Love how you've integrated the gear review with relevant MTB footage to illustrate the key points. Going over those rocks is awesome. $39 seems reasonable, given the importance and quality. Thanks Sage!
Thanks Ben. You are always too kind. Side note, hearing about your injury I think a bike or stationary trainer might help. I find it is a great way to cross-train and up your fitness.
@@TrailSage not too kind mate just giving you the praise you deserve! I think you're right. Time to get a bike I think. Won't be fancy like yours but it will get me from A to B. 🤣
Awesome review Sage. You guys know how to have fun on backyard and you definitely know how to explore an equipment doing great reviews. Congrats friend.
Excellent video man! I haven’t thought much about my grips to this point. I am going to check out these Ergons. Just found your channel and subbed. I look forward to checking out more of your videos!
Nice review mate... A very well done video. Longevity is a thing though... I have become increasingly irate with "designed to fail" and "designed obsolescence" in the industry... And in general... I would rather have something that lasts, than something marginally better that needs constant replacing. (Yes... I know I'm odd)
Great point. I look at it like tires. You can get a tire with a soft compound which will grip very well but also wear faster. Hopefully with the improvements in technology and innovations they will make a grip that will do both. Thx for watching and the feedback.
@@TrailSage I'm willing to throw money down the tire hole, but even there, there's a limit... I've bounced around between tires until I settled on Conti's... Use their Black Chili compound and Apex casing. Last ages and have excellent grip.
Agreed, grips never get any love. It's usually tires and saddles that get the most attention. And yes, I am fortunate to have some pretty awesome trails close to me. Thanks for watching Sasha.
You are much too kind Jeffrey, ty. Regarding which to buy, I don't have the GE1s so I can't give you a true perspective. However based on the specs, if you are interested in a more all-mountain/enduro feel you may like the GE1s better. If you are riding is super techy terrain with lots of DHs then I would lean toward the GD1s. Regardless you will be happy in either. Also I would definitely opt for the "Factory" versions for either. Hope that helps.
@@TrailSage thanks a lot bro hope your channel will go viral this year. i had to w8 1 whole year and had crappy vid Quality. your vids look and help AMAZING so you will go viral very soon
@@ideastudio Thx Jeffery, I hope you are right. I am investing a ton of time (more than I like to admit) into the channel. Ty for the kind word of encouragement.

Ha! I had that spinny display thing from my video on LyteShow a few months ago. Now the electronic calipers on the other hand were totally bought for this video. Slowly building my production tools, lol.
@@FoCoFlowShow I love your Vids Forest, your production is great and your personality really comes through. I especially love how detailed you are in your trail rides. @@TrailSage dude thanks for the kind words! we should def do a collab video sometime this year - those PA rocks from this video look FUNNNN ... we have a lot of that down this way in VA and MD too
I'm still riding these grips on most of my bikes to this day and love them. Maybe the newest versions have a quality issue? Thank you for bring this to my attention.

I'm slowly building up a good library of footage for sure, lol. Thanks for the feedback Reto. I always appreciate your comments.
I'm glad you found grips that you like, I enjoyed the background footage, I didn't even know you could cycle up logs like that haha
I didn’t realize you were into bikes Tirnan. Thank you so much for watching.
Mt. Penn tech goodness! Very professional content!
Absolutely love this place. I have been riding here for 10+ years and I am still finding new stuff, lol. Thanks for watching

Great review! I love the Ergon grips too. Though they do wear out faster than harder grips. Mtb footage looks great! Mt Penn rules!
Thanks for you help in shooting it and being in it.
@@TrailSage Is that @therideabides making a cameo?! I didn't notice 🤣😜
Great review! I love my GE1 Factory grips. I’ve been wanting to try these.

Very good review. I'm like a snail on my MTB but I can understand the need of some good grips if I were riding like you! 😊
lol, thx man.
Very insightful

Looks great... I am such a wuss on the mountain bike , I don’t go fast enough to warrant a better grip!!

Hello, have you tried Ergon GE1? Can you compare them? Btw according your dimensions it should be a slim version, am I wrong?
Hey Martin, I have not tried the GE1s but they look like a good option. And yes, it is the slim version.
Excellent video, this is interesting to see! Keep up the great work, time to kill it in 2021😁
Thx for watching
Feel like grips are always pushed to the side with MTB talk but are definitely important. Also, those trails look super fun!
