NOBLE GEORGE nope,as muslims we are only taught to read arabic so that we can read quran....yes,if u read in a qawmi madrassa's higher level, u'll have to study arabic,farsi and some other language to study the history and cultural heritage,literature and hadith...this guy has been living in UAE since he was a kid...so,he had to learn arabic to communicate with others....
