Hello friends! In this tutorial I will show you how I created these super simple crochet mesh sleeves. I've been seeing sleeves like this around for a while now and kept meaning to try and create them. There are many ways to make sleeves like this, but this is my way! :)
Below you can find the link to the yarn I used and the link to a full tutorial on how to create the mesh stitch. If you have any questions let me know in the comments and I will be happy to help!
Stay Spooky,
Nessa :)

Great top and super easy tutorial to follow along with! Currently making this top and I can’t wait to wear it!
The best tutorial I've seen for this top❤ Thank you!!!
omg thank you so so much!! 🥹🖤🖤 I am so glad you enjoy it!!
Yes I'm going to make this! I'll probably do a dusty light blue one and a pink one. I accidently ordered too much pink yarn from hobbii for a blanket I'm making 😅. Thanks for the tutorial! It's very clear and easy to follow.
Yay!! I'm so glad you like the tutorial, thank you so much! 🥰 Also those colors are going to look so great! It really is a perfect project to use up some extra yarn since it's so quick to make!
I finished this up yesterday and it's turned out perfectly. The 1st yellow I made was from another pattern and it looked crap but urs is great. Im now on my 3rd one now but gonna continue it in to a full top. Thank u for sharing x
Yayyyy this makes me so happy! I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
I’m making my first one but from a different tutorial. I already see my sleeve are different sizes…Your way looks so much easier…so I’m going to commit to finishing the one I’m working on now and make another one using you tutorial.
You can never have too many anyways! ;) I find myself making a lot of these sleeves in different colors as well haha
Omg yay so excited you’re going to be making your patterns on here 🥰🥰🥰 thank you so so so so much! I’m gonna make your patterns for sure! 🖤 I’m still trying to get better at reading patterns, but seeing them done is just so much easier. 🥹
omg of course!! 🥰🖤 I thought it would be nice for that exact reason - learning crochet is so hard at first and I would love to try and help others if I can!
I would recommend to ppl to use a hook size or 2 down for starting chain as my 1st 1 of these looked baggy on that chain row. That imo of course tho, mean no harm by recommending this 😘
omg no worries!! Tysm for the recommendation! Everyone crochets differently so this could totally help someone if they are having the same issue! Thank you so much for the support! 🥰
@@nessasknots ur welcome and thanks for not taking it the wrong way. I'm on my 2nd 1 now 😘
@@emmachapman1179 omg yay!! I'm so glad you like the tutorial!! 😍
Thank you for this tutorial :) I used smaller yarn for hook size 4mm (I used a 5mm to make it looser) and I always chained 2 instead of 1, because I felt 1 wasn't a big enough gap for this smaller yarn. I also ended up having to chain 500 😆🥲
🖤🖤🖤🖤
🥰🫶🖤
could i in theory keep adding to the bottom when i’m done with the sleeves and make the shirt(?) part full length?
Yes! You totally could! If you attached the yarn to one side you could work in rows to make it longer on each side! 🥰
heyy amazing and simple tutorial! i have a question, so is 100g yarn ball enough to make this?
What color sleeves would you make? 🖤
Love this tutorial so clear and helpful :D ill probably go for a dark green or purple qnd work my way up to dofferent colours
@@joebattye6542 Thank you so much for watching and for the support!! 🥰 A dark green or purple sounds so awesome!!
I'm trying to make one with the metallico yarn from hobbi, in black of course :D i might make the chest piece a bit longer tho :)
omg that sounds so pretty!! I've been wanting to try that yarn, how do you like it? :)
I like it a lot, it's soft and warm and the metallic finish is pretty cool, especially the dark blue one. But and it's a big one, if you need to frog anything it's gonna be hard, especially on small stitches.
@@p_hyo4110 I will have to try it sometime! I always love soft yarn and I wasn't sure if it would be soft but I am glad to know it is!!
I'm in the process of doing a hot pink one ♡♡
omg LOVE!!! It's going to be so cute!!
how much yarn did you use aproximately??
I'm making one in tan for my grandaughter
That sounds so nice!!
Just curious have you made one out of chuncky yarn like Bernat blanket? I have the pretty purple color that would look amazing like this! But I don’t know how well it would work
I haven't made one personally but since it's made to measure you could totally use any yarn!! :)
How much yarn do you need for this please.
I was very careful to not stretch it while I did my foundation chain, but now that I’m ready to finish the sleeves are short
Im not sure why but I didn’t experience this! I’m wondering if it’s because I made my neck hole extra large?
Super cute new subscriber here
Yay!!! Thank you so much for the support!! 🥰🖤🖤🖤
Is there a written pattern ? :)
So far this is my only one that’s not a PDF! 🥺 I do have other patterns that are written on my Etsy and ribblr though! 🫶🖤
How much yarn did you use to make this please?
I used almost four skeins of 5weight yarn using a 8mm hook.
400m or 436yd but I wanted it a bit oversized so you may need less if you measure it to fit tighter.
Or more if you're adding length to the back and front panel after the sleeves are done, which I may do to add more coverage.
Please I don't get the way you do the measurement so can you explain it to me?
Sure! All I've done is measure the length of my arm span with a measuring tape. Then I make my starting chain that length. Then I would suggest adding a few inches on each side so the arms don't become short when you try it on. I did not have this issue, but I've seen a couple comments where folks did. I believe it may depend on what type of yarn you are using, or if you make the neck hole smaller, the sleeves will appear shorter.
Thank you 😊
