- New Scooter! This is a goped XPed that was rebuilt from the ground up, and modified to accept a 36cc Rovan/Rofun engine! It eats hills for breakfast.
This video was filmed/edited on a time crunch, but summer is right around the corner and more quality content will be coming soon!

2023 im 33 years old just oder a brand new g290 sport gO Ped it was my joy as a teen and made me really happy n decided to buy a new one
Congratulations!! That's awesome. I drooled over them as a kid them bought one when I was 22. I regret nothing.
I have a stock gsr sport that just has aftermarket sprockets and it tops out at 38mph and is fast AF.. as soon as you hit the gas within seconds it's at top speed
I've got a stock non-sport liquimatic and it tops at 47kmh. Few mods tho. Direct drive custom made in a lathe. Rebuilt the whole engine and carb and custom built intake with horn design to push in more air.
This is a sweet build dude! Nice to see it all come together. Have you thought about the GSRs at all?
Nice i have a xped havent rode it in awhile.
Thanks! Get back on it!
I am jealous for those v brake forks.
Sweet
I want one
Hell yeah I have an Xped I ride it everyday currently just put a g290 rc engine on it with a .875 spindle it's a little too much but so much fun..lol id say it goes about 40 if I pushed it there
That's awesome! I bet that's terrifying😂
sasukeninja1000 40? Nah maybe low to mid 30s unless you weigh 100 lbs
I just bought a chrome V brake fork from coastped’s website and also a HDA style carburetor conversion billet intake manifold for my 39cc water cooled pocket bike dead end project lol. I should probably get an ADA Goped sport frame and build a decent sport with like a g320 or g340 and port it for a cylinder reed because I have an rc cylinder reed, make like a 6th port. Maybe the V brakes would help stop from over 30-35 mph then
That sounds wild. Yes get the brake setup it stops MUCH better than the stock setup
That thing looks badass!!
Thanks!
Np :D alsoooo with the silencer did it make it go slower or faster or is it the same?
It's pretty much the same! No noticeable loss in performance.
Thank you for saying i was a little curios lol
If you watch our "GoPed vs. Lime" video, at around 1:25 there's a short clip of a burnout. May do one in the future!
Dude this build is coming along nicely....your gonna crap yourself when you get yourself a GSR.
Thanks! And yeah that's how I feel too! Hopefully gonna try someone's out then build one around June
@@hondayamahafan I just built a trail ripper with a 63cc on it....its pretty nuts. Gets up to 45mph+ like nobodies buisness. You'll be hooked on air tire after you ride one.
Is it one of those kasei 63s? That's the engine I'm probably gonna use.
@@hondayamahafan Yup, and make sure you get it from PNW Porting. Join GopedNation on FB if you havent already!
Yeah I'm in GopedNation, GoPed 'merica, and PNW porting. I see it all!
I see a brand new sport with an All custom ADA engine with carb etc, sick pipe on it, custom deck to match the engine, custom bars that match as well.. it's owned buy some dude who races an it's a brand new ped for 800$.. I need to get it asap!!!
Do more videos on this thing! Pretty badass! If you didn’t know, there is a center bleed version of the Sikk Torque pipe which is quieter then the end bleed version you have here with the silencer. If you get a center bleed and put the silencer on it, it’ll be much quieter then this setup with an endbleed pipe and silencer. I bought my 2 gopeds 6 and 7 years ago being a Sport and GSR Cruiser. Both are bone stock and I’ve been wanting to do mods on them for atleast 4 years now, but haven’t got around to it until about a month ago with the sport being first of which I put a G290RC on it compared to the stock G23LH it had before, along with a center bleed Sick Torque pipe, and some wider ADA 22.5” riser bars so it’s more controllable. Next I’m doing my GSR cruiser of which it will still have its stock GPL290 engine on it, but with an HP carb, modified Pacsales GSR40 pipe and also wider bars.
Nice... Keep an eye out for a Bigfoot Goped there not as sketchy as the Goped sport... I got mine running around 38 mph
Whats your bf set up?
Just got a fully modded 7.7hp g320 from OBR. Seems like a monster lol. I’m hoping it doesn’t have any trouble putting the power down with the spindle drive. Do you have any trouble with it slipping/wheel spin? I’m hoping this thing will get to 40mph +
It’s for a super Bigfoot with a third bearing and no clutch
That sounds wild! I've never experienced and slippage on dry pavement. I use a beadlock wheel because otherwise the tire warps and stretches but with the beadlock it's fine. I have no experience with bigfoots but if you've got the 3rd bearing and lockdown kit you should be fine!
@@sebass94sa you should be good but I would get the clutch if you can, it's so much easier then push starting or pull starting with the wheel up
I just got my reed OBR 34 motor but that’s going into my 5th scale!! Thinking about ordering something else from OBR. Want my Xped to be a monster!!
I’m think on getting same motor for my goquad. You took the clutch kit off and bolted right up? You have install video?
It does NOT bolt right up. The mounting holes are spaced out wider on these G320 based motors. The largest that will fit with 0 modification is 30.5 I think
It will fit without modification if you use a clutch kit
@@hondayamahafan yea using clutch kit. Awesome just ordered the 30.5cc the 36cc the 45cc and the 71cc going to be making a lot of videos of them
Damn sounds wicked. Good luck!
Can you send me the links to those parts you bought
Have you heard of a Case reed motor? If you are looking for the ultimate in small motor goodness look into Bartalone racing engines or oneil brothers. The power almost doubles or triples when you add the case reed block. I have one on a bigfoot and the thing is an absolute monster. I am looking into getting a Pro 60 soon but for the mean time I have a sport that my buddy just gave me so ill build that and maybe we can have a big boy little scooter race I myself am also of the husky variety and I think I can give you a run for your money.,
I have heard of them! Pretty expensive. More than I'm willing to spend on the ped (other projects are higher priority rn) but they look so sick. 4.5hp from a 29cc engine sounds insane! Lol happy to hear another husky boy is out there terrorizing the streets on a small scooter!😂
To fit the motor did you have to drill new holes? Or just enlarge the opening where the crank comes threw? Or both? Pls reply would really appreciate it thank you.
Both. The holes for the motor have to be slotted and the center hole has to be enlarged.
Ok so correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds like the 36 is just slightly bigger to wear drilling new holes wouldn't be worth it so you just slotted them out? Sounds simple enough, im thinking of the new 45cc rovan which I believe is the same crank case.. should be able to pull a 950 spindle and probably kill me😂 can't wait!!! Thanks just subscribed 🤙
Pretty much yeah! I thought about that engine too but it's over $100 more expensive and I think it's prone to over heating. I read a review on an RC site. The 36cc with a .635 pulls 300lbs up a hill pretty easy do depending on your weight it may be enough! Also keep in mind that if you're using new tires you're going to need frame extensions with the larger spindle.
Thanks for subscribing! It really helps us out!
Subscribed! Sweet ped. I have a bigfoot and I was also thinking of putting a 46cc engine on it. Im cool with fabricating a way to mount the engine, but I would still like to run an ada clutch. Would the 46cc still bolt up to the ada clutch?
I see these on ebay.. could I just pull off the clutch and bolt it up to my goped sport??
The 36cc will not bolt directly. You have to modify the frame to fit it. Any of the 30.5 and lower motors will fit with no modifications. Just remove the clutch and the mounting plate.
Hey im about to buy a go ped im 150 just looking to cruise which one do you recommend im looking at gsr cruiser thoughts?
Granted I've never had or even ridden an air tire ped, if you value riding over working on your toy, you need an air tire, chain driven ped. GSR cruiser over a hard tire like a sport or a GSR sport
hondayamahafan ahha ok ye I recently bought one for 65$ got it running sold for 200 I wanna get a new one now are these Motors american ? Or chinnise I see made in America but is that jsut the frame that is made in America
how much horsepower does that engine produce? I am thinking of mounting a Honda GX35 4 stroke 1.3 HP and wondering how it would handle hills.
No idea but probably more than a gx35
@@hondayamahafan thanks for the reply.
Dude where did u get this pullstarttt
Ada or ddm I think
The engine you posted comes with a clutch how do you swap it for a spindle drive?
You just remove the clutch from the crank and remove the adapter plate
@@hondayamahafan really it's that simple?
And will a ada goped pipe fit?
Removing the clutch is that simple. To mount it to the frame, you have to slot the mounting holes because the 36cc engine has slightly wider mounting holes. Also the center cutout needs to be enlarged for the engine to fit into it. Also there is a single washer on all of the engine mounting screws to space the engine properly. It's not very difficult just requires a little trial and error.
Yes any pipe that will fit a regular smaller sport engine will also fit this without modification. Exhaust port is the same size
How did you get the rovan to fit? My 36cc doesn’t fit my Xped frame.
You have to clearance the center hole and slot the mounting holes. The bolt pattern is close, just slightly wider
Watch the latest our latest goped video, at 5:25 you can see the the slotted mounting holes
what did you have to do to get that engine to fit??
Slot the motor mounting holes to be wider. And grind out the center hole so the engine can fit through it
How are you able to push start?
I usually bump start it and then prop it up on my foot or set it on a crate and let it warm up
is that Rovan Still lasting mines not lol Crankshaft broke off.. Spindle drive was spinning freely lol
Yep. Mines still going strong. Did you have a 3rd bearing kit? I read about the weak crankshafts so I installed a 3rd bearing kit from the beginning and dual EPWs
@@hondayamahafan i did wit a Fat AZZ Spindle thats why i think it broke clean off i have a vid on my channel lol... when u guys uploading more dope funny content. that was a setzler correct lol i be on the Voodo ranger air force , aey also i have the head and piston its compression is still strong.. just damn crankshaft broke from .900 black magic spindle
I just bought a .750 spindle and frame extensions. Vid coming soon
@@hondayamahafan hoooyeeeaaahhhh
since ur a big guy, u should get a sell that and buy a gsr43....nice ped tho, i have a similar build..
Yeah, I'm planning on building one over the summer when I've got a little more time and money. Probably won't sell this one though. Too fun!
What pipe are you running on your xped
Sikk Endbleed
What type of gas do you used?
89 ethanol free with echo red armor
what size spindle do you have?
.625 currently. Need axle extensions to fit anything larger
What is the top speed with the 36cc engine??
Fastest I've gone is 25 but that was with a .625 spindle. It can go much faster
@@hondayamahafan have you tried a timing advance rocket key?
That's not silent at all
Indeed
My 29cc x ped would smoke that thing LOL
What spindle you running
@@hondayamahafan I have two spindles I alternate between, a black magic .750 and currently running a .900
Oh lawd you're booking. How fast you hittin
Its fast but yet so dam slow 🤣 my 79cc Peddy Scoot would beat it.
79cc predator? And yeah it's set up to go slow. Thinking about getting a .8 or larger spindle just to see how fast it CAN go on smooth flat ground.
@@hondayamahafan Definitely! That thing has some serious power. Sounds like it could hit 45mph easy.
@@hondayamahafan Amd yes. Its a built 79cc Predator on a Mosquito Hawk 4X Scooter lol she will do 40mph.
That sounds really cool!
Loud and slow. Funny but unpractical.
To much noise.disturbing the village.
