Thanks a lot for fullfilling my request🙏🏻🌹 much appreciated
Thank you for introducing me to Kingdom Hearts
Thank u so much for recommending the goat
@@AtlasBenighted, you should totally do 13th strugle ,its the song the first bosfight with axel in the prologu of the game
If you are interested, the title of the track is Darkness of the Unknown.
You're right thinking this is more about the situation. The chaos in the second movement stems from the fact that Sora and Riku, the main characters, are chasing and fighting an all-powerful foe, who warps reality and throws literal buildings at them to destroy them. But they prevail... only to be dragged in a place that doesn't exist, where there's no time.
In that third movement, Xemnas, leader of Organization XIII and most powerful of beings that are not supposed to be, accept that he lost to these boys... and tries to drag them with him while he falls down fighting.
That's where the melancholic tone of the movement comes from.
It's funny how in defeat he actually ends up getting what he wanted, which is becoming Master Xehanort again
Kingdom hearts series really has some insane composition by yoko shimomura, she's an amazing composer and you've surely reacted to her songs on this channel before, she realy know how to make music
Yoko Shinomura is legendary
@@yeetskeet3fr bro I hope one day I can make music like that
I have to say Xemnas is up there as one of the best final bosses in gaming. The track definitely sets the tone and hearing it years later immediately throws you back into sora’s shoes slicing up buildings and blocking way too many lasers.
His "Disappeared" theme from Kingdom Hearts 1 really sets the tone as well. Such a menacing character.
Agreed I can’t stop watching that final boss over and over lol
This track is missing:
"You shall go together... "
*_"GUARD!!!!"_*
"Cursed Keyblade.... "
"Anger and hate are supreme."
"Here"
"Begone !!!"
"Why don't you vanish ?"
thats the final form one
but this is the theme where they fought the nobody dragon
@@Ephemerthefish2525 Someone didn't listen to the song or watch the video entirely, the song is called Darkness of the Unknown and it's a 3 part song, in the game they just separate the 3 parts and give one to each phases but this is the same song and the last part is the one that play during Xemnas's final form.
anger and hate are soup cream
“Sora are you sure you can trust riku”
You should try the final mix version as well. The orchestra breathes a whole new life into the track, especially the second movement.
It's actually the HD Version, Final Mix was already released on PS2 but in Japan, the soundtracks remained unchanged, even having PS2 versions of Exclusive music.
tru, I prefer some of the originals but definitely not this one
@@soulsolis3096 hmmm no? The HD remixes have orchestrated tracks that are not in the original game, not even on the FM version. They were literally composed to the HD remixes
@paullusquercus That's literally what he said 😂
@@nox_cadit that's literally what soulsolis said, you fucking dumbass
You're not wrong about KH stuff. You could react to the entire soundtrack and find motifs shared. See "Organization XIII" or the other battle theme for its members "The Thirteenth Struggle". Both are great songs
Cool!
To me, Yoko Shimomura is the greatest composer in the industry. Her work on the KH games and FFXV isn't just "carrying Uematsu's torch", she IS one of the OGs. She composed for Street Fighter II, Super Mario RPG, the Mana series, and her style is unmistakable when you've listened to enough of her. In fact, most JRPG music "sounds like Yoko Shimomura", rather than KH being derivative.
Completely agree. She is legendary.
YES! My favorite boss theme
Sameeee
I would HIGHLY recommend listening to the updated version of this track - almost a decade after Kingdom Hearts 2's initial launch, the game was rereleased officially as "Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix" with updated graphics and additional content along with soundtrack, which was entirely redone from the ground up with much higher quality instruments/VST's. Glad to see this beloved series STILL getting some love on this channel after all these years
Basically Kingdom Hearts games are Final Fantasy characters combined with Disney worlds and characters.
Truth.
This has to be the most shallow and superficial speech ever said about KH.
As if Kingdom hearts doesnt have all his characters original to the story and sometimes a FF cameo xDD is like saying Oh yeah zelda is just Mario with blobs and a pigdemon boss instead of a turtle demonboss only cuz they both from nintendo xDD such superficial comments
@@Ventus2077 I mean it’s pretty much the best way to sum up the experience in a sentence or less. Get over it
Also, Donald Duck can use Zettaflare.
I'd also recommend listing to the final mix version of this song, really enhances the instruments to not sound so synth-ey and, bizarrely, changes to pipe organ to strings during that second phase. Either way, great reaction, hope to see more KH in the future!
The final mix versions is the same, its the Kingdom Hearts 2.5 remix version that isn't compressed and fully orchestrated.
@@swixx639 that's the one I was thinking of, my apologies, I thought they were the same
We need more kingdom hearts music reactions!! Love you Atlas!
I can hear the SFX from moves and voice lines from the final fight sequence while listening to this
“We shall go together” , “ha hu haaaa”
“Gunna lose it all”
@@Duality333 😂
Can you spare... a heart?
RIKU!
THIS IS IT
IT'S OVER
BACK OFF
GONNA LOSE IT ALL!!
There is an updated version of this game's soundtrack with proper real instruments with the Kingdom Hearts 2.5 (KH2, Birth by Sleep and ReCoded bundled)
It's always a treat watching people that do music for a living react to KH's soundtrack
I'm glad you did an analysis of this track from my favorite entry of the series.
If you ever get the chance to, take a listen to the music track known as Dark Impetus. Though it's known by another name in Kingdom hearts DDD.
L'impeto Oscuro.
I will add on that while Dark Impetus and L'Impeto Oscuro share their main motif, they're substantially different pieces. Could be interesting to compare the two!
"Darkness is the heart's true essence!"
Wrong boss
I don't know what you're talking about. This is totally a line from Xehanort.
@@J.P1981You are technically correct.
hell yes! youve gotta play kingdom hearts 1 and 2 if you havent already in your own time. if you havent, seeing a play through of those two games on this channel would be INCREDIBLE
Those damn palm lightsabers...
Very interested to hear your thoughts on other pieces from Kingdom Hearts. The majority of the music is undeniably a blast. Good vibes sent :)
Thank you. More KH will come
there's awesome remix of this called Duet of the Keyblade Masters OC ReMix from years and years ago
I guess Xemnas theme itself would be the one called "Organization 13"
6:29 "Anger and hate are supreme" everytime it gets to that part I always heards those words in my head.
You shall go together
"nothingness is eternal"
"Cursed... Keyblade..."
"no more eternal than that radiance of yours" *cue music*
they also remade the entire soundtrack with a full orchestra if you would like to give it a listen.
There’s music that themes the different disney worlds that exemplifies disney but the dramatic, story-prescient music sounds pretty final fantasy.
Ooo if you like this you should do Master of Masters, the song is really telling of his personality and function in the story also yoko uses disconcordant notes mastefully!
Oh man, you should check out the orchestral arrangement that came with the re-release 8 years later.
This fight is divided on 3 stages, of each one version of the track, wile the first 2 stages you fight Xenmas godly form. The final stage is just the human form with the calming music in the background
It doesn't feel complete without Xemnas throwing out insults trying to manipulate Sora and Riku haha. Love this series with all my Heart.
this version that you are listening to is done via synth. The remastered version from the 2.5 version of the soundtrack uses an actual orchestra, so if you wanted to get a better sense of the instrumentation for future Kingdom Hearts music, I recommend looking at the 1.5 or 2.5 versions of those OSTs
Man, you should really listen to his KH3 theme song, it's amazing!
You should listen to the final mix versions of kingdom hearts 1/2 music, its generally more polished and refined
There are many ,,Xemnas-Themes" in the games of Kingdom Hearts.
Every one is cool in my opinion.
My favorite is the theme of the final battle with xemnas in KH2. (the third phase of this track you reacted here)
:D
Mine is definitely his fight in 3D
@@SoloIori Oh boy, that is one great track too! 👍🤩
he should head the 2.5 version
Brother man kingdom hearts music is goated
"Perhaps there are some songs that combine Final Fantasy and Disney style"
[convulses in Castle of Dreams]
Lmao “you shall go together”
KINGDOM HEARTS 2 HAS SUCH FUCKING PEAKKKKKKKKKK TRACKS
The same composer did the music for FF15 and it was one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard. Omnis Lacrima is the first song that comes to mind. If you haven't already heard that soundtrack you should give it a shot!
listening to this without the gameplay actually gives me chills you could put this music with any final battle and it would work😂😂
I think you'll like the song l'oscurita dell'ignoto it's another xemnas theme
Anger and hate are supreme
You should listen / react to the final theme for KH3, “Dark Domination.” That theme had my emotions soaring around the room.
Outside of that, anything from final fantasy 15 is a masterpiece. Great vid.
You should do 'Kingdom Hearts 3 - Scala Ad Caelum' 6min long but the loop is about a min and ½ long. Battle theme but beautiful
One of the best theme's of Kingdom hearts.❤❤❤
Try "The 13th struggle" from the kingdom hearts 2 ost if you enjoyed this one! The ost for KH2 is filled with great tracks.
"we shall go together"
Actually I think Xemnas' theme is called Disappeared (it's what plays in his first encounter in KH1 and first fight in KH2) and it sounds pretty crazy.
Darkness of the Unknown (which is what this track is called) is probably my favorite battle theme in KH (not this version though, the updated HD version of it).
Been a while since I heard the original version of this song instead of the remaster.
The driving force behind ttheir song is its incredible energy. A suggestion as well! October Ends' new song is on a whole other level. You should react to their new song! 🔥
If you’re looking for a song fusing both, I’d recommend Fantasia Alla Marcia. It’s the end credit song of KH2 and it has a lot more undertones that feel Disney like, while incorporating the spirit of final fantasy. At least in my uneducated opinion
Definitely do more Kingdom hearts boss music! Yoko Shimorua is amazing.
I don’t know why square refuses to make as epic tracks like this for their last few final bosses
1. 0:20 Battle against giant enemy dragon building
2: 1:20 Battle against armor xemnas
3: 6:28 A final fight
Ho boy, I see Kingdom Hearts :D
Try to listen to the 2.5 remastered version of this track as well if you have the time. They add more orchestra touch in 2.5, it should be an interesting piece for you to look on.
Also, the track name is "Darkness of Unknown". I believe there were others that already comment this, but just an extra reminder.
If you are doing kingdom hearts, try Nachtflügel from Kingdom Hearts 3
CONFLICT
Of course; Terra "is" there
I mean... you can tell that only for the music? Was Terranort a thing in KH Team's minds by 2005? My god
please do more!!!
some suggestions may be -->
Fate of the unknown (2.5 rmx)
Missing you (2.5 rmx)
Vector to heavens (kh3)
Roxas theme (kh2)
Musique pour la tristesse de xion
Hey, can you react to “A Fight To The Death” from Kingdom hearts 2.5? It’s also apart of the final boss ost’s that wasn’t included in this video.
Darkness of the Unknown.
now you opened a can of worms
Good
For the first time i preferred the remix version over the original it just goes so much harder
This version is the ps2 version so it sounds very MIDI. I recommend listenng to the new hd remix version which is fully orchestrated. It sounds a million times better!
If you like this then plz listen to “The other promises “ from kh2 it’s up there as one of my favorite in this game
YO Atlus, I'd love it if u react to Kingdom of Predators and give your thoughts on the theme. I think you'll have a lot to say
You gotta react to xion theme it’s so amazing
i don't know ... i think this is not the final boss but yeah is one of the last ones
As a fan of kingdom hearts and Xemnas himself, darness of the unknow has always definetly to me described the situation but also xemnas as a character being the lord of nothingness you sometimes at least to me can feel this dread and doubt that is built up by his story
React the Legend of Zelda Twilight princesse staff credits
Nintendon't gets reeeee
You should listen to “You will know our names” from Xenoblade Chronicles, I prefer the version that is in the definitive edition
The soundtrack of KH2 is actually a lot better when listening to the versions from the II.5 HD Re:MIX Collection.
Darkness of the Unknown is peak, wish you reacted to the full thing instead of just this second part but whatever
👀 what do you think about Edge of Existence from KH3?
I'm surprised you actually heard any of the song, you kept getting lost in your thoughts while listening
I think you listened to some KH stuff a few years ago?
I did, and completely forgot
do 13th struggle
Wait, why not analyze the updated Kingdom Hearts 2.5 version of Darkness of the Unknown? The KH2 version is kind of dated at this point.
actually
its not really xemnas theme
it called duet of the keyblade masters
meaning its the 2 main characters theme
Nah it’s called Darkness of the Unknown officially.
The KH fandom, treating fan names as official since day 1.
This track is called Darkness of the Unknown.
Everyone who listens to kh music always picks the wrong version lol. The 2.5 version of this is significantly better.
Can't say i blame them lol its hard to navigate all the different versions
Disagree
Wrong, this is exactly the version the person that requested the song wanted
Oh? Sall good then!
2:01 basically lol with a Disney Skin.
4:23 it goes even deeper. It’s less to do about “Who He is” and more so to do about “What He is”.
This Boss Fight is one of my favorites. It’s utilizes all the mechanics of the game while pairing you with the friend the MC had been searching for over 2 Games. Also Xemnas has and shoots Lightsabers.
I think it speaks wonder about Nobuo Uematsu's legacy and inspiration when you can think a song he hasn't compose really feel like something he has composed ^^
Absolutely!
Well Nobuo Uemastu is Yoko Shimomura's musical role model. So it makes sense for her music to be influenced by him.
@@skyhart1377 I know
This theme encompasses three different phases of the same boss fight.
Fun Fact: the woman that composes for the Kingdom Hearts series, Yoko Shimomura, also composed the music for the Mario and Luigi RPG series.
This may be the theme for the final battle, but this isn't Xemnas's actual personal battle theme, that song is called Disappeared and is used in your first fight against him, before he get his final boss powerup.
Did you do roxas and xion theme in kingdom hearts
I wanna know what hed think of vector to the heavens
