Great song and message, good luck to those who need to "let it go"; it's easier said than done. I'm 56 and still carrying around bitterness from my childhood. I was raised by an abusive, drunken step-dad (My bio-dad left when I was one, never met him). I can remember at 8 or 9 literally crawling from the kitchen to my bedroom as my step-dad beat me with a belt and the time he hit my mom when I was 13 and I had enough, without thinking tackled him to the living room rug but wasn't big enough to take him on and he almost choked me to death, my mother calling the State Police. Well, in the early 70s, there was no CPS, so nothing was done. Moved out when I was 17 and never looked back. Good luck on your journey Kane Brown, you are a fine young man with a gift; thanks for sharing it with the world!

Going back and forth to my Mom, but I look at it now as, it is what it is and it has made me who I am today... I am now a Loving wife, been with my 2nd Husband for 35 years...💖 I have had 4 Beautiful Daughters (sadly lost one of my Daughters in 2017 as she lost her battle with Cystic Fibrosis 5 days after her 32nd Birthday)😢 (We also lost my BIL and my Mom all within a months time of losing my Daughter - such Heartache) 😢 I am also now a Grandmother to 5 Wonderful Grandchildren and now I also have a new Beautiful Great Grandson... life has been very hard since birth basically... My 2nd Husband has been a God Send to me & my girls... 💖🙏💖 I have been through all this and then some yet I still feel So Blessed to be alive...🙏🙏🙏 I too was homeless, running away from many types of abuse etc...
