Thanks! I brought a step ladder, but that made the security very uneasy (even though it was at least 30ft from the fence)! Right after filming that last clip, a police officer showed up and interrogated/treated me pretty rudely, then forced me to leave, and then followed me until I left the airport altogether! It even was a public parking lot!
Thank you for that nice comment! Just wish there were some larger planes out on that runway, but it was a complete joy to be that close in itself. Thanks =)
Wow, very nice video!! really awesome shots! I love the taxi's and the powerful take off's! :) Very nice Delta 757 at 10:00 :) Great work, a very big like from me!! :)
some policemen are like that because they simply don't know... yes, i've been run-off of airports too. the step-ladder is never a good idea in my opinion, though. i only use that at airports that are friendly to spotting in the first place and even then almost never.
Well I used it as a learning experience and now just laugh it off =) I think its safe to say that you have LOTS more experience plane spotting than me-and with that, any advice to make yourself look less "suspicious" while plane spotting?
Thanks and I REALLY wanted to film it more, but someone called me in as a 'suspicious' person and a police officer made me leave, even though I had already been there for a couple of hours. Guess you have to expect that with plane spotting.
I have been ask to leave once, and have been ask for an id and what I am doing recording the airplanes. It comes with the territory, any way thanks for posting this video!

Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it! I really had fun filming it!
well done! like how you viewed in on the action the best you could despite the fence.

Hell of a nice video! Thank you very much :)
You should try the macnamera lot. You can see two runways that are pretty common although, they do not have many large planes.
at 19:40 it is really a hell of a takeoff queue !!!! Thanks so much

Interesting.... I've been to almost every spotting location in Detroit but not the Green Lot.
Thanks! I will try that

Yeah you're right, it does come with the territory. Thanks.
