I just had the same thing happen. Had a cat that used to come into my backyard and I would shoo her away, except for the other day I was watering near where she would come out of the fence and I looked down and there was a kitten. I took it to the vet to make sure it was OK and went home to wait on the call. I went back to finish watering and looked down and there was another kitty in the same spot. In hindsight, I believe the mother was trying to tell me she needed help and I was shooing her away. I feel so bad, but I have started leaving food and cat milk out for her and it is always licked clean. The kittens are 4 weeks old and their eyes were completely matted shut and they have FIV. This happened YESTERDAY. Today...after one full day plus of eye drops, worm medicine, and antibiotics (also had respiratory infection), they are doing amazingly well! I love them and am already attached. By the way...I pretty much couldn’t stand cats before these little balls of fur came into my life, so thank you mommy kitty. I will bring them outside as soon as they are fully better to see you so you know they’re ok ❤️
