I have a 2250 loader on a 666. Very easy on and off mounting and dismounting. Good loader. Went to a friend's auction today, He passed last April, and the family sold his equipment today. All red tractors from a Farmall A to newer Case IH tractors. 1066 brought a little over $20,000. That was his pride and joy. I ended up buying 2 sets of half weights and 1 set of round weights. Also bought the IH 154 as well. He had 2 582's which 1 had a PTO. They hadn't run in a long time. Bid on them but didn't get either. Was kind of a bittersweet day, every piece of equipment reminded me of a story about him.
Ya,, 982 had a nice cutting deck on it, those Onan engines are great until they aren't,,, overhaul parts are ridiculously expensive when it comes time, And the hydrostatic system is wonderful, it's great on a lawn mower to not have to shift, but having it on the dash really Isn't much better than having a gear tractor, you want a lawn mower tractor with the hydrostatic pedals on your right foot, trust me. Thank you for taking us with to the auction.
Great video bud ,y'all sure have alot of great auctions up your way ,we don't have that many in Tennessee down my way ,that was a steal on that bushhog if gearboxes was good .
We have some serious hills in Central Kentucky and my cousin nearly bush hogged himself under with a 784 once...he had a batwing and started getting pushed down a hill. He knew he couldn't get away from it and just tried to guide it to the least worst crash...ended up in the creek at the bottom with a broken rear wheel casting and probably a stained seat, but no injuries. Lesson learned.
Those two 184's would have made at least one good one. The college had two of them to mow grass. Quick attach loaders are not really that quick to take off. Usually it is when I have to fix or service something. I would love a quick attach bucket but at my age I'm not going to retro it.
Just a heads up for you guys with any UK built tractors, I noticed the oil return line on the 784 going in the filler hole on the rear of tractor,do yourselves a favour and re route it to the bung under the right hand axle trumpet, this returns oil below the normal oil level and prevents cavitation in the hydraulic pump, I have seen more lazy or worn out pumps in my time, than I care to remember, every single one caused by oil returning to filler port, strong money for the 784 but looked a decent machine
I bought a 982 (2nd owner) a few years ago. The tractor was great, but that onan sucks. The one in your video looks exactly like the one I had. We still use a 784 and it's gotta be the best setup for taking a loader on and off. Keep up the video's!
It's funny that you mention people living in the hills. I'm in the southern Missouri Ozarks and can't figure out how people live without the hills 😂. My mom is originally from the Missouri bootheel area, which is very, very flat. I love to visit the area, but I'm always ready to get back in the hills. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Keep up the good work, brother. BTW, you're absolutely right about the sub to views ratio. There's so many that have hammered subs, but don't get the views they should. Quality over quantity 👍
why almost 2 g on the 982 cub cadet ? Because first, The red cub cadets were the last of IH brand cub before MTD bought them out. IH was allowed to sell these cubs till they were all gone ( I think they had to paint them red ) and the only thing left was the International trucks. They are very desirable because of the rarity of them. Diesels are almost as much as the farmall M diesel . The last of the durable cub cadet till they went MTD junk. Can still get all parts for them. Very popular in the northeast ( especially in PA ) Oh and nice check book. lol
As soon as I finish my power swap in my 340 utility I'm looking for a loaded myself. Preferably I'm looking for a 2000 or 2001 and don't plan on removing it. It's quite a little chore 😂😂.
@@FarmallFanatic I don't. You are correct. I already have more tractors than I do acres of land. I just love old American iron. Mainly Farmall and Massey Ferguson.
Do u remember that piece of wood that you signed for me at the Greenhill auction well over night it cracked and I was really upset about it 😢 Farmall fanatic
Thank GOD he didn't bless me with alot of $$$$$$$.$$ or I'd have a Barn Bigger than yours FULL of all kind of tractors!!! Gr8bshow Short but Sweet!!! 😇🙏👍🥳
That's how actions looked 40 years ago. The auctioneer actually worked to set things out in the yard. Carry stuff out of the house etc. I've been to kiko sales where they tag everything in the house and sell by the tag #. Or they don't want to deal with the class act of on-site bidding and do online aution. Lazy.

I think eventually it will happen. I do appreciate you doing that.

I missed that one, looks like he had a lot of nice IH stuff.
@@Joey966 Yes he did. He worked for IH many years ago as well as Case and Moline

154 and 184 but yes
Love the 982 garden tractor , my brother has a Cub super garden tractor that’s newer 25.hp that I’m waiting on him to sell me 👍 Thanks Geno🇺🇸
I'm gonna be due for one here in the next year or 2.
great job
That 784 is just what I’m looking for. Without the truck tires though!
Perfect loader tractor

What exactly made it suck
That seat on the H is from older models, so I've heard. My dads H had one. the seat flips up out of the rain. I was told they ride hard.
Probably why you never see em around
Good video thanks for taking me along
Always a good video when you take us along to an auction with Red Power 💪💥 thank you 👍
Thanks
I always liked the red Cub Cadets, There kinda rare and the 982 is the big boy. I think the 582 and 782 were more common.
Yeah it's the first i've seen
Keep the video coming
onan is a great engine john deere 300 series also had onan engines #redpower
I agree
Ball valve fuel shutoff on the H. I agree with you that ya still need to separate the condensation out of the fuel. A L B.
Better start grabbing them 82 series mowers. Not many nice red ones left. Wish I had the 1282 I learned on .
True

Condition sells
That H runs pretty nice.. Pretty good deal..
Boom! Those 982s are good tractors, I think that was fair priced for one.
Most Definitely.I just knew the guy was gonna run me up
Absolutely
Auction weekend 💪🏼❤
982's are hard to come by! Bought one back in December, have yet to get it running. $1600 is not bad for a good machine like that one.
No not at all...wonder how high we could have got it
Sometimes those are the type of auctions where you can get a good deal on something- and sometimes not LOL

Yea, either would work
I was gonna go to that auction I missed it
And an even better deal on the 154!!
I need a crank for the A. Lol 😂 Enjoyed the video.
See if I would have known, I would have got you one
If it doesn't take too much to get that 184 running, probably a pretty good deal..
I don't think it would take too much
Way to go, Mimi! 😂
Hehehe
I would've bought that H. I need it like a whole in my head but for that price I would not have been able to stand it.
You must not have one already

Yep
The dog dish was the muffler cap 😂
😅
I'm sorry you had to suffer with Rotten Ronnie's again but thanks for sharing this auction with us

Some cool Red Power here!!

I watched a 982 with a lot of attachments go for $250. If I had the space...
Something wrong with it?
@@FarmallFanatic No, just sitting for a while, faded paint. I'm out of space!🤣

About filming people and whether they like it or not. Brings back the auctioneer who didn't while pull starting a tractor 😂😂
He wasn't an auctioneer...he was a cocky old man
I have a Red IH 782 . Only problem with the red 982's were they didn't have power steering .... Let's go let's go Brandon
I'm the King of being use to no power steering
I haven't never seen wheel on the inside why would someone do that 🤔??
Good question
Can u let me know if you decide to sell the farmall A
Sorry not trying to be annoying
FF
Yep
@FarmallFanatic thank you I’m just looking for a farmall A for my first tractor.
Not to mention that my birthday is in about a month and a half 💪
Too bad that 2250 didn't sell separate.
Exactly
A lot of money for a lawn mower
Yeah I mean it was a nice tractor but too rich for my blood
the 184 is the last version of the cub 185 low boy
Nice machine
