Scott, it's good to see your Triumphant Return! I actually couldn't bring myself to watch your stepping away from youtube video until I saw this one was up. My favorite stickers in the 80's when I was a kid were puffy glow in the dark stickers featuring Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, The Mummy, and The Wolfman. And anything with dinosaurs of course.
Thanks Tyler, stay tuned! I have a long list of projects I want to get to. Puffy stickers are on the list. I have also recorded a video of a project featuring classic universal monsters that should come out next month.
@@ScottSerkland Looking forward to it! If you figure out a way to do cool glow in the dark stickers, I'll be waiting with bells on!
@@tylerblakeart4810 I’d love to do some glow in the dark stickers at some point.
This is so good dude - the edits are so clean 🧼
Thanks Holly. I’m really going to lean into building this channel up and going HAM on my video content.
I’m so happy you’re back Scott! The video definitely gave me some inspiration. I grew up in the 200s so Barbie, Nickelodeon stickers like Rugrats and Scooby Doo stickers were my favorites.
Hey Talie, glad you liked the new video. Hopefully there’s something interesting and inspiring for everyone no matter what decade they grew up in. I know Garbage Pail Kids and Wacky Packages were still being produced in the 2000s and still are today just not as popular as they were in their heyday.
Awesome come back tutorial there. That's a pretty good idea, especially in this age of having cute little characters.
I used to put stickers all over my folders whenever I would get them at school. Oddly enough I'd never use said folders. Would be neat if there was a way to insert your very own bubblegum card in the package with those, then again maybe not....
That would be nice. Stay tuned!
Awesome sauce! Love the stickers.
Welcome back - with style 🎉
Thanks. It’s good to be back and recharged, ready to take the channel to the next level.
Welcome back! Loved the old vids. Love the new vid. Keep making cool vids. Rock on!
Thanks! Will do! Glad you like the new video!
Some of my favorite stickers growing up: "Wacky Packages"
Mine too!
@@ScottSerkland I picked up a REALLY good set of those stickers and the collectors book off Ebay a while ago. So much nostalgia.
So happy to have you back!!!!
Happy to be back!
I actually was into the Garbage Pail kids when they first came out. Love this video Scott. The only thing holding me back is I’m not very computer savvy so learning how to use Procreate or Photoshop is gonna take a while.
There are a number of ways to accomplish these projects. My goal is just to inspire you. You can always create the art by hand without a computer. There’s no specific way to do it.
this the 90s art genre im looking for. thanks for posting
awesome! Glad you found it!
Welcome back Scott! Great work on the new format!
Thanks Adam, glad you like the new video format.
Great to see you back and such a lively vid love it
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow. Just wow, Scott! You made so many improvements and it shows! Great work.
I’m surprised no one has mentioned the inappropriate bunny stickers. 😂
Thanks! I’m glad the work I’m putting in shows! I’m not familiar with inappropriate bunny stickers. I’ll have to look into that.
Dude this video is poppin! Diggin the background music. Im liking the new format so far.
Glad your digging it. I’m really trying to step up my game!
Love this Scott! The new format is worth the wait and glad to see you back
Glad to be back David. That’s a great compliment having seen some of your editing not to mention you being a pro director and all.
Stoked to see you back Scott!
Stoked to be back!
Looks awesome man!! Glad to see you back at it!!
Hey, thanks! Good to be back!
I dig it! Not gonna lie, I miss the theme song music and the sign off/in .. but still love wut ur doing! The UA-cam world is a better place now dat seekworks is back
Thanks. I had that theme song for a while and unfortunately intros tend to kill engagement on UA-cam. My goal now is to keep the video moving and keep people watching. Kind of miss the theme song though.
So happy you’re back!!
Thanks! It’s awesome to be back!
I hope Jay & Silent Bob are at the Quik-Stop when I go to buy my Garbage Pail Kids
They’re usually right out front
Also that “yell” sound effect at the end ! 😂
Oh, the old Whilhelm scream.
Thrilled to see you back, great work on these stickers!
Thanks a bunch!
Amazing Video! I'm so inspired to make stickers now. Who knew they could be made at home and look that great! Awesome Dude!
You should totally make some stickers. I had a blast with these!
You’re back!!! 🎉
Back and hopefully better than ever!
Great job man, good to see you back at it! Those sticker cards were the coolest format! I've got a small but cool card and sticker collection. I have the full set of the 85 Wacky Packages, it's my favorite set they did. And I've got my favorite Garbage Pail Kids set from 1987 plus the 1982 sticker book and stickers. Some of the best nostalgia fuel out there is cards and stickers!
That’s awesome Creed. I’m jealous of your collection. Next week I’ll be doing a live stream where I unwrap a bunch of classic wax pack stickers.
You came out swinging hard on this video! I appreciate the effort you put into the edit and awesome looking stickers!
Thanks CB! More to come!
Love the idea, might try it one day
I hope you do! Go for it!
So cool. These need to be tagged everywhere. What drawing tablet do you have? I def think I need a bigger screen to work on. I've only ever known the surface pro 4.
Thanks! I’m using the 24” Cintiq Pro. I made so big investments in the new studio. I’m really planing on going HAM on my UA-cam channel.
Your colors are gorgeous. Can you talk about the printer and your print settings?
I actually outsourced the printing for these. I’m looking into getting a high quality inkjet printer. But need to do some more research.
Niceee. Scott is always bringing cool stuff. Glad to see you again.
Thanks, good to be back. More to come!
Back with a vengeance! Great work Scott! That is a fantastic idea/project. The stickers look great. Makes me want to invest in a cricket machine.
Thanks Matt. If you like this video I think you’ll love the wax pack video I have planned.
@@ScottSerkland Sounds awesome! Can't wait.
I love these stickers so much! Awesome video! Love the new format!!
Thanks Josh! So glad to be putting out UA-cam content again.
Nice work dude, the time you invested really show in the product both the cards and the video!
Thanks Gaz. Glad you liked it!
A Trapper Keeper? Where did you pull that from? lol!!! Awesome video Scott! love the look of the new studio and how everything is laid out. Also love the new editing style. (Especially liked the interrogation scene there. lol!) I have a friend who also did a rehash of the Garbage Pail Kids too. He used friends as his inspiration. (Yes I became one too.) I always thought this was great. It's great to see you do this too. I had fun watching this video and hope you do more like this in the future. Great to have you back!
Thanks! Believe it or not. They started selling Tapper Keepers again. I found mine with a quick Google search. That’s cool that your friend did his own Garbage Pail Kids and you got to be one. More videos like this to come, stay tuned.
The donut sticker was so gross 🤢
Thanks! I did my job then.
HES BACK
Glad to be back! Thanks for waiting.
Glad to see ya back man!. Been following you from the beginning!😊
It’s good to be back!
Nice video, lovely ideas.. especially cutting the balloons!
Thanks! Glad you like it.
Love the new format, Scott! It's easy to tell you've done a lot of research and put a lot of work into reinventing and revitalizing your formula. Awesome stuff
Thank you so much. I love comments like this. Let’s me know I’m on the right track.
Nice I like the new look you got going here.
Thanks! I’m happy to hear my hard work is paying off!
This new format is perfect! It was definitely worth the wait. I can’t wait to see more. Also, I never grew up with garbage pail kids but I think yours got them beat 👌
That means a lot, Thanks!
Good to see you back. Stickers available in your store?
Thanks Thomas. Next week I’ll be opening some vintage wax packs on a livestream and the following week I’ll have a video where I make wax pack packaging for these stickers and at that point I will have a limited number of them available on my store.
Excellent! What I learned here today:
Product discovery, branding, diy, elements of design, marketing, project tracking, alternative ways to get the same results.
Tell the truth now. How long did it take from inspiration to sticky printing? Any rejected ideas as inspiration for future projects?
The truth is I don’t know how long it took. I originally created the illustrations plus a few more that the nine you see here for a coloring book a while back. For this video I added the color and sent them out to be print and cut. Some of what you see is movie magic but if you were to create them yourself you can following the steps and process I laid out.
@@ScottSerkland This video then shows what can be done with the basics. It also inspires another question or series, "What files and instructions does your printer need to do the job?"
@@dplj4428 I sent the printer a high resolution Photoshop file that contained the art on one layer and outlines of where I wanted them to be kiss cut on another layer.
Awesome video Scott! Definitely gave me some inspiration!
I love hearing that, Thanks Jason.
welcome back sir! i was blown away at how you got your cricut to do the kiss cut without the black bordered registration marks.. are you able to share how you accomplished this feat? annyoing tryin to cut my stickers and having to overlay a black sharpie just so it can read the borders.
I have to be honest. I ended up sending the stickers out to a printer to have them printed and cut because it was such a hassle. I struggled with getting to line up on the Cricut. I know it can be done and if tried to find videos showing how but they are all printing and cutting from clip art I can’t find any information on designing your own stickers and cutting them. I’ll just have to keep practicing until I can figure it out.
Yesss I am so pleased to see a new upload!!
Happy to be back, More to come!
Amazing thanks for sharing !!!
My pleasure!!
Love the cards, Scott. Keep up the great work.
Thanks! Ronnie, Will do!
Brilliant!
Thank you!
Welcome back, mate!
Hey, thanks!
This was fun !
Thanks!
i love yr videos
Thanks! Glad you’re loving the videos. Tell a friend!
its good to see you are coming back. So it seams like you decided to change your image, hope that this change will give you the push you were looking into growing your channel.
Thank you. I hope so too. The new video take a lot more time and effort but I’m enjoying making them.
Mr.Serk🫡
Thanks!
