@@javipk7 same lol The rest of the song is great, but that was a little too close to Mike’s verses on that track. I get that they were influenced by LP, but that’s a little too on the nose for me lol And as rap, the bars are average at best tbh. Not saying Mike was saying philosophical shit in Echo, but he had already proved he could actually rap with Fort Minor by that point.

This band changed my life, every song they made is awesome and original in their own way I was searching for good music for a while then stumbled upon this band arround a year ago, now I listen to them everyday.

Ok I'll admit that when I first heard this band I immediately thought of Linkin Park. But after really listening to them and becoming a huge fan of both I can see that they are totally different and I encourage this band to keep doing what they're doing!!

they have some experience now, i can't wait to see what they do! second and third albums have this trend of being the Best. Linkin Park, Fallout Boy, Mayday Parade, Greenday, etc. they all kind of found their hits in that second/third album

honestly this is better than lp. I love lp. But they fell to far from their tree. Their old stuff is great. But this band makes me feel way better then when I listened to lp. the message is super up building. lp is awesome but this band blows me away with every verse.

Based off of the fact that all Nu Metal was a marketing scheme in order to make money by bridging the gap between Metal and Other popular genres of the era.
Then Linkin Park emerges as the epitome of this Pop-Metal movement, with a super over-produced, clean-cut, approachable sound.
Then after some time goes by, someone from their label claims that Linkin Park was something they created, and that all their music was ghost-written (probably not entirely the case, but the scandal was still there.)
Then their second record drops, and it might as well have been their first one, same dynamics, same song-writing. Its like a part 2 to the first record.
Then after that success, instead of making a third album, they make a remix album, capitalizing more on the Rap and Electronic side of Nu Metal. Then 2005 comes around and because Rap is just as popular as the dying Nu Metal sound, they do yet ANOTHER remix album with Jay-Z. So they made about 4 albums of 2 albums worth of songs they KNEW would sell.
And then, 2006 six comes around, and the last Nu Metal albums were released, and Nu Metal comes to a close. 2007 comes around and Linkin Park COMPLETELY changes their genre. They kept their signature sound and killer song-writing, but became something that feels altogether more real and adult, something they've probably been dying to explore. It's truly thought provoking and musical. And they never went back to anything remotely like that style. They moved further and further away from rock music even, just exploring and loving music.
I guess everyone claims they are back now...but not really, their latest album is more of an Punk-Rock album.
Anyway, I am a huge fan of Linkin Park, they are the band I respect, probably, the most.
And you are right, I couldn't possibly know that, its all just speculation based off of how I've seen their career go, and how much I like and pay attention to Nu Metal.

These guys are smart....I'm a first time listener here and I can say this. LP fans have been craving another album like Hybrid Theory or Meteora for years now. I'm by no means comparing them to LP, only stating they use a similar formula that people have been wanting for quite some time. With that and a tad of modern (if you want to call it that) chug type riffs and clean vocals involved, I can see them bringing in a good crowd.

Do you people even know what Nu-Metal *sounds* like?! Hybrid Theory and Meteora were barely Nu-Metal. Barely. The term Nu-Metal is better applied to Korn, Slipknot, Staind, Deftones, Limp Bizkit, Incubus, Trapt, and P.O.D. LP very barely resemble those bands, and this doesn't at all. This is melodic metalcore with rapping. That's all it is. It's basically what would happen if We Came As Romans had a rapper. Adding a vocal style, rapping, over semi metal instrumentals doesn't make Nu-Metal at all. There are other factors like scales, types of guitars, key signatures and time signatures that separate Nu-Metal from it's other metal counterparts. Not just rapping.
Linn The Final Flash "Nu metal music is largely syncopated and based on guitar riffs. Mid-song bridges and a general lack of guitar solos contrasts it with other genres that are part of heavy metal, in which guitar solos play a major role. Another contrast with other metal genres is its emphasis on rhythm, rather than complexity or mood, tending towards groove metal in rhythm. Ryan Walsh Essentially, this music doesn't groove. It isn't as compact and controlled as Nu-Metal requires it to be. Groove isn't as important in the metalcore genre, but this is more rhythmic than standard metalcore. Therefore, the best label is melodic metalcore, Like We Came As Romans or certain BMTH songs
