Hello! Just to clarify, 1.1oz is the actual material spceification - so the weight of the material per square yard. The poncho actually weighs 10.5oz if the large size of this poncho. Hope this helps, ATB
Ah yes course, I'm a metric guy myself. 304 grams is the actual weight on my scales fully packaged. And I even took a picture of the oz (it was 10.7oz) but I kept referring to the text on the stuff sack 🙈. Well spotted!
@@UK_Outdoors. I ordered one via Amazon last year. When it arrived it was a different size to advertised. I complained and OneWind Customer Services responded and sent me a freebie for my troubles and the fact that the advert was wrong. When they sent me the freebie, the sizes they told me were wrong and then they tried telling me I was measuring it wrong! I measured it like all other ponchos are that I own and knew I was measuring it right. At least I got a freebie. What I would say if anyone reads this who is ordering via Amazon, please note that the sizes specified may not be correct. I also note that another advert they currently have for another product is incorrect. Be warned! ATB
Never leave home without a poncho if some kind. I always have at least two single use ones as extras in my kit. The single use ones make amazing back pack covers. Take the poncho tie the hood closed put over your pack, then reach in through the arm slits and pull the back pack shoulder straps through put it on your back. You have weather proof back pack covers.
Good review, I decided to buy one because I've been looking for an old one (and because I like looking sexy). What is the overall build quality like, stitching, seams, tie-off points etc?
I have a few poncho tarps. They make excellent day shelters to sit under with the dog. I've slept under them a few times sans bug net and been eaten alive by the bastard insects. I love England so very much.
Not sure about those toggles on the wrist, gonna be getting caught on everything you touch, climbing over gates/fences, suppose if you are just sitting still waiting for the rain to pass but on the move no.
Just ordered one thanks for sharing.
