I really like this series, and can’t wait for the next book. I just wish that the characters hadn’t spent so much time wrestling with why they shouldn’t be together. I started fast forwarding these parts, because they were repetitive.

I am guessing that you don't have a lot of audiobook listening experience. She's verry far from great! Her voice is good but she doesn't have reading as a narrator down. She throws the first two words of each sentence at us like they're gross and hot. It sets a very uncomfortable listening atmosphere. That's not to say she won't improve but this is very hard to listen to.
I really enjoyed this second book, but have to say it hit close to home for me and felt as if the author knew me at some point. For example, I live in Ft Worth, my daughter’s name is the same as Lizzy’s mother (heck, my birth name is Leslie), the main character’s ex had the same first AND last name as my son, I have a good friend in Idaho with the last name Sorenson, my best (girl) friend and I had gotten pregnant at the same time and had kids who grew up together as family… So many connections! However, I was the one who left a relationship for my best (guy) friend, yet he didn’t return the feelings, and I don’t dare attempt to proceed further because, like Jared, I’d rather have him as my best friend, then as an ex. Very good read, looking forward to hearing Junie’s story here soon!

Loved the 1st book, this one was okay. The back and forth of weather they were in love or not seemed to drag out a bit.... after 3 hours I was surprised another 4 hours were left of them discovering their love for each other..

@ 1:59 ... The word is frisson. I learned it's meaning a couple of years ago & this is the first time I've heard it used. I like the sound of it, although I always have to look up how it's spelled. I saved it or I might not be able to figure it out since it's missing in more than one dictionary. 😸
I like this story but my fiance has a best friend from childhood and now she's my best friend too lmao I couldn't imagine telling him to stop being friends....but then again I guess it wasn't that kinda friendship 😜

Agree about the narrator - irritating nasal high pitched voice and very monotone. Not sure about the story yet - 33 minutes in and losing patience with the emotional triangle already.

It's like she wakes up shocked she was dozing off reading and tries to compensate by quickly shouting the words to convince us she is wide awake! It's very uncomfortabe! @@gulfportflamefighter4545, this tells us you don't have a lot of audiobook listening experience. I have listened to audiobooks for about 22 years, and still have many of them on tape and cds. She's not the worst narrator but she is not good, but could be trained.

Loved both books. Clean, magical, good escape. Narrator was one of the best. I have audible but some terrible narrators.
