than 10k
Hard to say what it would cost now days. This was bought as a kit many years ago. I would say materials today minus engine would cost close to 8 to 10 grand
Awesome Mark ! Glad to see your in the air. Be certain the wing struts match perfect from left to right. Hope to have mine up soon. Dave
eclipso104 , thanks. Pretty sure their identical but I will check just to be sure.
Sir,.. your airbike so cool.. nice video, thanks for sharing 👍
mas boy RC , Thank you and glad you enjoyed it. Watch the newer ones, there a little better. Lol

Look on the Jordan lake webite. Just Google Jordan lake air bike
Well produced video. Great music and very enjoyable to watch. How are the trim tabs going to be afixed?

Looks like alot of fun. What's one of these cost as a kit? And/or ready to fly? What a voyage that would be to Oshkosh! Enjoyed the video.
Kevin Stephenson , thanks. The Only place I know of that you might have any luck is. www.jordanlakeaero.com/

Dennis Dewey , thanks.
Are you still flying this nice machine?
No, sold it over a year ago. Great flying little plane.
Если поставить кабину!иск не подадут,пропустит ли летная комиссия? Вы не знаете?интересует комфорт и возможность перевозить грузы до 100 кг.
Which engine ?plz tell its specs, price etc..Thanks
The engine I used was a Hirth 2702 which is 40hp. I bought the engine used but had a fresh rebuild and I believe I paid $2,300 for it.
Are u still flying this plane?
No, sold it a couple of months ago.
2020
@@theflyingfireman Can you tell me for how much money did you sell it? Thanks
@@jakubkohak7992 , I sold it for $7,000.00

Very cool. I want to build a legal eagle xl
Those sudden stick and foot movements make me nervous. Parts can break
hello I'm brazilian. where can I buy the project of this Air Bike plane ??
Not sure anymore. I sold this one about 2 years ago.
That's great.
any plans for the air bike available?
Shane C. , not to my knowledge unless you can find someone that has a set for sale.
Jordan Lake Aero sells AirBike plans. (Air-Bike 103 and LS Plan Set $150)
There's nothing like a test flight!
That’s for sure. I’ve built 3 planes and test flew all 3. Pretty scary times . Lol
