Whenever I select “apply as main theme” for a new theme, it only applies to the games view… no matter what theme I choose to apply as main, my platforms Home Screen stays as the default one. Is there an issue here?
All this means is that the custom theme you chose to apply doesn't have a custom view created for the section you are in. Need more explanation, head over to our forums for help.
If by Home view you mean the Game Discovery Center, there's only 1 custom theme that has attempted a view for this, and that theme is not within the Theme Manager. All Custom themes do have a type of Platform view which is what you'd be seeing in the images
@@UnbrokenSoftwareLLC I am confused. I am having the same issue as the guys above. I download a them and apply it as main theme. It gives me a confirmation that the theme has been applied. When I go back the theme has not changed. It does appear that the them in the individual consoles did get changed. How do I get my opening page to change from the Game Discovery Center? Thanks
@@UnbrokenSoftwareLLC I will definitely will. I know its probably a lot of work but are there any plans to revisit some of the early emulation videos like Sega Saturn, PlayStation, Amiga, C64 etc.. Some of these are quite old and updated videos would be a great help for people new to the scene.
Hi there, thanks for the question. We have a detailed FAQ that explains where Big Box themes and where they apply, hopefully this clears up your question, but if not let us know and we'll be happy to get you sorted: 🔗 forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/88521-faq-big-box-themes-and-where-they-apply/
Merhaba güzel bir eğitim video olmuş. Benim bir sorunum var bigbox'da V ile C klavye tuşlarıyla tema ve platform görünüşleri değiştiremiyorum. Neden acaba?
You should be able to access it by going to Big Box's system menu, then `Manage Themes > Avaliable - All`. However you can also grab it from the forum here: forums.launchbox-app.com/files/file/1080-unified/
Sorry to hear this. Have you made sure you have videos in order for them to display within the theme? No videos come bundled with Unified, it uses videos from within your own setup.
When I switch to any theme other than the default I get error messages thrown 😭 "an error occurred while parsing the custom systemview" Anyone know of a fix?
The community forums may be a better place to ask for support - forums.launchbox-app.com/ However, custom theme related issues are most commonly caused by LaunchBox running on file systems that do not support symlinking (exFAT is a common culprit). On the forums you can post screenshots to help with the investigation to hopefully find out the root cause.
@@UnbrokenSoftwareLLC thank you. I bought the PC from someone else but my guess is that the drive was formatted using exfat. Which format is recommended for compatibility with bigbox using an ssd
If your Home Screen is the Game Discovery Center, this is normal and expected. The Game Discovery Center is new and not a lot of themes support it yet, so even if you use a theme for all your platform / game views, if the theme doesn't specifically support the Game Discovery Center (which most of them don't right now), then you'll see the default for that view
Videos can be added manually in LaunchBox. Edit a game and go under Media > Videos and click the Add button. There is also EmuMovies integration which provides support to bulk download video snaps from their servers and add them automatically to all your games that they have a video snap for. Just note that EmuMovies has a paid membership to gain access to their video snap library.
@@UnbrokenSoftwareLLC i added them manually yesterday in bulk after I made the post but I do not see any integration to add them in bulk from emu movies. The video snaps for games is something a tutorial may be helpful for others. There isnt much information on it on you tube.

Keep up the great work guys!! Sometimes these basic videos are what people like me need, unfortunately I have no idea what im doing 🥴.
Good to know. There's definitely more to come, so keep an eye open.

NTFS is the recommended file format.
@@UnbrokenSoftwareLLC just checked and that's actually what it's using. NTFS (m.2 SSD)

How do I put custom background music in the themes?
While you can't have theme specific background music, you can add background music to Big Box within the LaunchBox\Music\Background folder.
👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
💪😁🔥🔥🔥
Try not to say Emulation Station when you are coming from Recalbox or Batocera. 😂
This puts retroarch to shame
