Oh Shayla, this is so terrible. I'm so sorry. This brought me to tears as i know far too well the feeling of suddenly losing everything you own. But much like we experienced, it is incredible to see how those who love you have really stepped up. I know no matter how much you recieve to cover losses(also screw that insurance company), it won't replace the memories you lost on the hardrive or treat the trauma that this has created for you. I hope you are able to find a space where you feel safe enough to sleep as a break in is such an afront to your feeling of personal safety and security. I am angry and sad but also moved by the outpouring of support. Hoping that these messages of support feel like the world is collectively saying they love you both.

This is beyond horrible! I have this notion that insurance companies’ initial response to all claims is to deny them and (appear to) re-evaluate after the 2nd attempt to claim. I’m really glad you guys are safe. That’s irreplaceable.❤
