Oh my gosh - I didn't know there was a heat guide!! I'm brand new to my Cricut Maker and Easy Press Mini... and I was just guessing about heat and time. How did Imiss it?? Lol! 😳 Thank you for showing that guide!! Love your channel and your style of teaching. And that sign is so cute!! 😊
What a great idea for a project. Going to be a WONDERFUL gift for a particular relative of mine, for this Christmas. Thank you for your excellent teaching style, your attention to detail, and your lovely ideas.!!!
I just love all your tutorials, these projects are awesome. You talk so nice, slow and you sound so sweet. As I have told you before Im new to this world and you have shown me sooooooo much, really thank you so much!!!
Love this, found some words while watching 😅. Bethany I will be working on my very first wood projects I will be using chalk pain and smart permanent vinyl any advise before I start? Both my sisters are pregnant so I thought doing the baby name on a wood frame very similar to the family sign that you made. I can never thank you enough for all the ideas that you share with us
Oh yay! Making signs is so much fun! I personally like to sand my painted wood after painting, just to smooth out the paint strokes and have a really smooth base before placing my vinyl! You'll do great! And I have lots of vinyl on wood tutorials on my channel!
That is awesome ... I have been wondering if I could use HTV on painted wood! Thank you so much - HTV is such a dream to weed ... so now I am exited to try it. Love the design ....💞💞💞
I love this idea! Another great video. I tried to make this. Each character has an outline of clear transfer material. It didn’t turn out well at all. Any advice on what I could have done to prevent this from happening?
What you are seeing is probably the adhesive coming out from under the letters, which mine has a little bit of too. Mine wasn’t so noticeable that I felt my project was ruined however.
I think weeding can be really hard, especially when the lettering is very thin. Also when removing vinyl from certain letters, it can be hard to see where the cuts are, and you poke into an area that does not need weeding, and now there is a big hole in it.
I just saw a tutorial that showed how using one of those wafer thin light boards underneath the vinyl will allow you to see the lines easier. Not sure you can weed ON it, but you could look at the tricky spots before putting your weeding tool into that spot. 🤷♀️
I have not created my own word search (though I do enjoy doing them). I’m going to say again, you are brave. I think I’m weeding challenged - lol - therefore it causes me to become tense 🤦♀️
You confirmed that I can use iron-on vinyl on painted wood. Great project!
I’ve learned so much from bethadilly in just the short time that I started to follow. Isn’t she amazing?
Thank you so much, Penny! I’m so happy to hear that!
yessssss
Wow, now I really want my Cricut machine. Nice project!!
Yes! Projects like this remind me of all the fun things a Cricut can do!
Love this! You did a wonderful job weeding it! I love the reverse weeding technique!

Oh,great project! Lucky you decided on Iron-On. Couldn’t see doing this with permanent vinyl! Unless you have a few hours for just weeding.... 😉🌸
Exactly! Adhesive vinyl would have been trickier both when weeding and when trying to place on the sign! This was so much easier!
How pretty! I love to weed htv.(not so much regular vinyl ) lol...It’s super relaxing. Tfs
Tai’s Crafty Spot regular vinyl always ruins my manicure!
CONGRATULATIONS on your 10K subscribers 👏🏻🌸
Thanks so much, Sylvia!

What a great idea! 💜
Thank you so much!
Great idea 💡 x
Thank you!
I love your videos. Do you put a clear coat/sealer on your chalk painted wood after sanding it?
I personally don't add any sealer to my wood signs. I am so happy you love my videos!

I tried to do with makeup brush for personalised name. But it burned the paint and wood. What would you suggest for makeup brushes?
LOVE this concept! I’m thinking about using this method for a large stained wood with several lines of text, is this a good idea for stained wood too?
I believe so, but I have only done painted or natural wood so far!

Yes! It is a dream to weed, I agree! And placing it is so much more forgiving than adhesive vinyl!
Do you mind sharing where you got your flowered desk mat from? Thanks 😊
I made it! If you search "bethadilly craft mat" you should be able to locate the tutorial!
@@Bethadilly thank you!

@@Bethadilly do you think it has anything to do with the quality of the htv? Are some better than others?
@@deenagrossman4859 yes, some are better than others. But I have used some of the best ones and this happens.
@@Bethadilly Thanks so much! Looking forward to seeing all your new videos.

Ha ha! It seems that people either love weeding or don't love weeding! I was lucky to find this design, so I didn't have to create one!
