Marantz 2270 and HD88 speaker audition

Recorded on March 1, 2012 using a Flip Video camera. Once again, the Marantz 2270 reciever/amplifier, and vintage HD 88 speakers, circa 1974-76. The HD88's have been refurbished, refinished, and now have vintage Marantz woofers installed as they were missing when I first got them. Vari Q plugs have been fashioned from 3 inch upholstory foam on original rods and knobs. Hard to tell in this video, but the sound stage is very wide, there's lots of depth and very good frequency response. NIce pairing. Please comment.

Excellent system! Do you have Is a equalizer hooked up to it? Do the speakers have 2 super tweeters in them? I have HD 66 and Marantz 2252b. A eq. Adds so much to the sound.

Nice stereo audio gear. Nice speakers too! I have the little brother HD77's. I have my speakers hooked to a Yamaha system - pre-amp C-1 and MX-2 power amp.
