- The IWI Masada, IWI's version of a Glock, or maybe is a HK P30, or maybe its a Sig Sauer P320. Well actually its a little bit of all three. Polymer striker fired pistol with the capacity, and ergonomics that rival may of the big name pistols at a fraction of the price.
I’ve shot about 1000 rounds thru mine with NO issues whatsoever. I love this pistol. I’ve heard all the reviews that say it shoots low. This is what I’ve “heard”. Some manufacturers on the other side of the Atlantic, factory set the sights different than Americans. While we tend to set our target on top of the front site, they cover their target with the front site. If I cover my bulls eye with the front site (the unAmerican way) at 7yds, I hit it dead nuts. At 10 yards, if I set bullseye on top of the front site, I hit dead nuts there.
Like all firearms, if you get to know it, you’ll be good at it.
About the modularity. I understand that IWI will have different frame sizes and colors available when they’re convinced we Americans are buying enough of their guns to make that manufacturing process worth the cost.
Masada Fan here, I've read a lot of complaints about it shooting low. This firearm come zeroed to 25 meters So you need the dots in line at any distance and you will hit the target. Mine has an incredible 3.5 pound trigger pull and a crisp shortish reset. I have fired 600 rounds or more and no jams and only cleaned it once .Its my EDC and I highly reccomend it for Left handed shooters like me. Will buy another when my Finances Allow.
You’re the only reviewer I’ve seen that has mentioned this pistol is modular like a 320. This pistol is money, thanks for the vid and Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks man. I have wanted one for a while. I am excited to see what IWI brings for the Masada. This is in my opinion is one if the best striker fired pistol in the sub 500 price point.
Thank you and others for convincing me too but one, VERY HAPPY WITH IT!!! 👍😉
And for an ex methhead, with nerve damage from MS and a seisure last October. Day one went pretty sweet at 25 yards!!!
I’m gonna get one of those cheap hand squeeze excercisers and start doing curls too build up my fore arms and hand strength, and about 2-3 thousand rounds at the range, and add a Vortex Venom red dot and I’m gonna be someone who’s house you DO NOT wanna screw around at!!! LOL🤟😉
Day one with the afore mentioned disabilities!!!
And my Groupons were tight as hell!!! 😜
Love my masada!!!!
Thank you IWI!!!!
Masada is my EDC. I real sleeper in the 9mm line up of pistols. Does so many things right.
Agree 100%
The only thing I don't like about my Masada is the fact that I can't get a duty grade holster for it. Other than that, it's an awesome gun with a lot of features for a pretty low price.
Love mine! Purchaced in 2019 with approximately 5000 rounds and not 1 hickup.
Even more impressive, this gun came to the USA in 2017 claiming it's "modularity" and here we are in 2022 five years later. IWI nor ANYONE else has made a SINGLE grip module for it, go figure.
I like the bourbon analogy.
I freaking love my Masada. I have not one single issue. 4 lb trigger, the wall, break and reset are second to none that are not a 1911.
I grabbed this for $356 and put a cylee optic on it. Damn thing runs great. It won't be my edc but it's a fun gun for the range.
I have one and really like it. It fits my hand well and I like how it shoots. And as a lefty I like the ambi features that actually work.
Glad the Masada is getting some love .
Nice review and look forward to the next one .
Thanks Jeff. I try and see all your vids. Keep up the honest reviews.
Steve thank you man. I appreciate your support. Hope you had a good thanksgiving. I got one coming that probably gonna upset some if the “free gun” pay to play review guys. :-) 🤙
I’ve had mine for over a year and needless to say it’s the best sub $500 pistol out on the market in the 9mm striker fire category. At first it felt cheaply made in my hand, but after trying it again, buying it and using it for a few hundred rounds I have to say it’s one of the best bang for the dollar deals out there. No issues with the plate so far and the only thing I’d consider changing on the gun is the trigger - but that’s applicable to most striker fired guns not named CZ/Walther/Canik.
A little more meat on the review would be great, but otherwise a nice short and sweet overview. Nice job!
I felt the same way about the trigger at first but now I really like it. Much better than my Glocks.
Love the videos man. Need just a liiiiiiitle more tho. Really like when you go into the actual shooting footage and talking while you shoot about how it feels as you’re shooting not just after you shoot! Gives a more genuine and immediate opinion. Keep it up tho!
I will try and factor this in. To the upcoming. Reviews
@@rdrgear just the opinion of one guy! I’ll keep watching and supporting either way!
When you put on the holosun us the 10mm screws not the 12 that’s with the rmr footprint, holosun with 12mm will touch the extractor and cause failures.
I love my Masada as well. If you get a chance try reviewing the new Jericho Enhanced they are both great.
Great review…keep em coming, thank you!
smooth shooter , love mine !
PLEASE do a review with the Holosun 507C Vulcan ACSS red dot....I have been searching for this type of video for ever!!
Love my pistol shoots soo smooth🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Good review. Just subscribed
The plates are more of a spacer as the screws go directly into the slide. My mags are starting to hang up tho.
Been waiting for another frame or slide configuration, IWI could learn from Berettas APX line
With shot show around the corner I’m sure they will have something.
I have one like it Edc.
Let us know if you did the review on the holosun installed on the masada.
I just got a holosun 508tx2, and heard there's some cautions to be taken with the screws that come with the trijicon RMR plate.
Feeding the algorithm! Good review man.
Appreciate you!!!
Is there a carbine kit for this gun like the kidon?
Several video reviewers demonstrated that, out of the box, the pistol shoots noticeably low. Did you experience that?
It’s because they are zeroed at 25 meters from factory
They use what's called a combat sight picture in which the dot of the front sight is centered on the target, not below it. If you use a standard sight picture where the three dots are aligned in a row and the point of aim is right above the center dot (front sight) then, yes, these will print low.
@@life_with_bernie When I first heard of this weapon's low shooting, I called IWI customer service. Their odd explanation? CS told me that there was 'problem' with the slide, but that the problem was 'corrected'.
Your clarification makes much more sense!
Thank you.
Will this fit in P320 Safariland holsters? I ask as I know you're the holster man too!
Nightly doubtful
Highly*
Put mine in a blackhawk omnivore
masada or canik mete sft?
At the price these two pistols cost. Get ‘em both.
I have both and both are amazing worth it for the price..
Canik for range/competition. Masada for self defense. Canik triggers are just too light for me to comfortably carry. I love both, so I'm 100% in the get both crowd.
You can have a METE SFT and Masada/Arex Delta for around $800 which is ab the price of an optics ready HK...but I do love HK's.
👍👍😁😁🔥🔥😊😊
I had this gun last year. I hated it. It felt so cheap in the grip area. It felt like cheap plastic. I also had issues with it. I had jams and failed to go into battery. Yes, it shot flat and the recoil was minium.
Shot over 500 rnds out of the box with absolutely no problems..I like it
I love mine. It is very well made, extremely reliable and a smooth shooter.
