I've been a builder for many years and have seen quite a fair bit of sheds. The plans in ryan's package ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxB7IXYxLzb_Ichhe45zM3Im5xfEiSp9vB have some of the nicest looking sheds i've seen in a while.
I would have made the room into a dining area. You can always sit around the table and chat or play board games, then clear the table when it's time to eat. Someone else mentioned you wouldn't have to carry all the food into another room, also, setting the table and clearing it to the sink would also make more sense if it's all in one room.
I agree, walking food to the other room is too far not to mention the European laundry is too little for a suburban space...
And the sink is so far away from the cooking stove... if you cook daily, you'll know how impractical it is

Great job on the kitchen Bonnie stand out design ! but.....I must agree with the other comments ...a round dining table in that spot instead of the four chairs and coffee table would have made this kitchen beautiful , functional & social
Seams like this is a launge area. All those dining rooms are out of trand now. Not my grandma kitchen @ I love it and want it myself. But laundry room has to be closer to my bathroom.
@@ludastout2852 Not your grandma's kitchen, but they don't even have a bar-style seating for breakfast or quick meals...not to mention if you actually do family dinners or you host dinners, you have to travel through half your house to set the table & w/ the food multiple times & then back again for clean-up...gonna get really old really fast. A home, first of all, needs to be practical and it's such a big space that w/ a bit more thinking, I think both a lounge and an eating area could've fit in.
It looks very pretty, but it's obvious the designer is not a very practical person, not thinking about her client's comfort very much - no eating area in the kitchen, no pantry (initially), very small & unpractical laundry area (what's the point of that sink there, w/ the other one a couple meters away? a folding area would've been more useful)...that window seat is too high, not really a bench and it has no seat cushion (would've made it even higher, that's probably why, but w/ more thought put into it at the beginning...).
This is my favourite kitchen that you’ve done, the curves and colour make it feel like a modern 50’s diner.

Seriously this is the only home channel/show that I have watched without any drama at all just pure great design solutions, great music vibes and aussie accents hahaha l just love it ❤❤❤
Beautiful but not practical. The Island has no bankers to sit. Will people eat with the plates on the legs? But the colors are perfect and the design of the kitchen is amazing.

That laundry would drive me insane....I need a whole room! LOVE the kitchen...just not sure how practical it is specially for a family home.
I do not like a laundry in the kitchen. Let me tell you why. Pubic hairs. They will end up on your kitchen floors along with every single other weird thing to fall out of your clothes. Dry skin, crayons, receipts, and inevitably body hair. I lived with a boyfriend and his laundry was in the kitchen. I did not like dirty clothes on the kitchen counter tops or on the kitchen floor. Whenever I would clean the counter or sweep the floor I felt like I swept the floor of a barber shop. There was just entirely too much hair on the kitchen floor. It was disgusting!
I agree I don't want my laundry in the kitchen ever. We don't do that in the USA if we can possibly help it. Only Apartments would have that not big huge houses. Just saying.
The collective of the projects that I have viewed from your team, has two main points that I resonate with ( and will insist on for my next home, here in the US). Each room is welcoming. THAT is how an oasis ( which every home SHOULD be) feels, like stepping into the entrance of a large spa. Your senses just let a deep breath of a gentle “ ahhhhh” go . A sense of relief. The other aspect is that the white causes the larger rooms and entrances etc to feel ETHEREAL. Why do so many decorators and home owners who self decorate, miss these obvious points? I am looking online at homes in N. Idaho and NW Montana and there are some rooms where the floor, ceiling and all walls are brown, like a dark cave. I can take one look at most of the homes online in these regions and KNOW why people are depressed. Insane how many people live in depressed homes. Are guidance people doing anything about this?( rhetorical ).

A slide out shelf between the drier and washing machine would be extremely handy.
In my own very modest unit I built a washing machine stand 510mm high with a push to open/close slide out shelf for the laundry basket. The shelf is made from a pine tabletop, and the sliders need 50mm of vertical space.
An extra 50mm between the two appliances for a shelf that comes out 550mm would make that top appliance so much easier to load and unload.

Absolutely stunning! When I heard the 'noir' word I was very afraid - but no fear, the end result is utterly gorgeous. (And I don't generally say that!)
OMG, I love this kitchen! If I look at all the individual elements and colours I'd say "no way, rose" but when it comes together, wow! It hasn't got that sterile kitchen look. I love the softness of the rounded island. And the sitting nook, who would think this would work instead of the the usual dining table. This will be my inspiration for my kitchen 'do-over'. I reckon I've watched this 5 times. I seriously love it.
If that were my home and I walked into that kitchen I would fall over DEAD from shock hahah. One of the most beautiful kitchens I've ever seen! I LOVE the green color of the island! Stunning!

So, when I clicked on the video I thought it was just another kitchen reno. I had no idea this show was based out of Sydney, Australia! The thumbnail drew me in bc of the color of the island. I have to say, I was not disappointed. Kitchens should have more color. Now THIS is how you do a kitchen!!! Bonnie girl knows how to turn a kitchen into a wow factor. I was speechless at the final result. I just want to stare at it all day. Well done!

Beautiful.......love the mix of the green and the black against the white back drop. Not really a colour person myself, but love seeing it in other peoples' homes.
I love that little nook beside that large asymmetrical window. Also love that black box as you called it as it really stands out and all those white cabinets seem invisible in the photo at first glance. The large area in front of the kitchen can be a dining area as one commenter have said but the cafe idea that you did also makes it an interesting one. I do feel like the cafe vibe too. :) Can't wait to watch the full transformation of the house.

I love you all!!! I agree with most here that something a bit more practical in the kitchen side space would work better. I also thought when you said the island would be a different shape that you were going to over hang the long side of the island with a curve, which would have provided room for seating. Also I thought more color would have helped the design especially to draw ones eye up beyond the black box, like some plants or something. All the white did seem quite stark. I'm certainly glad the other lady spoke up about the needed pantry and that she chose such great appliances! Maybe more corroboration among the three would provide a bit more excellent results? and yes, it's painful waiting as long as we do between episodes but I'm VERY thankful to get to watch! I love the energy and style of the show! I'm addicted!

Beautiful! Obsessed with the soft green and the beautiful gold detailing with the countertops. I agree that I think a dining area is much more functional and preferable. I also don’t think that laundry rooms should ever be in the kitchen. 😬 but beautifully done.

lots of pretty details, and I love the energy of these ladies working together, but this kitchen..... has to be one of the worst layouts I have ever seen. I would be so mad about having a lack of counter space with that dark cabinet taking up the whole counter and being forced to cook standing in the corner....
