"Write down a plan" - it's so simple yet so effective! Maybe I never thought about it because planning feels like something to do if painting a chapel ceiling, not if you do watercolor for fun. And yet, when you say it it makes so much sense. Thank you for the great tips!
Thanks Christian. All good advice. Having a clear plan is what I need. I do a lot of 'trials' of each part first ; sky, greens, buildings etc, on small pieces of paper. As for overworking, I do it less now after messing up so many skies :))
This is great - a good reminder to always make a plan . But the tip I really liked and must try is the routine of starting your painting session by finishing a painting from a previous session- a great way to get into the right mind frame and give creativity a jump start!
Me identifico totalmente con la "enfermedad" . He observado que me ayuda muchísimo participar en concursos de pintura ràpida, porqué te obliga a no entretenerte en detalles y la pintura és mas espontánea, a veces con resultados sorprendentes. Y efectivamente, también me és muy útil planificar con antelación el tema que voy a pintar. Saludos cordiales y gracias!
