I was just in a Cocktail bar in Seoul where the owner bought two McIntosh amps to run two speakers, and hires Vinyl Djs [ whaaat?] to come in with their own collections of vinyl, spinning up individual tracks the whole night off of vinyl; what the actual hell. I didn't know this hobby gets that out of hand....
Many may not be aware, but using the HDMI on the C2700 gives an incredible front soundstage with a "phantom" center channel in my experience. I'd assume it may be the same here, there is some magic in using the HDMI connection for me for TV. Thanks for the video Adrian.

With your knowledge and experience, it would be great to do an experiment, just for kicks... Buy a good Chinese tube amp, Cayin or similar, and have your team do a blind test against something comparable and see if they are really that far behind.... wouldn't that be fun? Just saying... 😊
Waiting to have some (good) explanation about the 4 lamps instead of 6 in the C2700… why, and impacts.
I think it’s because the C2800 circuitry combines MC and MM so only two tubes needed for that. I have the C2800 from a C22 and it is remarkably better sounding, especially the phono stage.
I would really like to understand that as well. It looks to me like the sea 2700 was using 2 dual triode tubes for each of MM and MC using only one channel on the triode. Looks like the 2800 uses both triodes in the 12ax7a. But I am just guessing because I can’t find a picture of the C2800 view with the diagram.

How about double blind tube vs solid state unboxing 😂 But seriously, the active crossover option is very cool. Far better to do it at the preamp level.
Hello Audio Excellence, great Video like always!😃 I assume one can adjust the Volume also for the second Room/Output 2 separately from the main output? In my case I want to use 4 Speakers in one big Room, of which 2 have 95 dB efficiency and 2 85 dB. Thank You!

Hi Adrian! I noticed that good-looking white tower in the corner of the room behind you, left of that rack holding a lot of vinyl LPs. Is that white tower a bass trap, and if so, does it perform well? That one is SO much better-looking than the other bass traps I've seen. Where could I buy that?

Thanks for all the awesome videos. Adrian I have a Hifi Rose RS130 coming and not quite sure the best way to hook it up to the DA2 on my C2800, can you help out? I can only think of the USB A to B as the best source. It would be nice when McIntosh starts including I2S ports, perhaps on the DA3.....
Connect the digital output from the HiFi Rose to the DAC2 module. USB will have the highest potential resolution if you have high rez files
Why do you need so many inputs - I own a C8 - it has the perfect number of inputs
