Everyone is loving Artisan Pure but my favorites of the kind are Bleu and Acqua. Blue on my skin reminds me of Irish Spring Soap and Sung Homme slightly.
Cool little list. Curious to sniff the wicker furniture one. I have tried the "black" Varvato´s. Its fig based , black bottle with a silver cap and a black leather strap around it. I think you have reviewed it, not sure. Whenever I don´t know what to go for, I reach out to that one. Its got some balls, I´ll tell ya... Not mindblowing or anything, but it does smell quite unique. You know, sometimes you don´t want to smell niche lol nice lil ol varvato´s fig leather based juice will do the magic!
I JUST gave my gf a sample of Aura that i got by mail. Hoping she will like it. I have a decant of John Varvatos Artisian Pure and I Looooove it! Amazing summer scent
Nice list.I do own and love Artisan Pure , but retail worthy - i don't think so.No one should pay retail for John Varvatos fragrances. In 6 months you can get online every new JV for ~1/2 of the retail price , and in a year at ~1/3.Bought a tester bottle for $29. SOTD vintage Dolce&Gabbana Pour Homme
How do you feel about purchasing fragrances from a boutique shop or even a shaving website. The website Wetshaving products has some interesting and good scents you should try.
I tried the artisan pure at a retailer recently. I didn't like the opening much. It dried down to something spectacular but was gone in a few hours. This was with one spray on the back of my hand.
Mark Ayres thanks for all tips!mixing the lotion and fragrance together is a very interesting idea. I'll give that a go. I sprayed my clothes with BR 540 earlier this week and kept going back to smell my shirt over and over.
I'm getting the same performance. This is despite moisturising. It's pleasant but a rather regrettable buy. I could've achieved the same effect with one spray of Montana Graphite and a splash of 4711.
Yeah, JV scents! After paying about $30 for all my other JVs, it's tough to shell out $90 for Artisan Pure, so I'll be waiting for that demand to fall off a bit. I got 3 compliments immediately in two different places the first day I wore Artisan Blu though I thought I over sprayed it (6 or more). Very clean, very soapy, white floral and green scent to me. It's not my original input, but it really does smell like Irish Spring soap in a bottle, only higher quality.
I feel the saaaaame way about Aura Dave. Definitely appreciate the subtle references to the chakra system, but the scent throws me for a loop. At least it's different! Haven't tried the EdT, but you can already tell from the notes that it's safer. lol I'm a Mugler fanboy - I don't want safe!
I think I'll end up liking this one. The sharpness throws me off a bit. But overall weird and good. 😀 I think they did a good job introducing something that isn't safe. That's at least a positive. Now let's wait for the endless flanker rush. lol
I want to give you an online high five and massive kudos for being one of the only people reviewing the Azzaro Wanted fragrance that actually knew that the top looks like a cylinder of a revolver and not the barrel of a gun. I can't tell you how many times I've heard that and I just facepalm. Haha. Great review as always, keep up the awesome work!
Hello! I really like the Allure sport by Chanel, however, it is just a cologne. Do you have any recommendations that smell similar to that lemon/citrus scent? Thanks!
I think Artisan Pure is stunning, especially the drydown. I have the 125ml bottle. My most recent purchase is the new Gentleman Givenchy Eau De Parfum. It's like a less sweet and aromatic Valentino Uomo Intense. Really nice, more versatile than VUI.
Enjoyed, but my two-cents: John Varvatos and Vintage...yes, but anything JV Artisan...big No. Wanted.. and flankers...no. Many better in this genre IMO. Still, these are widely available and worth sniffing. Cheers.
Ah! C´mon man ! I think this guy totally legit. He has impecable oratory, he is never kissing ass and understands the products very well, plus it shows he has fun while doing it.
What do you think of these scents?

Bud aventus is the best
Sir, it has been 12 days to cancel the order. I have not yet received my money back. I did a text but did not even reply.
Artisan pure is NO to me, it smell like cheap women splash cologne from grocery store

Flower bomb is quite a bit intense, at least when I spray tested it on my skin haha, I'd love to try Artisan Pure though
Have four JV fragrances. Both you mentioned plus Dark Rebel and Platinum. Love them and also recommend. Goal is to own his complete line.
His whole line is really good and worth owning, I think.

seanautube actually u can get it for 35-40$
How do you search for sales? I use Google "shopping" and Ebay to try and get an idea of what the lowest prices might be.
seanautube ask jesse aboyage. He said that he bought it for 35$ in his recent haul video.

Love the list! I have yet to buy a JV fragrance due to longevity issues, but I may just give it a go (they're inexpensive enough).

I'll keep waiting for Rochas' Globe to appear in this series.
Great review 👌👌👌
Artisan pure has 0 performance tho
Enjoyed, but my two-cents:

Wanted.. and flankers...no. Many better in this genre IMO.

Artisan pure mad me and my gf almost vomit in macys
Wanted by night is fucking disgusting. It's got some kind of note to it I cannot stand.
Artisan Blue has some of the most pathetic performance ever. And it smells generic
DoubleAIV Every Varvatos fragrance I've tried has weak performance and projection
U talk cinnamon too fast, its sound like semen
1:06 what in the world was so funny about that? These forced laughs are kinda weird. Love the vids otherwise though (sorry for the annoying critique)
No forced laughs in my videos. If you don't think it's funny that a fragrance bottle is imitating wicker furniture, then I can't explain it to you.

do you belong to the fragrancearmy? ;)
