For the dumbbell overhead presses, doing them standing with a clean is where the fat gripz shine IMO. Also, as a person with wrist issues and elbow tendinitis, the fat gripz help due to the extra surface area. Solid video!

Never seen that level of dedication before!
I thought for sure they would be on the sides of a toilet seat🚽 next!😅😅😅
I died at the morning sunshine curtain open 😂
Honestly. Didn’t think those foam looking things would work
I started using these mid-size gripz about 14 months into my natty training (bicep exercises only). My forearms have grown at the same rate as my upper arm, which when you think about the potential for growth in each is pretty amazing! Pulling sets of 270lbs 25 rep shrugs with no straps and no grip issues at all!
why the hell do you do bicep exercises only
@@prodrt1 The grips only for bicep exercises! 🤣
hows the progress as of for now?
I have had the extreme versions for a few years and a really do like using them every now and then. One of my favorite things to do is use them on pushing exercises because at the bottom of the movements you can really get an extra inch or so of ROM and stretch your chest and shoulders
the forearm difference between the left and right in the beginning is hilarious
Awesome video. Bought a set right after watching this. 👍🏽

A good tip for when doing pull ups/chin ups with fat gripz. When reach muscle failure do a drop set without fat gripz
I got my fat gripz about a week ago, loving them so far
I lobe the fact that it is 2 different arms on the thumb nail
Farmer carries deadlfts and hammer curls made my forearms grow like weeds
You should've done hammer curls with the fat grips or wrist curls, that will get your forearms hugeee.
I really appreciate you giving this a try. Maybe I had more noticeable gains as I used them for my deadlifting and my powerlifting movements. I definitely had to lower the weight, but after the second and third week the progress really stacked up.
I enjoy them for pushing movements, though getting them right in the hand can be a bit awkward. For bicep curls there's no comparison, you can take the same weight and take the grips off for a drop set. I used them for my tricep pushdowns, OHP, row variations, on the machines, on my cables.
Forearms are one of the most neurologically dependent muscle groups, and a great way to test your neuro system in the morning is with a dead hang. Actually "growing" them is fairly difficult, as you'll typically burn out mentally before actually stressing your forearm muscles.
I only use fat gripz for the dead hang, but after a while you need additional weight. I think it's very good for training especially the thumb 👍
of course your not growing with isometric moves. try proper excercises for ur forearms where u go trrough a range of motion
I use them for everything except my top sets on bench or deadlift. They don’t seem to hold me back. I use the same weights I would have used without them. I just have to squeeze much harder.
During bench, I feel my chest a loooot more. It’s interesting. It also really hits my shoulders.
Do you put them on your vehicle's steering wheel?
crazy im like half your size but my forearms are actually a little bigger than yours at the start, just goes to show that muscle built through daily activities can be huge.
it would have been interesting to see you do fat grips for a month or even longer.
I use grip rippers, I find they feel more comfortable on your hands because they are curved.
I wasn’t gonna watch this video, but then I saw the fat grip on the mug and was hooked. 10/10
The fat grip pull-ups are my wrestling secret
I use my Fat Gripz for floor press and it pumps man boobs much harder. I use Fat Gripz EXTREME for EZ bar curls, and straps on my deadlift. To me deadlift isn't a grip exercise and I'm working my grip during my Fat Gripz set. :)
Oh no...you're one of those that do curls in the squat rack...REEEEE!!!
Do relaxation techniques of Dr. Israel Regardie (i have his book narrated on my channel) and other authors for one week. See if you can reach the deepest level of relaxation possible.
Bro I use shelves for pull-ups.
Now imagine using it for an entire 6 week period
Came for the experiment results, stayed for the comedy
But you got to focus never gets old 😂
FatGripz tea cup handle holds... def gonna start these 😂
should have tested normal exercises and compared before and after, thats what changed to me the most when I was using Fat Gripz all the time years ago, after I tried some exercises without it I could lift more weight than before, maybe because in my case the grip gave out first....
A real test should be longer than 1 week. Test after 90 days at least
man, this challenges are great. but you should give yourself more time to recover before retesting, you are probably weaker those following days of that insane week of training.
Yesiir
The gripz on the steering wheel 😂😂😂
My biceps have just as much muscle volume as that. Mine look a bit bigger because their is some fat around them. His muscles are long as well. In addition, the most muscle your ever going to grow on your whole arm in a week is like 13grams/ml for each arm.
Fat grips look comfortable as fuck!
great video!!

Now doing 1000 hand grips a day? Lol

That pre-workout looks delicious lol
I'm very confused with view count to subscribers...
Uhmm does no one saw the flickering light right behind the wall? Or I'm just being paranoid see at 3:09-3:17
Its not about the grip on pull ups , its because they're rotating
To me it seems, if you want to train forearms and grip, you should just go climbing/bouldering, you’ll work more and have some nice fun doing it…
That's kind of dangerous no?
One thing that you can actually overdo is fat grip training to often. Wrecked my brachial before had to lay off all pushing exercise’s for couple of months.
Do you suggest only using it .5 times as frequently
"week"... Including rest days tho...
Serious question for anyone but does anybody's wrist hurt after using a fatter grip? Or is it just me? (Granted I made my weights and I use 1-1/2 steel straight pipe as dumbbells)
should have also measures the wrists !! imo !
Fast
Like for the forearm grip things please?
What's Up
nice leg workout ahhaha
I was born with birth defects in both of my hands and wrists that I don't have full range of motion and cannot form a full fist. I cannot bench press and lifting heavy dumbells hurts my wrists. I tried these gripz, and let me tell you, they absolutely works. They made it easier to grip the dumbells and increase my forearm and finger strength. I have both the blue ones and the smaller black ones.
Same defects in mine too
I know right It's the same for me as a 6'4 guy my hand can grab a basket ball with ease. Fat gripz helped me finally lift heavier dumbbells and I went from 45kg for 8 to 50kg for 8 in a month after plateuing for 4 months.
@@mikakoivisto6504 on what exercise? i'm 6'3 and considering buying fat gripz, which version do you use? my hands are like 9 inches long, most gloves even in the xl size don't even fit them.
Hi dude I am from India in Tamilnadu in Trichy city I am your biggest fan
Raking leaves with the fat gripz seems like something an old trainer would make their young trainee do to prepare for a fight or something
The results make sense imo, you did not do wrist/forearm hypertrophy specific exercises which could have given greater size gains. Instead you trained static/ grip strength which resulted in the grip gains. Love the content.
What would be some specific wrist and forearms hypertrophy exercises? I really need to find some...
@@frapeschriswrist curls, reverse wrist curls, farmers walks
They won’t spin if you keep the open seam part to the inside of your hand. Your hand squeezing it is what prevents it from spinning. Cheers.
I bought a pool noodle, wrapped it in duck tape, cut it into 8 equal pieces, then put a slit down each one to make my own home-made fat grips. They work pretty well and I have 3 extra pairs when one set wears out. Plus when they all wear out I just have to spend another dollar and make more.
I have done something similar in the past but they are not the same by far, if you ever see someone using fat grips, ask if you can try them and you will see, they don't compress at all while pool noodles do, the only grip that is better than an actual fat grip is an axle bar but that is harder to take to the gym :-p
Yeahh.. this is not the same just being cheap at this point. Fatgripz doesn’t wear out really either.
Theyre not the same, pool noodles are soft and will compress alot when you grip them. However the rubber that real fat grips are made of will not compress and is far more challenging to hold on.
@@MrInzombia yeah they are definitely not the same but for me they work well. I like the fact they compress since they are much bigger than what fat grips are they need to compress some. I just wrapped a couple layers of duct tape around it first to make them a little more solid and they work great.
I bet he uses it when he plays with himself too
Disgusting.
Honestly not surprised by the result at all. In only one week of training, you should not expect to make any monumental gains in grip strength/endurance. Also, they aren’t meant to use on every single exercise with a bar. I know you figured that out and talked about it, but there is certainly a right way to use them. Keep it up though!
I have the same blue fatgrips to train forearms at the gym. I get the best pump doing wrist curls & reverse wrist curls alternating them without much rest. I started with a 60 lbs bar & work down to a 30 lbs bar. Be sure to do clean reps & pause 1-2 secs flexed, that's what works for me. I also do 1/2 curls & reverse curls without going all the way to the bottom to keep tension. This will blowup your forearms. For grip strength I have bought grippers, fingerboard & allot of other stuff that helps, but hanging I think is good & one arm hangs are the best. The first time I tried to one arm hang I couldn't even grip the bar at all because my grip was so bad. After 2 years of training I could hang for over 1 minute for each arm. I now can one arm hang while holding an 80 lbs dumbbell in the other hand. My forearms are much larger than 2 years ago. I started training to try to beat the local 2 minute hang challenge that uses a large 2" diameter rotating bar. After failing the first time @ 1:15 & my forearms hurt for 2 days. It took 3 months of specific training to beat the hang challenge. I have now beat the hang challenge 10 times & my forearms never hurt anymore after training them so much. :)
Do u use fat grips to every Excerise or biceps only??
@envy_fr I used them mainly for wrist curls & reverse curls to train for a 2 minute hang challenge that I beat all the time.
I suppose it gives you something to grip on to when everything else slips through your hands very entertaining bro as it is always have a wonderful Christmas 🌲 and a happy new year love from the UK 🇬🇧👍🤸💪🌲🌲🌲🌲
You had me laughing with fat gripz with your coffee cup. Very funny. Just heard about fat gripz this morning. I understand that Jay Cutler was using it 9 years ago. Great upload. You are so humorous which is great.Sure I will eventually order it for myself. Much Joy and Abundance. To your Health and Wellness✨💪🏾
Put them on your willy. Made my forearms look like Popeye's after 2 weeks.
Lmao I bet they did, its a good tool! My forearms have also blown up from using these things when I do chin ups, hammer curls etc...
Completely off topic for the video but 3:11 the lights flickered
Love those one week challenges, keep em coming. Do some one month too !
I just got into this grip thing and I bought a few different grippers just to test out. The CoC1 is def the hardest one I have, the last 5-9mm are really tough, I can only do it with a dry hand with assistance from the left (the left hand helps getting it in position), it literally rips my skin away..even the letting it go part takes skill
You'll build up calluses and it won't hurt anymore. I workout mainly with heavy kettlebells with some barbell thrown in for deadlifts, squats ect. And my fingers and palms have pads of calluses. And if you have these fat gripz, try doing deadlifts with them. That's really hard. Another thing that's great for grip strength is called "twist yo wrist" it looks like a big yoyo, you wrap the cord around a plate and then spool it up by twisting your hands. It works the muscles in a wierd way. I'm a mechanic and the increased ability to strongly manipulate objects in awkward positions is awesome. Oh and one more thing you can do with your CoC is hold them upside down and do reps that way. Works the muscles differently.
@@Bloodbain88 thnx for the reply. I remember seeing this pro arm wrestler. He does those wrist exercises and it's probably the reason he's a pro. I just have to let my skin heal for a few days before I can do it again. I also tried measuring the amount of weight needed to close the coc1. Mine topped out at like 35kg (measured probably mostly from the tip), which ofc gives me a mechanical advantage but a good indication as I did the same with the other grippers. There's a huge difference in numbers. According to a grip meter I bought, I could do 75kg..according to that, the coc1 must be easy..it's not
@@X41N3 The other thing to remember with grippers is that they are easier for people with really big hands. I have average size hands, they're just really wide, but short, and it took me much more work to be able to close the #2 than my friend who is a fcking giant. His hand swallows the grippers whole. He can put a fat grip on a bar and still wrap his fingers all the way around it, the same way I can a naked bar.
@@Bloodbain88 same with a guy I met once. I only had my 45kg "gold gripper" on me and it was nothing for him. Most normal people already have an issue closing it completely, he was the only person that just did it the way I did it. His hands are however very big, they just freak you out the first couple of times you see it. I'm sure he can also do the coc1. Currently I'm the only super skinny guy I know who can do this, but I have to say it's 50% technique. Cause I can't force it closed without getting it just right. My waist for example is like 27", try finding a 28-36 sized pants haha
@@X41N3 lol that just means you'll show muscle gains better! It's hard to be as strong or stronger than a really large man though. A guy I used to work with had never lifted a weight in his life, but could close my CoC 2.5 with ease. His nickname was Mongo (or sometimes "the ogre") He then said "can you do this?" And proceeded to pinch the terminal of a large truck battery between his thumb and pointer finger and lift it off the ground to chest high. The strength of just that pinch grip had to be crazy.
I love your content bro. Keep up the grind🔥
I have been doing grip training for a few months now before you made this video. It is very mental and you were not focusing enough. Really focus and you can exert more grip strength.
Pigmie has 2million subscribers but not many people watch his vids sad
Coc grippers do vary a lot in resistance, according to the rgc calibration. One of my 2.5 is almost as hard as my number 3 gripper. Whereas my second 2.5, is a bit harder than the coc 2.
Dang
But how did you get CoC in India ?
Wtf
Why are they called "coc"....that's painful
Coc grippers, lol
The pinky up though… 🤣
COC can vary in strength by a lot I have a 2.5 with a RGC of 138. They have 1’s that are harder than 1.5’s and 2.5’s harder than 3’s. That’s one of the reasons why RGC was developed so all grippers can be ranked across the board. Love your videos
too much fart noises
Agreed.
This, hate the fart noises.
But you gotta focus
The 1 could just be stiff. When left cold they seize up
This guy looks like a buff Andrew Garfield
Your using the crushers upside down
If you switch it the other way your more dominant fingers will have more of a leaver to pull on
I literally bought these yesterday, the key is to do it slowly, quality over quantity it made my forearm bigger and made my grip strength high my god these are amazing
Phat grip on a cup of coffee + phat grip on the car steering wheel = sub & like!! Power!!👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿
If the bar you are putting it on is too narrow they will spin. To stop this you can have bits of material that you place on the bar to widen it's diameter. I have also used bicycle inner tube, cut lengthways it just snaps onto the bar, and I have used sponge material too. It usually just needs a very small increase.

Do shin conditioning for 7 day it's make your bones pain less like if hit your shin by accident with any tips of hard object you can't feel pain
I have the CoC and Heavy Grip, there are some real differences both on their own and between them. I have a HG 250 that is easier then a 200. CoC seems to be harder, even if the weight is equal to a HG.
Is there a side effect using this?
Gains. On a serious note, you should always stretch your wrists thoroughly before doing exersice that require grip strength, so that you don't get carpal tunnel syndrome or something

That's an interesting video bro. Now I will challenge my grip by doing exrcises with dumbbells and Cloth Grips that I have lying around in my house.

@@roslenev ayyy, you know good music! Lol
I honestly like to use a thicker pull up bar for workouts because I feel like I can engage more of muscles, I think those Fat GripZ don't seem to be as grippable as a thick pull up bar because they're cushiony. If you're really trying to improve your grip strength, I would suggest doing dead hangs every day for fun not necessarily to your max all the time, trying one arm dead hangs if you're feeling strong enough to the challenge, including isometrics in your training, parallel bar dip lock out hold, squeezing your fists and flexing all your muscles like Bruce Lee does in training in Return of the Dragon, because all of your muscles are connected like a chain. Handstands can also help your strengthen your wrists and fingers which can also help your grip hold. You mind even find some photos of Bruce Lee using a grip machine with loaded weight on it. And focusing on just your body while you work out, as in no music, no distractions, just your focus on your body so you can push yourself in a healthy way and level up your game. Grip strength is not that hard to attain, just takes some time and there's a lot of useful training. Your body functions well as a whole. At least what I have learned from my own experience.
Thanks man, really well said! 👍
@@mihailmilev9909 Cheers Brother 👍
It requires more mental concentration than anything else because so many muscles need to work together
