I never understood cheating. Whats the point? I thought the whole point of playing video games was to have fun and enjoy the experience not be a try hard. Cheating is lame af
NB: Finland was not a country in the 19th century, they were part of the Russian Empire, and their laws and criminal code were made official only by the emperor of Russia.
Yeah, there were multiple times when i saw some weird stuff happening in game, like: got instakilled right after spawn at the start of the match, some dude killed my entire squad from the other side of the map with a standard smg/rifle and all of that was headshot. One of my favorite was in a Moscow map, i built a rally inside of a small shack with only one entrance and a small window where you can't crawl inside, i put down some ap mine as well and after i moved a few steps away from there, a guy come out from the same cabin i was a few moments ago, destroying my rally, killing all my troops and not a single ap mine harmed him. Also there is a video on YT that shows a replay from a cheater's perspective, showing that he shooting the ground and getting random kills :)
A finn here. Yes the deathpenalty was lifted in 1949 (for peacetime crimes) and 1972 all together. No mention of beheadings tho. Finnish history is colourfull, but mostly red. Not only in the 19th and 20th century was it violent, but from a millenia back. (swedes and novgorod)
Some previous games were actually accused of selling cheats to evade their own anti cheat programmes. Then once a year they’d change it but even advertise on their cheat sites to not cheat for a two week period. Anyone caught was published to make it look like the company was actually active at trying to stop cheats. Never understood why folk cheat. I’d rather overcome a game and opponents by playing and learning.
very good point! in that case the smart customer strategy is to tell these companies to fuck off and not play their games at all due to ethical problems and also since the same thing will repeat in 5 years.
You have relaxed matches? Man, I wish I could have a comfy time like that. There are several matches (Mostly over the weekend that ive noticed) where there will be one person who is either at #1 or #2 that will tell everyone they suck and that we're losing because no one is doing anything and it just ruins my vibe for the rest of the night. Ill always tell them off but it happens so often that its just highly irritating, not that i wouldn't have expected those types of people to be in the game but even war thunder isnt this bad with these vibe killing brainlets. I sometimes play so late that its only chinese players (I think theyre actually just drunk Americans like me at that time lol) and for some reason we just get annihilated. I feel like the early morning hours is when the russians and chinese come on to cheat but the cheaters are never on my team so we just keep losing - which i dont care i just want to build killboxes with my engineers and help out the points not necessarily charge into them and have to respawn every 20 seconds. Oh, and additionally I think if they could expand the maps by 200%, it could slow down the gameplay enough to where it would be more beneficial to be methodical and tactically sound instead of just the usual rush to the point, die, repeat. Even if for the attacker/defender games like give the defenders 2 minutes or something at the start of the match to be able to set up actual defenses.
Comparing Anti-Cheat with Anti-Virus Software is a bit problematic, because im willing to give my Anti-Virus much more permission on my Devise. Kernel Level Anti-Cheat for example is a terrible idea, since Anti-Cheat Software is often Low quality in terms of not making your PC crash when given to much permission. I would hope that the gaming industry Put as much work into Anti-Cheat as they do for anti-pirating though. I also think that using 3rd Party Anti-Cheat Software makes sense for small and some medium sized development Studios since they dont always have the knowledge or time to spare. I just hope their new Tool wont see my Low FPS related artifacts as unusual behavior.
yeah good point. so the gaming world basically needs a big, rich company with lots of experience in either anti-virus or gaming to make the best anti cheat software out there that can become the gold standard. though that much centralization would also make it susceptible. but since that wasnt tried before, it could work out.
Ps5 German main, today every single match has been 4 or 5 other PlayStation players and the rest are bots so of course we get steamrolled, anyone else notice that?
not beheaded, hands cut off but these were rare occurrences that got some fame due to it being strange for a country like finnland. it wasnt official law but happened on some occasions and likely they were talked up around the whole country as an extra measure of deterrence.
21:43 i play egainst stronger and i play egainst weaker players. I dont think that entlisted either has enough players , nor matchmaking gonna help it, every measurement practice gonna be exploitable. If they realy wanna introduce it, separating it from main game is probably the best idea, expechaly because gear, matters, a lot😅😅😅

I heard that developers don’t touch cheaters in old games like battlefield and COD on purpose, so player base will shift to the latest iteration

Yeah I wouldn’t mind SbMM as long as it wasn’t Call of duty style
Its 2024, so cheaters can just identify themselves as noncheaters
Hey, Will you do video about graphics and the best settings for them after the update
Create a anti-cheat software and sell cheat programs on the side so the industry can move on!
And reporting is a waste of time.
im a 14 year old Finnish boy and i didnt know that ppl were behedet for stealing in the last century. even in school no one has teached me this haha.
