- The third and final version of Demo One i own in my collection, released in 1997 this is the fifth edition if this demo CD, which brings all new playable demos of games that were about to be released.

I was 14 at the time when this was released my grandmother god bless her soul bought me a PS1 for my birthday god damn I want to be 14 again to experience this as if it was the first time
I was 13 when this demo came out - my mother took me around to her friend's house and they had a PS1 there. All they had was this demo disc and I spent an entire weekend playing the be-Jesus out of it. Honestly one of the greatest weekends of my life.
I got ps1 too from my grandmother. I was 12. Now I still play ps1, emulated but on a crt still :)
Rage Racer is still amazing! Easily the best racing game announcer to this day! I love that particular track, especially the ascent up the mountain into the tunnel!!!!🌹

So much nostalgia from 1997! All I ever played was Rage Racer, Porsche Challenge and GTA! Take me back to 1997 please. I’d do anything to play on this demo again for the first time. No phones, no internet, no social media. Just the PlayStation in the 1990s 😫❤️
Watching these vids has got me buying Demo 1 off eBay, having fun playing it on my ps1 all over again!

As a kid, kurushi scared the shit out of me. I think it was the announcer guy that scared me the most. Lol.
+Roz Turner Yeah, Kurushi/Intelligent Qube is one of the hardest puzzle games IMO.
It was ominous as all hell. I only played the demo, but I watched a let's play of it not long ago and they had added some really corny music. Not sure if you can turn it off on the options cos it totally runs the vibe.

Ended up owning all these games , collecting the magazine's and demos back in the day was amazing wish we could go back.
At 4 years old, playing NFS Porsche Challenge over and over again, never managed to finish one lap, but thoroughly enjoyed it. Now 18 years of age, hardcore sim-racer on Rfactor with steering wheel and pedals :D I love reminiscing the roots of my love for racing!
Porsche Challenge was brutal. I'd be lucky to catch the yellow or green car, let alone the red one.

Porsche Challenge is not a NFS game. The Need for Speed game that only had Porsches was released a couple of years after Porsche Challenge, and it was called Porsche Unleashed, or Porsche 2000 (depending on the system and region)

The CD had this black surface - it looked like future! I loved that demo and the ps1-time.

Ah, the nostalgia. That being said, I could've sworn that Lifeforce Tenka, Rage Racer, and Rapid Racer had omnipresent music whenever I played them.
They did. The disc used for this video was probably damaged because at 8:30 the audio starts skipping, and subsequent demos have no music.
Wow still remember these games and that demo disc, still have it to this day.
Back in the day when u bought a ps1 that was so expansive that u used this demo a whole month (the demo felt like a full game by itself)
1998 memories
Would love to return bk to 1990s where I started my gaming life on Amiga but SNES was the first console that hooked me on addiction. No social media, no UA-cam, just a simple gaming magazines, few with demos and the Gamesmaster TV programme. Amazing childhood, man.

Might just be me but i prefer these graphics and gameplay over anything in the last 20 years, they were made with real soul and passion unlike todays companies who rush games out for the sole purpose of money

lol same, it was hella confusing and all of the sudden that countdown showed up and it was over.
Probably the demo was only for some gameplay action and you would know more in the full game, but I never got it.
@@AdioAurel I know right? It was definitely showing the gameplay itself rather than strategy. If anything i found it more interesting. It was a freaky demo, made better by developers releasing content before it was totally perfected.

It could be a .SEQ midi format but i think is .XA :-)
